Good afternoon rocker.
Glad everything worked out on your plants while you were away. That was great thinking to fry up some garlic, smells great and covers up everything.
I bet it's nice to have your guests out and your privacy back.

Hi FIddy, Thanks for the kind words and dropping by the 6 girl thread, I will do a six plant taste test Friday night, can't wait. I will have the house to myself, and I got a new turntable for Christmas, been playing my old vinyl LP's and picking up some new ones, some sound great others Meh, but it is fun to hold and look at albums and covers again. as for the harsh bud comment, it is funny each day it is a little better smelling and tasting, so I know just keep at it and get the humidity down to the mid to low 60's and it should get mellow. Glad to hear you are able to hit the trails and enjoy some biking, we did a road ride down the coast a few miles, had some lunch and drinks, it was a blast to be out again, but as Poprocks mentioned, we have rain this week, but we need it. Sounds like Eggo is working out just fine, really happy for you, dogs are great companions, my brother just was given a small mutt of some sort, he was dog with no name but now he goes by Buddy.

we got the mrs a record player a few years ago and it was a blast, man

i bet it brings back a lot of memories
if you are into records, check out lous records up in leucadia/ encinitas
they are a lot smaller than they used to be but still have a decent stack of used vinyl for way cheap
how do you like to smoke? with really fresh weed i pretty much just stick with joints until its had a chance to cure a bit
/pipes and bongs dont burn right but i still like to smoke wet ass weed

thats cool that you were able to ride this past weekend
ive never ridden frozen dirt but imagine it would be solid
would a less aggressive tread be a good choice or do you still want the knobbies for the loose spots?
the football games were fun and i cant wait for this weekends games
i dont watch much tv outside of football and its a great excuse to camp out on the couch and get really high
that is super cool of you to bring in the extra ribs to share with your coworkers
we have an area at work where we will put out food but its mostly cookies or sweet things
for whatever reason the girls at work are all crazy for oreos
they come in a like a million different flavors but i just dont have the sweet tooth so i usually pass
now some ribs...man i would totally smash on that
so far the week is flying by and it will be the weekend before we know it
hope you are having a great week brother any plans yet for the weeknd?

Hey Fiddy
Just bubble some worm castings for a day or so. I add a myco product by Orca and some Mammoth P just to be sure I have a good population, actinovate also a good addition for early IPM. A little dextrose in the mix gives them something to eat at first but don't use much, also adding it to the soil a few weeks before use helps a lot.

Good morning rocker.

I'm looking forward to your report. That's great that you got a new turntable. I love the sound of records. I had a buddy that had an all analog system and everything sounds so much more warm and fuzzy than today's digital stuff. That dog looks like a great buddy.

Good morning pop_rocks.
You are so right about albums having a lot more cover art and liner art and notes. The first music I ever got into was all LP's. That and the old real to real tapes. They all sounded great.
It was great to ride on Sunday and I got a ride in yesterday morning before work as well. Frozen dirt was like concrete and you could probably run slicks out there and be fine. But I have a feeling that it is going to be a while before I ride again, we are supposed to get like 6" of snow tonight and then low temps. As soon as the snow packs down and the sun hits it it will get icy and probably be unrideable. Maybe if you had a fat bike with studs you could ride. On a side note my bro went fat biking in vale last week and said its not nearly as much fun as biking on dirt. The snow really slows you down and it's a lot of work.
I'm looking forward to some football this weekend too. I haven't seen much AFC ball this year and it sounds like KC is a fun team to watch so I'll have a look. The saints Rams game should be good too. I hope the action is non stop and we get a treat.
Are you cooking anything up on Sunday?
I don't eat a lot of cookies either but I use to love Oreos when I was a kid. You are right that they come in all kinds of flavors now but the original were all we had back in the day.
You are right the week flew by and the weekend is just about here. I don't have much planned. I think we are going to see my niece on Sunday morning for a little birthday party for her. She turned 8 this week and I can't believe how quick she is growing. Other than that it will be time for relaxing and cooking something good up, not sure what yet.

Great call on the EWC. If I remember from reading about it you put them in an old pair of nylons or some cheese cloth and put that in the bucket of water and bubble. Or maybe that's for compost. I remember you mentioning the mammoth P before as well. I looked at my local grow shop but didn't see it so I'll have to order that one. I will read up on actinovate too. Thanks for sharing and it s great to see you around brother.

Greetings Friends and a Happy Friday,

The sunshine has come out today, the rain has been great but it is nice to see the sun.

