Just this guy, ya know?
@poprocks The left, more purple was Jumpin Black Dash and the right, denser was I think Krippleberry, both Dr Krippling autoflower strains.

I thought I would cross post this from my cloning thread, if that is okay. :tiphat:
First I got the clone tent. The Animal clone mother in the back with some GG#4 clones.
picture.php

Next up the veg tent. Got The Animal on the left, 2 Liberty Haze, a GG#4 I been taking clones off of, and 3 clones of the Indica Bagseed that are rootbound but I don't have anymore room to put them. One of those will be turned into a clone mother for the Indica Bagseed, soon as I can create more space
biggrin.gif
And yes I did tape a pot on top of another pot full of soil. Roots were popping out the bottom and I don't have room for a wider pot so I figured I could stack them and make a taller pot.

picture.php

That just leaves the flower tent. That Bagseed Indica on the left vegged just under 2 months while I was lsting it into like a cup shape to open up that inside, hoping to increase yield and get a cool lookin plant. Win/win. Then a little liberty haze I threw into the flower tent just to sample it, then in the back right is the GG#4 I'm flowering out which I lst a little bit, in front of that right is The Animal. I flipped to flower on the 13th hoping to harvest ~2nd week of November. The bagseed I hit today with blood meal because it started to get some yellowing. I figure the soil mix I'm using is fine for a 1 month veg + flower, but it's low on nitrogen after 2 months.

Greetings friends.

I'm really digging this fall weather for mtn bike riding. I got up early and took a long ride before work today. With temps in the 50's I can ride hard without getting too hot and thirsty. I hope we have a nice long fall season this year!

@pop_rocks. It sounds like you had an awesome weekend brother! I know you've mentioned how much fun your nephew is to hang out with. Does he puff with you guys? It sounds like most of the hard work is done at your buddies outdoor grow and it's about time to start reaping the rewards. Looking forward to pics and smoke reports.
You are so right about how easy it is to get busy and forget that the simple things in life mater most. Glad to hear you got out on the bike.
Sometimes a day to chill is just what the doctor ordered so to speak.
You are right that the old school country was some great stuff. If you like Hank sr you should check out some of Hank 3's stuff. He is very outlaw and much more intense than any country I've heard before. He does country but also punk rock, hardcore and this really crazy stuff where he uses auctioneer vocals over heavy metal guitar.
Season changes are tough but I'm going to try and get the most out of fall this year. It's winter that gets me down mostly with the super short days and how long it drags out around here.
I'm glad you are having a great week!

@Rodehazrd. Looking good man. You seem to have that girl back on track with a quickness!

@AP. I like your set up. I do things similarly to you with clone, veg and flower tents. It's nice to keep the flower tent packed at all times by using veg tents to keep plants ready when the currant flower run is over. Only on my first grow did I do everything in one tent and it's been separate veg and flower areas ever since.
You have some nice strains there! I've never had to stack pots when my roots outgrow what ther in but I've heard it's a good way to go. I'd think it would make transplanting a but tough but you could take cuts and pot them up instead. Your girls look good!
Are you still using happy frog? My happy frog seems to be just as much if not more hydrophobic as ever, much more than a year or more ago. I'm having to water more than ever. I might have to look at other options if the soil continues to be like this.

no, he is in the marines so they frown on smoking weed
but he used to toke up, turns out his thing was dabs when he was younger
i brought him to my friends house and when we walked into the trim room the first thing he said was how it smelled so dank
thats awesome that you were able to get a ride in
its been cool and misty here, great weather for riding the bike
the moisture softens the dirt just a touch so you get better traction, we call it hero dirt because your tires stick just that extra bit
plus its been foggy in the early morning so its kind of a different scene
not a fan of hank williams 3, ive heard his music and kind of place him into the new coutry catagory
/heard a new country song the other day that had scratching and "remix" style music music over rap style country hits
i love rap music but just not mixed in with my country
tonight is a good football game on tv
a surging rams team is playing the minnisota vikings; vikings need a win here but the rams are red hot
yeah man, i have a few of the sample buds laid out in front of me right now, f'nut
you bet i will be posting up some pics of the bud and a run down on how she smokes
so the other day the girl comes home complaining about her new lab partner in her science class
she is in the smart classes but this new guy was in her words a "predator" and made her feel uncomfortable in class
i told her to mention all this to her instructor and maybe ask for another partner
well the teacher kind of blows it off and dosent change the seating arrangement
im not too happy about this and was thinking about going in to the school but then the girl comes home to tell me that the boy is now in big trouble; turns out he was slapping pther girls on the ass and got reported to the school
they ended up calling the police on the kid and now he is in a ton of shit
while im glad that the problem is solved in the girls class ( she got a new partner) i am also concerned for the young man
i feel like the school failed all of them, the young boy, the girl who was hit on the butt, my kid... all of them
sorry to rant brother but its been on my mind and i wish there was a better solution, but now its too late
heck, even my nephews solution, "...lets kick his ass", would have been better for the young boy
he would have learned to not touch people when they say to stop but he would not be put through the legal meat grinder at such an early age
i hope he gets some help

