Greetings friends.

Looks like winter is just about to take hold here. There is accumulating snow in the forcast for later in the week and falling temps. I wish I had a couple more weeks of nice fall mtn bike riding but it looks like it's not to be, trails have been closed since Saturday nights rain and might not open before the snow flys. I'm pretty sure they will be closed untill the ground freezes once we start getting snow.

@Rodehazrd. I think I'm going to go pretty close to what budrunner suggests and see what happens. Maybe a little more gypsum and subbing my crushed oyster shell for the lime. Good thinking on experimenting with more and less in diffrent pots in the same grow. Once I get a clone I like I can monocrop and really see how the changes effect things. I'm a big baby about trying new things so I'm sure I'll start slow and work my way up with the amendments.
The cold is comming brother...stay warm.

@pop_rocks. I think I just need to adjust to the dark/light schedule and it will be fine. If the trails open up I'll get another ride or two in and then I'm sure there will be a break. I've got the hernia surgery comming up in a few weeks so I'll be on light duty for a while, untill after the new year anyway.
Waves on this side of the lake are only big when we have an east wind which is unusual for this aria. We normally have west wind and a flat lake but in the fall and winter we get cold fronts that make for NE and E winds, we do get the E wind very occasionally during the summer, but it's really rare. So we have to go out during the cold season if we want to surf regularly. I'll put up some YouTube vids on lake surfing when I get time to post links.
I've done a little stem rubbing on the GF #6 but not a lot of scent yet. I think I'm going to have to wait untill after harvest and cure to get a good feel for how she tastes. I should know in about 3 weeks.

wow, fiddy thanks for the link, bruh
while the conditions arent what i would call ideal the stoke was real for sure!
are you serious that there can be chunks of ice in the lineup like that?
freaking unreal man, you guys are hard core to surf those conditions
i forgot that you have been putting off your surgery
hope all things go well and you arent laid up for too long, when are you going in
the seedlings are all looking nice and i will be putting them into some dirt here, probably this weekend
what are your plans for the rest of the week brother? hopefully you can get out and have a nice ride, do you have any other places you can ride when the trails arent open?
we have a few lakes here locally that have paved trails that we will ride from time to time
i might be heading up north to visit a grower friend this weekend, hes the guys that gave me the tahoeOG cuts
hope your week is wrapping up nicely and you are looking at a fun weekend ahead

Greetings friends.

I haven't mentioned this but I do want to say that Tuesday's vote was interisting here in wisco. There were 16 pro medical and recreational cannabis referendums on the ballot and all passed with at least 70% support. The people have spoken and clearly are in favor of ending this prohibition. The only problem is that we have all non binding referendums and the politicians still need to make new laws for anything to change. It will be interisting to see if the overwhelming support of the voters prompts change in the legislature.

@pop_rocks. Haha no icebergs on southern Lake Michigan but the cold water, icy shores, and frozen beards are in play here. The conditions are tough so someone has to be very motivated to surf much here. It weeds out the posers right quick. I think that in general you have to be pretty tough to live in the far north and function normally. There are some that hide indoors all winter but what fun is that? A lot of us have outside jobs and we just deal with cold.
I'm glad your seedlings are looking good. My cuts are still taking their time to root so im getting farther behind for my next run every day. I've only got roots on 2 out of about 12 cuts and I need 4 plants for next run.
The trails are still closed and we are supposed to get a couple inches of snow overnight which will make things even sloppier so not looking good for riding any time soon. I think I'm going to have to just ride the stationary bike at the gym for now. I guess I could ride the flat bike trails around. We have a state wide network of bike trails that use to be railroad tracks, they took the tracks off and they are now bike trails. But they are straight and flat and probably not any more fun than the stationary bike at the gym.
That's cool that you might get up to visit your buddies grow this weekend. Maybe he has some new strains to expose you to. I hope your week is ending strong too brother!

@Rodehazrd. It's more fun than it looks I'm sure LOL.

yeah, those conditions are not for the weak
the cold can take it out of you really fast too so you have to be in pretty good shape to surf freezing water like that
i hear you brother about weeding out the weak and i think everyone needs to earn their spot in the line up
i grew up in the heyday of the hardcore locals scene but it made you learn respect really fast
especially when you like to travel, you show good manners and you will usually be fine
yeah he mentioned a few new cuts and im hoping to adopt a few, one of them is a tangie cut that he raves about and i cant wait to check out the bud
looks like i will ahve a full tent of the c99X's and i might have to run two tents this season
we will see but im excited about what this winter might bring
so i pulled my hammy last night on the way back from soup plantation
me and the mrs got into a little footrace and i kind of overdid it and am in a world of hurt
as long as i keep moving its not that bad, but as soon as i sit for a few minutes it will tighten back up
i am treating it right now and hope to be back in top form in a few days here
that is great that the voters have spoken, but now its time for the politicians to do their part
one of these days we will look back on the whole prohibition of weed like we do the prohibition of alcohol ... one day
:)

keep kicking ass fiddy and i hope you have a great friday friend!

