Hello Tribe
All this camping talk gets me fired up but its two months till we leave the frost for the lost coast. Packer fan with all that family camp experience you must have some favorite camp foods and methods. If you care to share?
I just carry an electric skillet and coffee pot and do a lot of one pot meals I may add a slow cooker this year as I am adding a small trailer behind the hybrid this year to carry a beach cart so the kitchen can expand a little too.
Its my intention to start my gogi and elphinstone seeds this Saturday. I read other folk are getting more males than females from the Bodhi gear so I'm popping 11 of each hoping for 9 girls to go in flower in early April. I really want to pop some mexican landrace sativa I got from Bodhi but I really feel I should F2 them and share it out to keep it going. I don't have that extra light system now to do a 14 week seed run and keep myself and ms Hazrd in good bud so I think I will run them and share clones of the girls and leave the seed preservation to the big guys.:tiphat:

oh shit brother, a piss test is no joke
/all i can say is pray to every god you can think of and drink plenty of water
i will send you my best wishes!
im not surprised that you guys went deeper and camped farther away than seeley
dogwood sounds really nice, but your right it was a cold year last year, i tihnk they had snow up there until july with all the rain we had
yeah we have a list of hikes a mile long, brother!
some we might never even get to, but its fun to dream
we are currently in the middle of a sea to sea hike, walking from the pacific ocean out to the salton sea along the old trans county trail
so far we are just setting foot in the east county of san diego but are taking things kind of slow
/started at the pacific ocean at torrey pines and walked through sorento valley along the old trans county trail
we usually do out and backs, parking the car and walking a bunch, then turning around and doubleing back to the car
soon we will shuttle our hikes, parking at one spot, driving, then walking to the other car
when we get out to like ramona/ desert area, we will ahve to drive out and sleep over, then walk but thats a while away
sometimes its all about the journey and we are in no hurry
we would also like to do the crest trail one day and the mrs mentioned hiking the appalachian trail and some trail in mass by where she grew up
plus we get into all kinds of local adventures, always looking for the trail less traveled
i havent been doing much tent camping because of work
we like to head up to SLO and camp on the beach once a year with a group of the mrs friends
this goes back the the girls cheer days and its a really good group, im hoping to make it this year
its cool to drive your truck on the beach to camp
sorry to go on and on, man, but i guess you can say we really enjoy our time outdoors
best of luck on the piss test friend!

Well I am pretty sure I will pass the test. It's a lab test. I used my lil bros pee and my whizzinator. I was worried about the temperature, the lady didn't even look at it.

Funny you mention SLO. I worked for S LO Plastering for a month or so I really liked it up there. I have always wanted to camp at Pismo.somany cool places so little time. I really want to get up north To Yosemite, the redwoods. Yellowstone.

Hey, Pop Rocks,

I am grilling up some ribeyes, asparagus, backed potatoes for Valentine's day. Just a quiet night until the kids go to bed. Lol.

I used my brothers piss so the temperature was the only thing I had to worry about. The lady didn't even look at it. So I should be in the clear, knock on wood.I get a 1$ raise, vacation , 401 k as long as I pass. I wasn't expecting it. I have been there 4 months, most people will wait 9 months to a year to become permanent.

Greetings friends.

It's nice to be back after a few days of wonderful vacation time. I really enjoyed myself and had many great experiences in a short time. I will defenatley be headed back down to Alabama as soon as I can. I attended several Mardi Gras parades in Mobile, Al and learned that is where it started and a bit about why and how they celibate it. Talk about people who know how to have a good time, I've never seen a more excited and fun loving group of people. I also got to play a couple games of disc golf at a really cool and wooded course down there. We spent time at a beach house on an island right off the coast in the golf of Mexico. We spent time in rural parts of the area like Coden and bayou la batre. It was great and I'm so glad we found time to take this trip. I was so busy having a great time that I didn't even have time to worry about my plants back home. This is the first time I've left my plants for more than a couple days and I thought I'd be more nervous about it but to be honest, once I left the house and started driving down I never even thought about them until I got home. My bro did a good job keeping them watered and fed and everything looked good. They are putting on weight and allready getting really floppy so I did some tying up of the colas last night but will have to spend some more time on that soon.