happening AP'
very nice set up
ive cut the bottom out of containers before and stacked them
it looks like you have a bunch of different pots in your garden, do you notice a difference in growth?
ive thought about using the fabric containers and the one with the knobby sides (smart pots or somehting like that?)
which do you like the best
never heard of the breader you mentioned but his gear looks like straight fire
do you grow a lot of autoflowers? ive grown a couple out and i know fiddy has tried them out too
do you prefer them to growing regular plants?
nice plants brother and i hope you keep us posted on the results

hope everyone is having a great week and ready to slide into another fun weekend

Greetings friends.

Happy Friday! I'm stoked I just found out that my hippie neighbors got me a ticket to go to Dark Star Orchestra with them tonight. DSO has been covering the music of the dead since the 90's and they are very talented. They soentimes even do entire shows that have the same set lists that the GD played back in the day. They come to Milwaukee every year at this time and have a large following. I should be able to get my piece and love fix and I hope to meet some cool people and maybe even exchange some buds with some peeps.

@pop_rocks. Yes the marines don't like that shit, but things are changing and maybe someday they will be cool with it for off duty. Thats cool that he's educated in weed and appreciated the harvest. Is he making a career of the marines or just getting some training and then off to school or work?
I know exactly what you mean about a little moisture making the dirt more "tacky" and how nice you stick to it. It's been nice and sticky the last couple rides I've had and I'm going faster than ever. The cooler temps help too, not with traction but makes it easer to pump harder longer. I'm glad you are getting some riding in!
That is an unfortunate situation with the girl and her new lab partner. No one should have to feel uncomfortable in school or anywhere else for that matter. It's hard enough to learn under ideal conditions but when your worried about your safety it must be impossible. It's hard to think of what that teacher was thinking. You are right that in the end the school failed everyone in that situation. The only good that could come of it dips that the school should have learned something and will do things differently next time if there is one. I think you are right that an ass whooping would have probably been more effective.

Jungle update and pics.

Not a lot of time but I wanted to show and tell what's going on in the jungle this week. In the flower tent I've got 4 granola funks going on day 21 of 12/12. Here is a group shot and a close up of one of them.

The veg tent has cuttings from the GF #1 that is in flower. It's the only one I didn't have extra clones of so I took a couple cuts and need at least one to root to have a copy. I haven't tried to root flowering cuts before so not sure what to expect. If this dosent work I'll have to try a reveg. I have the other 4 GF's in there and 3 gorilla bubble BX1F1's going on the right. It looks like I've got at least 2 lady GB's out of the 3. They will be my next victims for my next flower run.

And here is a shot of the granola funks that I harvested 3-4 weeks ago. They are still developing flavor and scent but one has a nice blueberry lemonade scent. The buds are nice and dense. They arnt as frosty as the last couple strains but they are potent.

I hope everyone is well and your plants are happy...Fiddy.

glad to see you around, fish
we have had fall temps here in socal for the past month or so
im suprised how cool its gottne because the ocean water is still kind of warm
enjoy the warm weather while it lasts

those are some nice looking nugs fiddy
about how many weeks do you let those granola funk plants go in flowering?
so whats the plan with the flowering cut? ive heard of people go straight to flower once they have a rooted cutting to keep their canopy low but ive never tried it myself
it would be interesting to see what kind of yeild you could get from a small plant like that
his plan is to stay in four more years
i guess if he got out as soon as he could he could still be called back up, but if he does 8y he can get out for good
that sounds like a fun show and i hope you enjoy the whole scene
we can all use some peace and love every now and then and this sounds like just the place to get it
how do you like to smoke at these concerts? joints are the best in my book because they are easy to carry a bunch of them, plus you can just pass them along and share with those around you
the mrs and kids are going to be gone for the weeeknd so its just me until sunday night
im going to fry up some chicken for dinner tonight or maybe grill up a steak and spend as much time as i can enjoying myself
i also have a bunch of trimming to do and i would like to make some hash at some point

hope everyone is starting their weekend off on the right foot and enjoying the fall

Hey pops. At 1130 it’s already 89 with high of 93. I prefer warm weather, but the only signs of fall here are Starbucks pumpkin spice latte and the stores selling Halloween shit lol.

Greetings friends.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and your weeks are off to a great start!

I had an epic weekend here in wisco. Friday nights DSO concert was great! They really can jam those guys. Th sets were great and the last encore was a really hot version of Jefferson airplane's white rabbit, a song I haven't heard in forever. The "fake Donna" that DSO has would have made Grace proud. Saturday was all about disc golf after work and watching my Milwaukee Brewers put themselves in position to fight for the central devision crown and the best record in the national league. Sunday my bro and I got up early and made the 200 mile trip north to the cabin to pull out the pier and boats. We made really good time up and back and were home by the 3rd inning of Sunday's brewer game. No time for packers on Sunday but we were stoked to see out Brewers win their 7th game in a row and since the Cubs won as well they were tied after all 162 games. That means a one game playoff between the brew crew and the Cubs, winner take all for the devision.
On Monday morning I didn't something that I've never done before, I went surfing. Surfing you say? But you live 1000 miles from the nearest ocean? Yes that's right. We surf the grate lakes, in my case it's Lake Michigan. When we get enough east winds the waves get really big on my side of the lake. In fact it was probably too big of a day for a first timer like me. I thought that I was in pretty good shape but after paddling out into 8-10 foot breakers I felt pretty humble. I've always been a strong swimmer but this was some intense shit. I got rolled over by a few sets of waves and really had to use max effort to keep my head above water. It was so much fun and the best workout ever. I will be doing more surfing as the weather allows.
And the best part of the weekend was the game 163 between the Brewers and Cubs on Monday afternoon. It was a tight game but in the end it was the brew crew winning 3-1 and taking the central devision title and home feild advantage through the post season. This is something I've been waiting to see for a long time. I spoke a little about my expectations for this team back in April when the season started. The signings and trades worked out really nicley for the crew. The baseball season is so long and there are so many ups and downs that it didn't seem like the moves were enough at times but they played so well down the streach and are the hottest team going into the playoffs. I'm really happy for the team and fans. The winner of the wild card playoff game tonight will came to Miller park on Thursday for the start of the NL divisional series. I can't wait!

@pop_rocks. What's happening brother? I bet you are suprised to hear about my surfing adventure. I forget if you said that you do any surfing or not but what fun and great exercise it is. I'm so stoked about my Brewers that I can barley contain myself.
The granola funks went just about 60 days. I could have given a couple of them a little more time but I had to harvest before my up north trip a few weeks ago. They are really starting to develop some nice flavor in the jars. I shared some with some deadheads on Friday and everyone loved them.
The flowering clones are cuts of the GF#1 that I need for a mom so I can regrow her if she turned out better than the other plants. I had a back up cut of her but something happened and it died off. I need one of these to root to avoid having to try a reveg or loosing her. I've not tried to clone something this far into flower before but I hope it works.
You are right that joints are a great option for the concert. I pre rolled about 10 joints for the night. We puffed outside the venue and out in the outdoor smoking section and I gave a few joints away. Inside there were a few people smoking but mostly people with vape pens doing dabs. The low profile of those dab pens makes them perfict for indoor shows.
Did you get your trimming done? Any hash made? I will have to make a batch of bubble hash after another run or two. I hope your weekend kicked ass!

@badfishy Thank you for the kind words bro! Always good to do something appreciated. :huggg:
@fiddynut Thanks bro, I'm new to all this only my second year so learning as I'm going still. I love the tent pictures! That flower tent is jam packed! Have that same cloner, I'm a fan Beautiful buds too. I am not using the happy frog anymore, I switched to the soil my local grow shop makes. The HF I got was very hydrophobic, peat is that way once it dries out. I'm assuming they are just spending too much time in the supply chain. I'm very happy with my local soil it is also peat based but doesn't dry out nearly as fast, it's amended with a lot of stuff, it's about 17 or 18$ for 10 gallons, I normally fill up 2-5 homer buckets from home depot and they last a few months depending on how many cuts I'm taking. At the end of this season I will be submitting my outdoor plots soil for a test and I already asked the grow shop, they said it was okay to submit this soil mix as well. So while I might not be able to get an itemized list of what's in it, I can get a chemical breakdown, which should be possible to recreate. Theoretically. That's honestly outside my wheelhouse
@poprocks Thanks also bro! I just got roots out of that stacked pot today, and it's insane how much has changed in 6 days since that last picture.
compared to
I don't have huge experience, at this point maybe 50/50 autoflower/photoperiod. I started with auto cause I wanted to make it idiot proof to flower them, but the first batch were "semi-auto" so I had to lower the light levels anyway. They vegged more than they were supposed to though and got huge. I started with the "air pots" the hard plastic nubby ones. I like them for coco, it made it impossible to fuck up watering. For soil I prefer the fabric ones, watering slightly past run off so it pools in the saucer and then can be sucked back up in 5-10 minutes. If any is left pooled in there when I'm ready to leave the room I just wetvac it out. I've found that combined with a good wet/dry cycle is getting me a bunch of roots popping out the fabric. This winter my breeding experiment begins and I will be acquiring autoflower genetics from aridbud here on icmag to hopefully cross with something magical.

So excited on brewers I can barley contain myself... I see what you did lad... well played. AP, I try to always give due credit where credit is due. I have been using an led for a little while now. I’ll take a look at the make in a bit. It has both veg and flower setting on it which I do like a lot. Took a job in town again so will be closer to the family and be able to take care of plants better. Atm I have a buddy’s collection at my house as he ran into some issues. Just remember hell hath no fury as a butthurt ex that cannot move on! CannaVenture just had a new drop. I would suggest everybody take a look at their site. If you sign up for news letters you get a 50% discount on first order... looking at a few packs he has to offer. AWESOME customer service too. Anyhow have fun be safe. Oh n Pops, I popped a few of them that I sent and will let you know what I find

that sounds like a fun show f'nut!
im playing the jefferson airplane version of ask allice right now
that is great that your bud received thumbs up at the show; its one thing to impress most folk, but when a bunch of hippies give a nod of approval its saying something special
go brewers! i havent been checking up on the baseball because the nfl season is off to a wild start
the big names are starting off sluggish and a bunch of hot new teams are stepping up
plus i made a new friend at work and he is a huge football fan
we are already 1/4 of the way into the season and im loving every minute of it
hahah, ive hear about these lake waves fiddy
i dont get in the water as much as i used to but i was once a full blown waterman
surfing, swimming, catching fish, and free diving bruh you name it; my life revolved around salt water and surf
i still head out and catch a few waves on the boogie board every now and then
the other night a guy was attacked here in san diego by a shark
its funny because my friend came up with a couple lobsters the other night
he was telling me how he rolled up to a place we call table tops at about 9p and couldent believe how empty the place was
lobster season started last weekend and it should hvae been packed, but everyone was keeping out of the water
yeah man, i just ran a bunch of stuff through the bags and so far the hash is super melty
i need to get on it and gt some pics before i smoke it all up

keep us posted fish'
i am going to run some of the c99 crosses this next run
i also have some other stuff that is supposed to be high in cbd, but also high thc
ive never grown out a high cbd strain and am interested in what its all about
sounds like a good gig for you and it will be nice to be able to stick closer to home
i hope everything is easy kine bruddah and you all have a great fall season

aridbud is a cool cat and hes well known around he is well known around these parts, agentP
keep up updated on how things go
i think i might order some of the fabric sided pots and see how they work for me
thanks for sharing your experience my man!

Hello Tribe
@poprocks I love the Fabric pots I use. I put two headband clones in 7 gallon fabric and plastic pots. The fabric pot outperformed by an easy 30%. I picked up a pile of 7 gal plastic for free and have been using them but I have my fabric washed and ready for some Bangi clones currently in veg.

@packerfan My veg plants mostly jumped when I added the cheap $69 walmart 1K zimtown light. I ordered another to add in the flower room along with the 1k HPS. I will put some kind of clone under each to test for the difference. The first one had a mars pro sticker on it and no other id. but I coulden't find anything looking like it on their website. I see a lot of things under the led not visible under the cfl's. I can see veins in one oaxacan pheno and the gold plants all have burnt tips not noticed before.

@Fiddy and@AP Sorry to hear the HF is going south since I'm adding another light my fresh mix is all used up and I thought I might just go with a couple of bags of that. I'm tossing all my used mix in the outdoor 65 gal shortys for next season instead of the normal reamend and reuse. I hope to have three filled and ready for next spring.

Although I got way more from the tubs outdoor they're a lot of hassle and the plants in the shorty all three turned out female so they were crowded and didn't all get equal light. The one bangi in the tub gave 315 grams of dry ish buds compared with 120 from the biggest in the bed.
Any suggestions on a different bag soil guys?

Hi Everyone,

As I surf around this site, I couldn't miss this thread, goes way back and WOW some great pics too, Hats off to Fiddy and all the contributors of this thread, so much good stuff to sort through.

AP- Doing my first grow with LED's myself, love the lower heat and E bill, I have used them on corals and the best tank I ever had was powered with LED's, so I am excited to see how my run goes.

Badfish- This will be fun, I am rooting for the Rockies, I lived in Boulder for 10 years and have to stick with the NL west teams, (someday my Padres will rise again), plus many of my family and friends are rooting Rockies.

Pop-rocks- I am in SD too, coastal North County, I was on my SUP at Cardiff Reef, crusing between Swami's and The Chart house, the day that kid was attacked by the shark at Beacon's. Pretty scary stuff, I have been in the water a ton this year, not just on it with the water being so warm this summer.

Rodehazrd-I am using cloth pots for the first time, was a DWC user before this run. I have them sitting in plastic trays, so the water fills the try rather than run onto the floor, will this make me susceptible to root rot or other troubles? I can post a picture on my 6 girls thread if needed.

Happy Wednesday friends.

@AP. I have about 2 years experience under my belt as well but I think we are all learning. I've got a lot to learn yet. I doubt that in 10 years I'll be saying anything other than I've stil got a lot to learn still.
I'm having a hard time finding anything other than the "miracle grow" type soils and fox farms around here. I think that the grow store carries something else so maybe I can check that out. I have a set of fabric pots that I bought a few months back but haven't given them a try yet. Maybe soon I will. Good luck with your breeding project. AB is a good guy and should be very helpful.

@Badfishy. Haha that was a funny. I just can't keep my excitement 'bottled' up if you know what I'm saying LOL!

@pop_rocks. For sure I love the water as well. It has a calming effect on me and some of my happiest memories are on or in the water. We are going surfing again tomorrow, another big wave day is predicted. What sucks about surfing here is that we only get the right wind to make waves in fall and winter. The water gets really cold here but nothing like the air temp in winter. If you look at pics of Great Lakes surfing you'll find a bunch of them with people with ice hanging from their sites and beards. I actually hope for a calmer day tomorrow so that I can have a chance at standing up on the board. A boogie board with flippers sounds like a great time.
I had forgotten how good Jefferson airplane was untill Friday night. They were right there with the dead and others in the acid scene of the 60's in San Francisco. In fact they use to call Grace " the acid queen ".
I heard about the shark attack last week and I hope the kids ok. That is some freaky shit and I'm glad we don't have sharks in the Great Lakes. Have you ever dived for lobsters? I'd think they would be quick and hard to catch under water.
I'm glad you are enjoying the football this year. The packers might be turning things around but they will have to play a couple more good games before I get emotionally invested in them again.

@Rodehazrd. Yep I think I'm going to try to get away from happy frog. It's too bad because it's easy for me to find at the garden store. I think the grow shop has something called 'roots' or something.

@rocker. Welcome brother. Thank you for your kind words and you are right that it's all of us that make this thread what it is. Feel free to post here on whatever is on your mind. As a Wisconsin native I'm a true blue brew crew fan but I spent a few days in Boulder a couple months ago and love it. I hope for a good devisional series. As far as your pots go I heard it's not good for them to sit in water for more than a couple hours or so. I usually water outside the tent and let them drain for about 15 min and then put them back on their trays in the tent. I'd think that if you don't water to much runoff and the excess all got sucked up back into the pot in a few hours you'd be fine.

Rodehazrd

Hey Rocker welcome to the Jungle,

I use plastic trays too and root rot has never been an issue. I don't let the tray stand full very long but usually water is absorbed in a few min if I water too fast and get runoff.
Oh yeah post up some pix I do better with lots of pix.
Careful out in the surf:tiphat::shark:

Welcome Rocker. As for the brewers, I was quoting fiddy’s post. I don’t really care for the brew crew as much as miller stadium as the miller lite there is the best in the country.
Pops, high cbd strains freak me out. I’ve read places that cbd can cancel out effects of thc. I smoke to get stoned and slow the mind a bit, so prefer that couchlock lol!
Have fun and be safe lads
