nah, just friends/acquaintances, no bennies (not that kinda a girl).

...... one was morbidly obese when I met him age 25, surprised he lived as long as he did.

...............the other was a true monster, met him when he was age 8, nothing ever changed.
The ironic thing about his sudden death last week was that right before the Covid lockdown he had inherited 2.5 million dollars and was expecting to start enjoying it when poof, taken offa the Earth plane after a mere 10 days of suffering.

Don't let this happen to you aoh! ;) :biggrin:

only 10 days of suffering? shoot, i've been married for 27 years, lol. being my friend seems to be hazardous, or even a relative. just about out of all of the above. i remember my father saying to me (while at one of his friends funerals) "i reckon there won't be anyone i knew at my funeral..." and he was not wrong by much; other than my mother & my brother and i, there was ONE person there that had known him. she died two months later...

- lots to worry about in the world - if you let it bother you - but I get the feeling that most who make it over 60 (me being one of them) - are often complacent about the future - realizing their own morbidity - and the ability to make that shorter or longer - even if you already have established medical conditions - then its about taking care of this meat suit we wear thru life - and getting it to last longer - via good diet/exercise/mentality - to maintain a body and mind that can still enhance your quality of life - because you can't enjoy nothing - if you feel like crap -

Yesterday was one of my swim days.

I had my YMCA membership terminated in 2020, when I tried to talk with them about their slip & fall problem.

They had a drowning there in 2017. Note what happened to Don Lufkin, the fellow member who actually tried to help the drowning member while the lifeguards ran around, literally, like chickens with their head cut off.

So I started going to another gym, where I pay the day use fee of $18.

Then I have to get my "money's worth", which is often too much. Swam 3000 yards yesterday. Spent the afternoon & evening eating & cooling off in the tub, and eating some more. And smoking C.

:shucks:..... well, I have started walking my dog again. 'Climbing' the Hills from Hell will either end up killing me or making me stronger. :pointlaug

I told my doc, ya know doc, in this day and age their is more to life than longevity, unless people are totally oblivious to their surroundings and WTF is going on. :) :tiphat:

:tiphat: No, what I need are longer legs! :biggrin: ;)

When I 1st moved here I took 6 lb. Zippy Rocket Dog for his 1st walk in the new 'hood and everything was cool until the 2nd walk when he got a short distance to the end of the road, stopped and simply refused to move. He wouldn't go down the hill 'cause he knew he'd have to come back up, it's that steep!.

Only 1 of my pack will go for a walk with me. :)

I don't think the Olympics are controlled by the feds.
Is cannabis performance enhancing. That is the question. Simone Biles has left you in the lerch, pulling out of a few competitions. The reason seems to of been nerves. So... is cannabis performance enhancing?

I have to agree that anyone wanting a job in sport, at my expense, can live up to international expectations. Or they are no good to me. Find another job.