Damn Fiddynuts,
Sounds like an epic vacation, Mardi Gras is a bucket list thing for sure. Beach house sounds epic. Glad you had a good vacation. We went to Vegas for 3 nights. I lost my freaking shirt. We saw Ron White which was really fun. I met up with a guy from here, and got some cuts of the Gg4, and some cuts of the cheese. We went out for steak and lobster at my favorite spot in vegas.

Sounds like you are going to have another crop of fat colas. Are these the clones from the last crop? Are you seeing any change from the seed run?

Good afternoon Packerfan.

Epic is a great way to describe the vacation for sure. I didn't know what to expect for the trip but everything was really cool. The geography down there in the Mobile area is really more like northern Wisconsin than like it is where I live, lots of hills and forest. Mardi Gras far exceeded any expectations I had and I can't say enough how much of a good time it was. I don't know how the Mardi Gras in New Orleans is but I can defenatly recommend the one in Mobile, not too big of a crowd but there were 180,000 partying hard. The beach house was great and b cause it's the off season it was really reasonably priced too.

I've not been to Vegas but have been to Reno a few times and we have casinos here in Wisconsin so I've experienced some gambling looses. I enjoy some black jack and especially poker but I'm no match for the guys who play a lot. Sorry you didn't win but I don't think many people do. When you mentioned getting a cut in Vegas I thought of GG4 right away. Keep us posted on how she grows and smokes, and the cheese too.

Yes these are clones of the same 4 I grew out last run. They are staying greener this time and getting a bit more frosty. The 2 that stayed shorter are staying even shorter this time from clone. If anything they are even more floppy and I'm having a hard time keeping them tied up. I've never seen plants any where near this floppy before, probably would be great for scrog type grow but a huge pain with just a couple bamboo stakes and they have a lot more weight to gain yet.

It looks like 3/4 red eye Jedi are girls so next run will be the 3 of them and a GSC. I'll need to get clones going in the next couple weeks but I don't want to jump the gun because a couple of the 91xSL went 11 weeks last time. I'm under the impression that clones will finish a week earlier than the seed plants so I'll have to plan for that.

Lol, I still CAN party the way I used to... but really try not too anymore... you know responsibilities and such. I will say when I’m away I still hang with the boys, but TRY to keep it social. Went out on the boat Friday and thought I was being good but Saturday morning, my body told me otherwise

Hey guys
I hope all had a good weekend. I am glad to hear you speak of more family and friend time. Like they say life is what happens while you plan for the future. These Are the Good Times so enjoy its a short life.
My garden is finally looking like a flower patch I reran the candy kush from clone and a few of the others NL Cookie Kush and Dutch Kush. I also have one Ak47 from a friend who ran out of room. She's a long lanky girl sativa leaner already in week 5 he liked the shorter fatter girls and only wanted to run 3 plants to stay in the misdemener catagory.
I put my 12 gogi and 11 elphinstone seeds in a towel Sat AM and the sprouted seeds in cups Sunday evening it looked like they all cracked about half had a root already. I got the elph as a love freebie and since I ordered right before Christmas shipping was slow and he gave me two extra packs of the elphinstone for the delay. The elph is a skunk of sorts and I'm hoping for a good keeper from it. I keep my feelers out for some of that Kentucky Roadkill but no luck yet. Any one know of a good skunk available from seeds?

Good morning pop_rocks.
To me being in the south felt very comfortable. I noticed some of the subtle differences but much more the similarities with the people I met. Learning some of the traditions and the meaning behind some of them made me feel even more comfortable about being there. Lots of good kind people who just want to get allong and have a good time. The beautiful weather, wooded land, beautiful parks really appeal to me as well.

Your right my bro gets props for keeping the plants happy while I was gone. I kind of stuck him with some really out of control floppy lady's to take care of. They weren't too bad when I left but it took both of us to get them out of the tent by the time I got back, one to grab the pot and the other to support the branches.

