Good afternoon Packerfan. This has been a boring summer, 1 camping trip, we will be going to mission beach next month. Last summer we did Disney land, Sand Diego zoo, and sea world. And camping and the beach.
Probably going to do one more campout next weekend.
More yummy food talk. Can't beat in-n-out. Double-Double animal style, all day long. We have family that live in Colorado, in-n-out is their first stop every time. Juicy Lucy sounds familiar, and delicious. I have done the stuffed burgers bomb for sure, I like cheddar and bacon. Or jalapenos.
Pop Rocks sorry to hear about the mites, that's always a freaking pain in the ass brother.
Fiddynuts, deadhead night sounds like a super chill event. I had a lot of friends who were all about the dead. We used to go to something called "Dead on the mountain " back in the mid 90s, awesome shows no Jerry Garcia though. We would get lots of kind bud, shrooms , acid and hash their. It was a trip, about 8,000 ft in elevation, up past a ski resort . People would camp along side the road. I was kinda surprised no body ever walked off the side of the mountain while tripping on acid or shrooms.
I hear you on feeling that you didn't get everything in that you wanted to this summer. I never seem to get as much done as I thought I would. Only one long weekend up north for me. Let's try to make the next couple months count and have some fun.
I wish we had in n out here in wisco. I have great memories of them. I use to hit the one in Sacramento on my way back from Tahoe when I'd go snowboarding up there. I think that the in n out equivalent around here is a place called culvers. They cook the burgers fresh to order and they are very similar. Fast food that is still food, and it's tasty, unlike mcshitty and other places.
The July Lucy was invented in St. Paul Minnesota I think. It's a burger with the cheese on the inside. Stuffing bacon and jalapeño in there wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit.
Dead on the mountain sounds like a great time. Jerry was in pretty bad shape in the mid 90's and died in 95 so that might be why he wasn't there. He was a great musician and leader but the music and scene will go on without him like it has. It seems like the other members of the band have played with so many other people over the years that there will always be someone who can keep the music going. You are right that there has always been great buds, shrooms and acid at the places where dead heads show up. The dead Would show up here every summer and play at least two but sometimes as many as four shows in back to back days. Alpine valley is a ski hill where thay would play and it's in the middle of farm country. A lot of farmers would wake up in the morning to find a bunch of heads sleeping in there fields. I think they got banned from playing alpine for a while in the late 80's because of that.