Good afternoon pop_rocks.

Speaking of inhospitable conditions, I woke up this morning and looked out to find the yard covered in a couple inches of snow. I know the weather people had been calling for this but it was a shock to see anyway. It's only the second week in November and way too early for winter. I hope this isn't a sign of a longer, colder and snowier winter than normal.
That is great news about the new genetics at your buddies and the tangie cut. I've heard great things about the tangie. Let us know how she smokes if you get to sample her this weekend. That and a bunch of c99 crosses should keep you busy and out of trouble for a while. Keep us posted man.
O man a pulled hammy dosent sound like any fun brother. Running without stretching or warming up can do that. I have never had that so I don't know how painful it is but I bet it's not good. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Can you still get around ok?
Yes it's time for the politicians to act but action has been hard to come by from them in the past. We still don't even have medical here and I don't think that our state legislature has ever even voted on one. I hope things are changing but if the past is a predictor of the future it will be a long hard battle. I hope your right that we will be able to look back on this someday and the prohibition will be in the past.
You keep kicking ass too brother...Fiddy.

Hi Fiddy - Awesome video, definitly not for the faint of heart. I got really busy at work, which is always welcome and then my wife and I did a lot of volunteer work to GOTV, we flipped our district but not the one next to us which I work in, but some progress was made. I didn't know how much to mention politics before but, glad to see you all are engaged, it matters. I then took a quick vacay with my wife for much needed R&R.

Hope you surgery goes well, heal up quickly and hope you are able to be active again soon. Too bad weather is setting on your fall riding, but glad you got some in before the snow. I still haven't ridden since you got me out on a trail, but I have been going to spin classes at our local gym as often as possible, I can tell it makes me a stronger rider, and runner.
Anyway just wanted to say Hi, now that I am back to a somewhat regular schedule.

right on rocker', it is great that you and the mrs volunteered to hlp people register to vote
we dont really talk a lot of politics here but as long as everyone can be cool i dont see why not
i know several of our friends here are active on other threads about politics and we dont all share the same views
but this dosent change how i think of them as people and regardless of their views i still count them among my friends
stay hydrated brother, its been super dry
how are the plants coming along?

Hey Pop rocks
Sorry to hear about the hammy Hope you heal soon. I had one last summer pulling up a sill plate to add an outside door. I was down for 4 weeks. Hope yours isn't that bad. It was a very slow heal. Driving was ;the worst having to sit on the injury. you should heal faster than I did as I'm a geezer, :smoker::smoker::smoker:

Greetings friends.

I hope all had a good weekend and your weeks are off to a great start.

@rocker. I'm glad you liked the vid. It great to see people who are unfazed by inhospitable conditions.
We have mostly avoided politics in the jungle but as long as we can respect each others opinions and the right to those opinions I've got no issues with it. I'm about as unpolitical as you will find. I side with the left about 25% of the time, the right about 25% of the time and myself the other 50% of the time.
I'm glad you got some nice vaca time and are hitting the gym. I need to make my final push before I'm laid up for a few weeks.

@pop_rocks. Yes for sure pop we have much respect for each other here and probably even talking politics couldn't change that. I've bee busy with trimming for the last few days, and finally got 4 cuts to root after almost 3 weeks so I got them potted this morning. Going to pop some seeds this week too. I'm glad you arnt being held back too much by the hammy.

@Rodehazrd. Give yourself some credit brother, I bet your tougher than any of us here!

happeneing guys!
what a fun weekend
we have been having brutal santa ana winds here in socal, bringing very strong wind with very low humidity
my fingers are all cracked at the edges even tho im drinking almost three liters of water a day, plus im getting shocked by everything i touch.
the visit to my friends house was insane and im hoping to get a post up here about my adventure
i dident come home with any cuts, the tangie was long gone by the time i showed up, but he had several other insane varieties on hand; even one strain i have never heard of( slimer )
he let me grab some shots of his garden and im hoping to get some pics up here soon and i will say this guy is definitely first class
/he even invited me and the mrs back another time to spend the night, i bet his parties are off the hook

thanks for the advice rode and im just taking things on step at a time, letting the leg rest up as much as i can
its not as bad as i thought but im not rushing things and will keep taking it slow for at least the rest of this week
the cheerio treats are helping, but i had a dr visit this afternoon so i thought it would be a good idea to not medicate at all today
but im back home now and can let er' rip

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
The Santa Ana winds are the warm winds right? Man that is a lot of water you are drinking, I drink about that much in mid summer when I'm sweating it out all day at work. We are having the opposite of warm winds since it snowed a few days ago. When we got a couple inches of early snow I never thought it would stick around this time of the year but it's been really unseasonably cold ever since. We usually have temps in the high 40's or so this time of year but it hasn't been above freezing in days. The inland lakes are freezing over and the ground has a couple inches of frost in it. Of the ground freezes solid the mtn bike trails will reopen so that is a good thing.
It sounds like you had a great weekend brother. I'm really looking forward to hearing more about some of these strains. I haven't heard of slimer either but it sounds interesting. I'd love to see some pics of the genetics and his grow if you feel comfortable posting them. Bud porn and grow room porn are awesome! I would defenatly check out one of his party's and do a sleep over sometime.

yes, the santa anas are the hot dry winds that blow from the east this time of year
i usually drink at least 2l a day, but with the low humidity i am trying to stay as hydrated as i can
hopefully the mountain bike trails open up soon for you, i mean the ground will eventually freeze, right?
i sent him a text earlier today and am hoping to hear back from him soon
we kind of talked about hanging out again before the holidays
i wll also mention posting the pics, but he was super cool about it when i pulled out the phone (i even asked if it was cool)
hopefully your hiiday plans are coming together and you have an awesome thanksgiving planned
this is my favorite time of year and i cant wait
just think, this time next week we are going to be prepping turkey and getting ready for a nice long weekend!

i hope everyone is having a great year, it seems like a few of our friends arent posting as much
hopefully they will check in and say hello
but we have made some new friends this year and i cant wait for what 2019 has in store
big ups to our man, p'fan, fish, and agentP
oh,and you too floridian, i hope you have a great thanksgiving too brother!

Good afternoon pop_rocks.
I remember the Santa Ana winds way up in the Bay Area, in fact the only hot days we had near the cost were when those winds were a blowing. Speaking of low humidity mine just took a nose dive in the last week or so. I've got to run the dehuy 24/7 for half the year just to keep it at 55% and now I'm in the mid 30's% and it gets a rest for a few months. In fact, the first couple of plants I harvested last week got a little over dry because of the humidity they dried quicker than normal. For the second two plants I left more leaf on them to help slow down the dry, more work on the second trim but effective.
The trails will open as soon as the ground is either frozen or dry. If it stays unseasonably cold the ground will freeze but it would be very strange for it to stay 20-30 degrees below normal for that long. As soon as it gets warmer again the ground thaws and gets soft again and the trails close. In the mean time the cold makes the ground very slow to dry.
That is cool of you to check with your buddy and make sure he is cool with you posting about the grow. It sounds like he is a chill dude and won't have problems with you putting up few pics but it's very respectful to ask first. Keep us posted brother.
Looks like I'm doing thanksgiving with my aunt. She lives pretty close and has been doing thanksgiving most years for a lot of years. My uncle always makes a great turkey on his Webber grill. Usually I show up early and make the mashed potatoes. I like lots of butter and a good dose of heavy cream in my mashed. Are you staying home for the Holliday? What is your favorite way to prepare the bird?

What's up jungle mates,

I am still lurking around, Pop Rocks. I can't believe next week is Thanksgiving is a week away. This year has flown by. I am ready to put 2018 in the books. It's been a freaking crazy year.

I don't know if you guys heard about Dan's Buds. He was involved in the gorilla bubble bx6 that Tony Green was selling. Well unfortunately ha passed away last week, Milo xxx also passed away. GLG is doing some fundraising for Dan's family. It's a damn shame fellow ICMAGGERS passing away. Fuck Cancer.

So, me and the wife are considering making a move to Salt Lake city, to follow my job. I am waiting to hear what kind of offer they make me. I am hearing 2 year contract, which is concerning. I would hate to move to potentially lose the job after 2 years. I have a sneaking suspicion that they won't give me the money I want to move. Work has been crazy lately. I have been working 11 or 12 hours a day, and 5 hours on Saturday. I am ready for a 4 day weekend.

I should be harvesting in the next week or so. I got a gsc leaner out of the granola funk. It's looking gorgeous. I am very happy with this round.

whats happening p'fan!
good to see your post,brother
yeah this year has totally flown by and its been quite a ride
are you guys doing thanksgiving at home or going someplace for turkey day?
sounds like you have been working hard and deserve a break
keep us posted on the job situation
two years isnt that long, especially when you are uprooting the family and moving to another state
the boys are still young so hopefuly it wont disrupt them too much, but moving is always a hassle
have you ever been to utah?
yeah man, i saw the thread about dans buds, the guys is legend around these parts
it is nice that the icmag community is remembering him in such a positive way and i hope his family is doing all right

this year we are hosting thanksgiving and my buddy isnt going to be deep frying any birds this thanksgiving
i usually just make my turkey in the oven; i give her a good rub and then tent it under foil for most of the day
im pretty by the book when it comes to the big meal but i like to get creative with the leftovers
one of my favorites is to take some left over turkey meat (cut into bite size), stuffing and some mashed potatoes and form balls, roll them in bread crumbs and bake
you can use up a lot of your left overs and they go really fast
what are some of your favorite recipes fiddy?
how do you deal with left overs?

and what about teh rest of you goons? any plans for thanksgiving
how do you like to cook the turkey, or do you even turkey bro?
/one of the best thanksgivings i ever has was mexican food
one more day to go fellas and its the weekend
we got this!