All this time off has made me spoiled but my 10 day weekend is coming to the end and it's going to be back to work for me. The busy season at work is going to be here in a few weeks so it's going to be tougher to get time off for a little while. I should be able to scor a couple long weekends this spring and want to find a way to make the most of them. I work too much just like you guys and we know how hard it can be to get away or get ourselves to find a way to make it happen. After taking this trip I'm motivated to trying extra hard to do more trips, both like this one and short day trips to see things close by.

I'm with you pop on not being able, or choosing not to party like I use to be able to. To be honest if someone would have told me before this trip how busy I was going to be on it I would have thought that I'd have been exhausted, but I ended up having too much fun to notice how busy it was and never felt tired or like I needed chill time (and I love my chill time).

Good morning Badfishy.

I hear you fishy, I've been putting in plenty of long days and 6 day work weeks for a long time and a break is necessary for sure. I come up with a lot of excuses not to get away but when I finally do get away I always ask myself why not more often. Even just a long weekend to spend extra time with family can be a nice break. A trip to the mountains sounds great!

I'm sorry to hear your grandfather is not well. We don't get to choose how much time we get with family amd sometimes memories are all we have.

Yes getting older and wiser has its advantages as well as disadvantages. Keep it social but have a great time.

Good morning Rodehazrd.

I'm with you on making the most of the time we have and I'm going to try harder to spend more time with family and friends. There are so many distractions these days it's too easy to loose track of that.
I'm glad to hear that your garden is doing well. The AK must be a new addition I don't remember you mentioning it before. Always nice to add a little more variety to the mix.
I hope you get lots of nice lady's out of the elph and gogi seeds. I hope you like the Bodhi gear. As far as skunk seeds go I haven't heard anything good about what is available right now. It does seem like there is enough interest from people that someone will find it and breed it again. i think the closest you can get is a good chem cross or a sour diesel and hunt for what you like.

hope everyone had a great weekend!

man, i sure could use a few ten day weekends myself, f'nut!
that sounds like so much fun and im glad you had a good time down south
i actually lived down there growing up, went to kindergarden through second grade in fla
so i like to think i still have some of that southern fried flavor in me
/you are so right, that the people arent that different where ever you go
i think with your easy going vibe you could fit in anyplace there are good people brother!
so what did you think of the ol'ladys southern half?
im sure you hit it off with all her folks, but did anyone really stand out?

yeah rode, life is about the moments
sometimes we get wrapped up in work and loose sight of the really important things
lets all enjoy more time outdoors, eating good food and holding on to the ones we love the most!
my experience with most "skunks" is its all about selection
most are really good but you will find a few jems every now and then
if you find some really good ones be sure to let us know!

decided i would post a few pics
this is the garden overview at early flower, and they look like they are filling in nicely

i should have looked more into the strains i was cracking because it turns out i have two heavily leaning indica plants and two strong sativas
if i had know i would have run one set of seed first then the second set later
but hey, that just makes it more fun

hope everyone is enjoying the start to their week
i can almost smell spring in the air!

Well boys, I got good news, and bad news. I had to toss the gg4 and cheese clones, they were showing some powdery mildew. On a good note, I got 2 clones of the og my buddy's commercial operation grows. I have to rename it. Any ideas for name ? It's a white widow x unamed og. I haven't come up with anything yet.

Hey Fish
If you need a mountain and don't have a favorite try Black Rock in north Georgia nearby Talulla falls is a trip and Helen Ga. has a lot of kid stuff. For the adults the ocoee white water is the best we ever did and we did a lot. Its not so big mostly 3,s but it really moves and you won't find any flat water olympic kiyak contest was there. Clayton Ga. is a good home base. Drive over to Highland its a Scottish town or go to Cashiers Most beautiful town I know. Most expensive too. Rich folk often got good taste in real estate
We'll be in port st jo last two weeks in april camping on the cape. Kids flying in and out of panama city for long weekends with us. We do a lot of toasts and Jungle Tribe will certainly get the honor we'll face south north east and west and throw back a four roses for each of you. and light up a candy kush.
FLORIDIAN where are you come back up for us. :tiphat:
