i second what fish' said about the root riot plugs
they work great for seed starts and clones
im pretty sure they are the same thing, root riot is just a name brand, but they are those spongy plugs thinggies

hope your weekend is off to a great start f'nut
that sucks that the trails are too wet to ride but the disk golf sounds like a fun time
maybe we will get a air fryer, my man; it sounds like its more versatile than the toaster oven and would make a nice christmas gift
thats great that the brewers are in the hunt for the baseball post season
fall is the best time to be a sports fan, with the football season and the baseball post season
i dont follow baseball like i used to but i like to get back into it once the playoffs begin
go brewers

What's up jungle mates?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am taking the wife to the Jason Aldean concert tonight, should be a good time. We are supposed to meet up with my cousin and her hubby. I have a feeling a hangover will be in my future. My cousin is a freaking party animal, lol. Weather is getting cooler by the day. It's the first day of fall, we made it through another sweltering summer, woo hoo. Bring on the cold weather.

So I am 2 weeks in to flower with the new led. Got some nice lil bunches of white hairs forming. I am excited to see what comes of it. I will say they are drinking a lot. Going to be on daily waters soon.

@ Fiddynuts, I wound up with 2 granola funk females. Must of been a female heavy pack.
I got 2 headbands 2 gf , and 2 cobra lips.

Hope everyone has a great weekend

Greetings friends.

So it got down to 39 degrees last night in my neck of the woods. I feel like we went from summer to fall to winter, all in the last 36 hours. With this cool dry air my dehuy is getting a break for the first time in months.

@Badfishy. If one is good a few must be better LOL. I have very fond memories of getting sips of beer from my aunts and uncles when I was a little kid as well. Back then just a couple sips would give me that warm feeling, not drunk just a little buzz.

@pop_rocks. Even though I'm at work I feel like my weekend is already going strong. The brew crew got a nice win last night and the Cubs lost so we are a game closer to a possable division championship. You are right that fall is the best time for sports. Baseball gets to be a long season but gets really exciting again in the last couple weeks and the post season. Pro and collage football are fun and entertaining.

@Packerfan. Have a great time at the concert tonight brother, you deserve a night out! I'm glad you got a couple lady's out of the GF's. Out of the first three that I ran one of them has a nice blueberry lemonade scent and the other two have a little of that laundry detergent or fabric softener scent that the wookie dad seems to bring to these crosses. Ther aren't as loud or as frosty as the red eye Jedi that I grew last round. The other 2 GF's I have are just about 2 weeks into flower so not sure how they will turn out.

That's funny I got some fabric softener from another wookie cross, terpenado I believe. I am hoping some girl scout cookie flavors will come through. Forum cut is one of my favorites.

I can only speak for that brand. They come wet already. I buy a 10 pk from the hydro store instead of the 50 pk. The hydro store breaks the 50 pks down. I have a SERIOUS issue popping seeds and will pop as many as I can at once. Which leads to other issues regarding space since I use my light to veg vegetables also. Like atm I have 14 tomato plants and 12 pepper plants vegging plus another 6 plants of our favorite type.... soooo space becomes an issue. If I have 50 plugs I WILL pop 50 seeds.

What are the red eye Jedi? Think I may break down and buy a pack of ocean grown seeds in the next couple weeks. But also looking at the black garlic by oni or some mycotek gear.

It's Skywalker x 88g13hp it's a bodhi cross. I would probably go with black triangle, or hollyweed, or spirit hashplant. They all have the same 88g13hp daddy. I can vouch for the black triangle. I found multiple keepers in my pack.

Mycotech has some straight fire too. I am just starting to hear about oni. Man the selection of seeds are unreal nowdays.

Greetings friends.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! The trails dried out quicker than expected and I was able to get a nice mtn bike ride in on Sunday morning. The rest of the morning on Sunday was spend running errands and what not. By noon I was at home watching football, and being disappointed by my packers. I said last year that they didn't go far enough with getting rid of the coaches and it shows. The game has passed McCarthy by and the new defensive coordinator is just as bad as the last one. The team isn't playing well on either side of the ball. And how are you still calling it football if getting a clean sack on the QB is going to get you a penalty every time. Maybe they just don't like Mathews. They had a chance to start fresh this year with new people and instead kept the arrogant head coach. Maybe I'm being overly negative but Aaron is only got a couple more good years left and it seems like the team is hell bent on squandering them.

@Packerfan. Yes for sure the wookie brings that to its crosses. The lemon wookie (lemon diesel X wookie) I grew a while back had the same fabric softener scent, in fact it was even stronger in the LW. I'm still on the fence if I like it or not. Not getting a lot of the cookies scent or flavor yet but it's early in the cure. Actually I've never had any of the real forum cut of cookies so net sure what they are like. I'll be stocking up on the 88G crosses next time I place an order at GLG for sure.
How was the concert brother?

@Badfishy. I can see where space would get to be an issue. I've got two 2'x4' veg lights and sometimes run out of space as wel because my methods arnt very efficient. You are right there are so many good strains these days it makes deciding which seeds to get or pop next a real challenge.

Hey Fiddynuts,

The concert was awesome. I have seen so many hot women in little clothing in a very long time. Gotta love the sexy country girls. It was kind of a reunion concert. Jason Aldean was on stage at the route 91 festival when the shooting happened last year in Las Vegas. Lots of survivors their. We had a great time, hung out with my cousin and her hubby. I might be going to see system of a down in a few weeks with my cousin's husband.

Forum cut has a sort of doughy flavor and smell. I am waiting for my buddy to chop his garden so I can get some. I am 15 days in flower now. No frost yet but the white hairs are forming nicely. I am still unsure how the LEDs will perform, so far I am happy. I let the girls get way to big, so I had to tie them down pretty hard. Double dos-i pie is next on the list. Unless I change my mind. Lol. I am supposed to be working a trade for some black triangle f2s, they won't be ready for a while.

Good to hear you are getting some riding in. I am less than thrilled with my packers, and of course the idiot officials. Hope everyone is having a good start to the week.

You mentioned that Black Triangle a couple of times. I see DBJ has it back in stock too. I going to have to pull the trigger on that one while its around. I just got my 69.00 Led hope to hang it in the morning. Like Badfishy I suffer from too many plants and not enough light.:Bolt:

The struggle is real. I am adjusting to the garden shrinkage. I went from a 8x10 room and a 4.5x4.5 room, and a closet. Down to a 20inch deep, 50 inch long, and 50inch tall cabinet. I desperately need a seed/clone cabinet.

Yeah I ran black triangle for a year and a half or so. I love what the 88g13hp daddy brings to the table. I can vouch for the jungle spice it was probably my favorite. It wasn't so popular but I really liked it. It had a piney, sandalwood taste. It was like nothing else I have ever had. I want to try the pinsoul x 88g13hp, along with 15 other strains . Bodhi is prolific with his selection. I am resisting the temptation for now lol. I am hoping to have a bunch of new stuff from a buddy. Next on my list is double dos-i pie. Probably only going to run only 1 strain and flower them while they are still fairly small.

Thanks , I'm still looking for a lights out strain for one of the kids. He picked up some anxiety in Babylon. The Sats we prefer don't help .Some hybrids were ok cookies was fair. dutch kush

I guess I need too look at the CBD profiles and work some of that in too

The 88g13hp crosses should give you the lights out feeling you are looking for. Taking them to 10-11 weeks will help also.

Thanks I'll likely just go with the black triangle at 70 a pop I won't be able to go too deep in those choices. He had a afgan by 88 would that be more what I need?
My 69 dollar light came in from walmart . I can't change the spectrum but wouldn't know how too anyway. It has on off and two fans. I think the dual 5 watt chips are the same as any others. I don't think I could order the heat sink the board and a power supply and build my own any cheaper and it looks like quality components. I don't have any gear to look at spectrum but the one they publish looks nice. I'm running it 24"above the canopy to start. I may order another for flowering if I see it works.

Here's some pix of of the gold seedlings, I topped the three tall ones and left the runt alone. I'm giving them the daylight led's from the home store too as they are on the edge of the big LED pattern. My Oaxacan clones are doing much better in the new mix well mostly O10 there in the lower right still droops just like her mother. But the edges are not burnt. I have been giving a few spoons of boric acid per 6 gal of water and that seems to cure the tip and edge issue I call ripsaw look I had on another pheno of the Oaxacan and one LBL pheno too. I added no feather meal and no other source of N except what is in the fish hydrolysate I use. The Goji and some of the Oaxacan are way too Dark a green for my likes. Poprocks told me a long time ago I could use less fish and get by fine. Well you told me so Pop. Now I hear ya. These sats are teaching me some more humility.

Greetings friends.

@Packerfan. I'm glad you had a good time at the concert. While I have a hard time getting into much country music I have no problem getting into sexy country girls with little clothing :). I do like some of the old outlaw country like Hank Sr. And Hank 3, and the more bluegrass stuff. I think that the wookie is dominating the first 3 phenos of the granola funks I have. They are good but not very doughy. The blubbery lemonade one is by far the most interisting of the three so far. I've got two clones of the other 2 phenos about 2-1/2 weeks into flower right now so we will see what comes of them. I've got 3 gorilla bubble going for my next run but they are so slow in veg that it's been like 6 weeks or more and they arnt even sexed yet. I'll probably run the cobra lips after that, then I'll need some new seeds. I'll be looking at some of the newer crosses soon.
Yes for sure the NFL has become a joke and the packers are going to be the punchline if they don't get their shit together.

@Rodehazrd. Your gold seedlings and oaxacan clones are looking great. I've had some plants that just seem to like to droop and haven't had luck with correcting it with feed or more/less watering. The clones that come from them always seem to be droopy too. They seem to grow ok and put out nice buds so I kind of don't worry about it anymore. Keep us posted on how that LED works out. Are you using it as supplemental to you HPS? I've heard good things about adding diffrent spectrums and UV with LEDs.
Like 'Pack said the 88g crosses should be good for anxiety, the afghan mom would be very indica and should be a good one. Experimenting with some high CBD would be good as well. Auto flowers are all naturally high in CBD.

The AG sure is a lighter green than any I had before and the most narrow leaf.I have been careful to only give them micro's and worm tea. Just potted up into the low N mix and hope to keep them that way.

I have the LED in veg room only for now to see how it goes but would love to string a couple in the flower room. Heck its cheaper than a new hortie hps bulb. Those Oaxacan pushed the purchase they just are so much bigger so quick. On the other hand I kinda need the heat in the winter and this thing runs cool. With better lighting I can grow bigger plants and my goal is to grow fewer,

Did you have a favorite auto you ran from afterthought? I didn't know all auto's had cbd.

So you're a Hank fan great around here thats a family tradition Pun intended along along with bourbon and rollin smoke.

I got the complete Hank as a gift last year on vinyl from the kids. Umm Chanky.
I am glad you like him. For some new grass check out Sam Bush Newgrass Revival or Strength in Numbers he had Bela Fleck John Cowan and Peter Rowan all together for several years playing down around Asheville and Black Mtn. a lot. They hit Nashville and rarely played together again. Stars in their own shows now. Sam shows up at a Derby Eve party we often get invited to and jams with the locals. They get a lot of studio musicians wrangling invites to play hoping to sit in with him. His mandolin style is as far as you can get from Garcia but just as entertaining.

You may be right about droopy girl but I'm putting her on a low N diet she's still way too green. I hope the LED intensity helps her crank it up a notch and I find her reaching for the sky like a happy baby soon. So how many keepers you found so far bro. You been through a lot of the Bodhi line and Cali conn. what stands out for you?

Damn its still raining.

AgentPothead

Just this guy, ya know?
Thanks to everybody for the kind words! :huggg:I'm glad to hear others have awesome luck with the root riots also! They are like those peat starters, but made of decomposed organic "something" and infused with probably the same stuff in Clonex, since it's the same brand.

@poprocks I haven't flowered under this light yet so I can't speak to cola size, but I have a few pictures from my other grows under just the vipar. Roughly same length, one on right was denser.

@fiddynut thanks bro I think I also have seen the too comfortable to root where 1 of my clones just refused to pop out any roots. Whole thing looked callused like a mofo but no roots.

I hope you all had great weekend and if anybody on east coast don't drown in all this rain :D

Greetings friends.

I hope everyone's week is moving along nicley. Fall is in the air this week here with high temps in the 60's and nice dry air after a little rain yesterday. I hope it stays dry because the cooler temps make this the best mtn bike riding season.

@Rodehazrd. you make a great point about the heat from an HID being a needed byproduct sometimes. I think that the heat that my t5 makes in my veg tent is what also raises the temps enough to make cloning in there easy and quick. I'd love to try an LED someday and maybe starting out with a small one for my other veg area would be a great way to get my feet wet. Someday I'd like to swap out my 3x3 flower tent with a 4x4 so that I've got a little more room to let the girls spread out. Maybe adding some supplemental when I do that would be a good idea as well.
As far as the afterthought autos I think my favorite was the AVGas. I grew 2 or 3 of those allong with several others and they were all good. The ones I grew outdoor never turned out great but I think I didn't have enough light, the indoor ones were nice dense buds. I have read that all auto flower are high in CBD from the ruderalls genes. Some are bread to be higher than others. I'm sure that AB has new strains since then and could tell you which are highest in CBD. If you have space in your veg room they can just stay in there start to finish.
Yes for sure Hank had a style all his own. His grandson has a great outlaw style as well. And his voice sounds just like him. I'll check out some of that bluegrass that you mentioned. I don't get exposed to new music much and it's nice to get suggestion from others.
As of now I don't know if I have any keepers. I have 5 granola funk moms that are possable keepers. Three of which I grew out last run and the other two are just about 3 weeks into flower this run. Once the first three are cured I can decide if any are worth keeping around. The best plants I've grown are probably the gorilla bubble and the red eye Jedi, but I didn't keep clones of any of them. I have more gorilla bubble in veg that I'll grow next run so maybe I can find a keeper in that. It seems like if I do the work to keep clones around the plants are just ok but when I don't they impress me more. As long as I've got space I'll be keeping a copy of all I grow long enough to evaluate it and if it's good i can run it again and keep it around.

@AgentPothead. Those colas are looking nice bro! Too much rain depresses me and we are just drying out after a lot of rain last few weeks.