Poprocks, been to Lou's many times, it's right in my backyard, and yes not nearly the size they once were, pre 2008 they had 3 building going, 1 for New stuff, 1 for used and the small video building, the hey day for sure. I also recall when Jack Johnson played in the parking lot and it was insanely packed, people were in the tree;s across the street, good times. I will be swinging by there tonight, to get some cleaning fluid and look over the used vinyl, I have picked up a couple lp's over the last year there. I also saw a place called Spin records in Carlsbad when my wife and I rode up to the Coyote bar a few weekends ago, I want to check it out too.

Fiddynut - Nothing like the last ride before the frozen tundra claims the land, glad you got that ride in. Yes, I love the sound of Vinyl too, especially a good copy of something. I picked up an English pressing of Captain Fantastic by Elton John, and the vocal clarity is amazing, I can hear the difference from my original 1975 US copy which is still in good condition. I also bought a 1/2Speed Master copy of Dark Side of the Moon, Still fun to smoke a bowl and put on the headphones and drift away in the darkness. I also picked up some Queen after seeing the movie and some classic Kinks too.

Vinyl will provide my soundtrack tonight when I do my smoke report. This morning, I opened each jar and smelled it to try and see if I could name the strain with out looking, I nailed the Super Lemon Haze, as the lemon aroma is building but mixed up the other two, as they are not real strong yet, but each are getting a unique fragrance going. The Green Crack has a mild Tangie smell and taste, and the Jack Herer is earthy and getting really tasty. So look for the posting later tonight.

i would imagine its like riding in sand where you get no momentum and the ground is actually slowing you down
werent you telling me about putting studds on tires for ice riding before?
i bet it would be the same to put studs on a bike tire, you would just use a lighter screw
hope everyone is doing great, my man and you have a good and relaxing weekend

Well Guys I am in Mexico City and saw the second game with the sound in Spanish, what a game but not the outcome I wanted, oh well. Go Rams.

On another note, our host took my counterpart and myself to an awesome restaurant, Check out these side dishes. The white stuff is ant eggs and you roll ‘em up in tortillas, super tasty, and the green stuff is marinated cactus, also pretty good.

Just wanted to share as I know you all are foodies.

Good morning rocker.
I'm glad I got those last rides in because we got a few inches of snow and more on the way it sounds like. I don't mind the snow but with it has come a change in the wind now bringing sub zero temps from Canada. This brutal cold makes all outside activities much more difficult, even dog walks have to be kept short due to cold paws.
That's great you are building your vinyl collection. I have a great connection with the dark side of the moon album as my parents owned one that I listened to a lot growing up. We had a copy of wish you were here as well which I loved.
How did you get all the way to Mexico City? Isn't that way south? I hear that's one of the biggest city's in the world but don't know much about it. Looks like great food! A lot of the Mexican food I get exposed to here is from the Jalisco region I think, but I hear all the regions have great specialties.

Good morning pop_rocks.
Good call on your Rams brother. I watched that game and they sure had a slow start but got they're shit together and got it done. I can't believe how loud it was in there. Great game. I didn't get to watch the AFC game after all because I don't get ABC. Edit: it's CBS I think and don't get that either.
Did you make your ceviche? Bean tostadas and carne asada sounds great. I ended up making a lasagna because it's a favorite when it gets this cold outside. Turned out pretty good.
Not sure about KC but it's been cold here. Yesterday woke up to about zero degrees and about 10 below zero today. More snow tomorrow for us then more cold with a high of about zero later in the week. Oh well we always get some of this and I hope it's just a week or two.
I think you probably right that fat biking in snow would be like deep sand and it's a lot of work to not go very fast. Studs would help with traction but would also add a lot of weigh to the tires and make it that much harder to peddle. When I set up a moto bike for the ice it takes about 1500-1700 studs to do a rear tire and like 1300 up front. The tires way 20+'pounds each at that point. It's a lot of fun if you have a strong motor. I will look into what they do with fat bike tires but I'd bet they are a lot diffrent then the stuff we use on ice bikes.
Eggo's doing great and loves to romp in the fresh snow. He does get cold paws so we have to take shorter walks than normal.

Update and pics.

Update and pics.

Greetings friends.

It's freezing cold outside today here but it's always tropical and warm in the jungle. I just have a couple pics of my lone gorilla bubble plant in flower. She is really getting chunky and frosty for only being at 4 weeks. She has been developing more of a strong sour smell as well as the lemon lime soda smell. I can't wait to see what she is like in the weeks to come. She seems happy so far and I think this is the healthiest I've kept a plant in a while. It looks like the new soil and amendments are helping but I must wait until the end to be the judge of that. Here she is!

I think you will find more terps from the sulfur in the gypsum but
to get full benefit you will still need to soak the media with biota and let her work a while. Glad you're giving it a try. I have gone back to the strict budrunner mix of promix bx with 25% Happy Frog and Earth Juice boosters. All the changes I made chasing more N and P for different strains, was interesting but not so beneficial.
Did those DBJ freebies pop for you. I know you will love them.:tiphat:

what a fun weekend!
the sunday football featured four great teams and both games went into overtime
the rams game had me jumping around the whole way
the offense had a pretty flat game and no was actually the better team for most of the game
but jared goff was able to hit a few throws and tie the game up in the end
it was the defense that won this one, that and one heck of a kick (50+ yds)
/in another thread the rams kicker was dubbed legatron
we ended up making a ton of cevichi and im glad we did
the mrs went totally ham on the stuff and ate a ton! it was good and i had my fair share but she really enjoyed it
its a reall simple recipe to make and i will def be making it again
i also fried up some cod and french fries plus we got these pop corn shrimp at the store that were insane!
mexico city is one of the largest cities in the world and our man rocker' is way down south of the border...

so whats the story there brother? how did you end up down in mexico city
nopales are really good and they even make tortillas from it, but those ones look super small; did they cut up larger pieces or do they use really small shoots when making it?
looks grinding!
that tortilla looks super fresh too and i would eat that up by itself any day for sure (with extra ant eggs)
ill have to remember that one when i plan my super bowl menu

What's up jungle mates,

Hope everyone is doing well. Things are going well here. My wife took her state test today. So , she passed, so mo money. She is making more than me now, at least hourly. I work more hours. . We went out to Red Robin to celebrate, yum. Of course the wife's Patriots won. I missed the early game, cleaning the yard. My oldest is having his 9th birthday party Sunday.

So, I am freaking torn. The wife's company is opening an office in salt lake city. I find out what they are offering for me to move to salt lake city at my job on Thursday. It seems unlikely we would find another situation where both of us will have jobs waiting for us when we move. I have a lot of reservations. On Friday when I got paid, my wage went down 78 cents. I was supposed to get a 2% raise. So, I spent an hour in the office with the hottie office lady. We got it situated, but it was still irritating. I am wary of moving so far away, with a company that is suspect.

The elephant in the room, is my love of growing cannabis it's a liability. Like 5 years for a first cultivation charge. The y passed a joke of a medical marijuana bill in November. Then the state legislature and the mormon church got together and made it even worse. No home growing. No smokable marijuana. Approvals by a state board. A very small number of dispensaries. Stupidity at it's finest.

Good afternoon Rodehazrd.
Yes it's so far so good with the mix but I'll for sure be tweaking things and trying to build micro heard in the future. You are right I've been talking about trying this for a long while now and just had to get motivated to make it happen. Next I will have to start experimenting with folar feeding.
So I got 6 of 9 seedlings above ground of the LBL crosses. I soaked the 3 that didn't germ another time but I have a feeling that they aren't coming up. These beans are from an order I made more than 2 years ago so they might be a bit older than that and that might be why I get not the best germ rate with them. Hopefully 6 plants will give me enough lady's for the next flower run but we shall see.

I'm glad you had a great weekend brother! I agree the NFC game I saw was a great game. It did seem like the Rams defense figured it out after the first couple saints possesions. Legatron is a great nickname. What a great game and I'm looking forward to the super bowl for sure.
I'm glad your ceviche turned out great and was a hit with the Mrs. And homemade fish and chips too what a treat.
Am I the only one here who hasent heard of eating ant eggs?

Good afternoon Packerfan.
Congrats to your wife for passing the test and getting the raise! And to you on your raise as well.
You are right that having jobs waiting for both of you in a new city is a rare opportunity. But you are right to be apprehensive about that move. You have mentioned before that the company you work for seems to be poorly managed and that is come thing to consider. The laws in Utah are tough too and that is a big consideration. The laws here suck but I doubt they are as tough as out there. I use to worry about what would happen to me if I got busted but I just had to put it out of my mind. My advise to to follow you gut and don't second guess.

happening guys!

that is a tough choice in your lap p'fan
like whats best for the family as far as money is one thing, but you also have to consider a bunch of other things as well
like you said, how would you grow/ get smoke?
not only that but it dosent seem like the most tolerant state as far as people who dont conform to their idea of normal; how about if your neighbors knew you smoked weed?
have you guys been out there yet? maybe go and check out the scene before you make any commitments
did the pay raise bump you into the next tax bracket? that dosent make sense and im glad you got it sorted, brother
hope the kids party was fun and you were able to enjoy your weekend

im looking forward to the super bowl too
i will be sad knowing its the last game of the season but its been a great year for football and im excited about the match up
6/9 is decent gremination, esp for older seeds; i hope you find something good and am interested in the lbl cross
so how is the cold, man?
we are feeling a touch of the chill here too but hey, its winter time
so what are you doing for the big game in a couple weeks, fiddy?
im thinking i might grill but thats been done before
maybe we can get rocker' to bring us some ant eggs back
