That Elijah is some good stuff. He was one of the original makers. He is given credit in some places for charring the first barrels. Being a good Baptist Preacher he felt sinful not reusing the corn whisky barrels for the whisky he made with his extra corn so he set fire to the inside to clean it out and used it again. And like all good Baptist he recognized good whisky right away. And Bourbon was born.

I have been going straight to 6 inch too and they don't do as well I think I'll go back to smaller pots next time. Could it be that the slow dry out time affects the feeding cycle.

wow,man; 8" clones are huge!
i agree that the larger stem diameter cuts do root better, i think it has to do with more energy reserves and a need to get roots going more quickly
that would be interesting to see a comparison of stem sizes on cuttings and how quickly they root
i love me some good steaks but now i might have to wait until sunday to throw them on the grill
the mrs has plans on saturday night so we will see what we end up doing for dinner
cant wait to hear how you liked the latest crop!

Good afternoon pop_rocks.

The week is off to a good but busy start. It sounds like those are going to be some epic steaks, let us know how they turn out.
I'm really interisted in seeing how the seeds do ala natural. If it looks like bad weather we will cover them with a 5 gallon bucket or something to protect them. I'll probably wait a coupe weeks to see what we have and then throw some Granola funk clones out there.
I've been experimenting with taking big clones and noticed that the bigger the cut the better they root for me. A lot of the cuts I'm taking are like 8" and they seem to out grow the small pots so quick that I doubt I'm doing myself any favors starting in 4". It will be interisting to see how the second round does going straight into 6's compared to the first round that went into 4's then 6's. The first round are 10 days older but I have a feeling that the second round will catch up quickly. Roots looked good at the time of transplant.
I'll be doing a final update and a harvest report on the red eye Jedi soon!

Hey Fiddynuts,

I have grown a couple g13hp crosses, they were all really good. Pretty uniform structure in the 3 I have ran. I really liked the jungle spice, it has a strange flavor but I liked it a lot. I ran the black triangle for a couple years. And obviously the red eye jedi, was pretty good. Their are a couple more g13hp crosses I want to try. My wife wp uld kill me if I bought more seeds when I have a bunch.

I don't know about a straight g-13. Bodhi has a sick assortment of g13hp crosses. I was just looking at them on glg. Man it's hard not to order new stuff.

Hey gang...all this talk about 88 G-13 and Bodhi Hp crosses and no pics.

Here are 4 of Bodhi's Pineapple HP from seed at about 35 days of flower.
Very uniform. All of them have an earthy pineapple funk, nice and sticky too. First time through with them, looks like they will be coming in somewhere between 63 and 70 days...time will tell.

Got a few Cherry Queens and Lemon HP vegging up to sex soon too. I had to find out for myself why people rave on Bodhi and this seemed like a good start. Now to track down some Sunshine Daydream.

Hey Packerfan...They were part of a holiday giveaway on Instagram last year, so they basically fell in my lap and started to burn a hole in my pocket. They had good germ rates, 5/5 i think. One male and 4 gals. Easy to grow indoors with a moderate stretch and strong upright branching.

If you look close in that pic, on the far left are a couple of very purple flowers. Those belong to a cross made by a member here called Bugman. MKPN...Magenta Kahlise x Purple Noctornal. Deep purple calyxes right from the start. Smells just like Welches Concord Grape Jelly, and not in a timid way.

Good afternoon peeps.

What a nice day we are having in se wisco. It's sunny and upper 70's and my day started with a nice early morning mountain bike ride then a nice long dog walk. I also spent a few minutes cleaning up in the garden, it was getting a little messy down there, and with a harvest coming up I wanted to make sure everything is nice and clean and ready to go.

@Rodehazrd. I'm glad I made a good choice (or more likely lucked out) on picking the Elijah, not sure if there are multiple types but I got the small batch and it says something on the bottle about him being the first to char the barrels. I'll see if I can't put some in a glass with water and ice after work.

@pop_rocks. Yep the bigger cuts just seem to root better for me. They do suffer a bit at first because I don't think there is enough roots to keep up with the plants needs for the first few days. Maybe that causes them to focus on root development when I put them in soil. The DWC cloner works great and makes taking big cuts a breeze. I hope your week is going well too!

@Packerfan. These girls are the first plants that have not threatened to out streach my tent and I'm loving the structure on them. I'll be looking for more g13hp crosses for sure. It takes me forever to get through seed packs the way I'm going so I feel bad about thinking about ordering more seeds when I have enough to last me a couple years. I'm really starting to regret not keeping cuts of these girls, but finding them again should be half the fun.

@caljim. Wow man, those pineapple HP's look really nice! The plants look super healthy and are stacking. Great job with them! I'd love to grow out some SSDD as well, but I think I only see crosses of them not the original when I've looked. The purple buds look beautiful and the grape juice scent and flavor should be a treat. Marvelous!
I've been slacking on the pics lately. My 3 year old phone dosent take such good pics and I've not been keeping my plants looking so beautifully. I have to try harder because I love me some bud porn, in fact everyone I talk to here loves looking at these beautiful plants.

there are a few trails that offer some cover but the sun was brutal this past weekend
but after the mrs got heat exhausyion a few years ago we are being a lot more careful in the sun
our plan for tonight is to walk to the firehouse subs and grab a couple sandwiches for dinner
/and you know im rolling a fattie for the walk home

Yeah Pop Rocks window shopping is torture. I have been wanting to try relentless, and Karma, but then I look at bodhi, and then archive, and gage green, and jungle boys, and and and. The list could go on forever. I am going to hold off for now. The extra 200$ rent is making things tight. I need a couple things fixed on the car. You know how it is. Life happens, just gotta roll with it, and keep beliving( can't disappoint Journey)

I am not exactly sure how the grow situation is going to turnout. It's an old house and the panel is right in the middle of the back wall. Not much access to run circuits. I am 2-3 weeks out from flipping the seed plants I started. Still gotta build a box for them. I keep going back and forth about just getting a tent. During the fall and winter I will probably run a 4x4 with some leds I am trying to limit my energy consumption, and work with what I have for electrical capacity.

So we got a call from my brother in law, and the child abduction squad has tracked down his boys that have been missing for 2 years. They are hoping to have them back Tuesday. They have the kids and their mom under surveillance. They are setting up to take her down. I just wish we could be there to watch them lock her ass up.

Good afternoon friends.

Summer is heating up here in wisco and I'm enjoying my early morning activities whent it's still nice and cool. Today I took Rufus to the disc golf course and let him run wild while I shot 18 holes. He really likes getting a good run in and it's finally dry enough where he dosent get so muddy that I need to take him straight to get a bath afterwards.

@pop_rocks. For sure heat exhaustion is nothing to mess with. I got so heat sick the first day we were in Florida on vacation one spring that it ruined the whole trip. It's supposed to be in the 90's and humid here this weekend so I'll try to keep getting my rides in early in the morning. Canyon rim trails sound like a lot of fun, great views and like you said a nice breeze. I hope your walk and sandwiches were great and the fatty on the way home was the cherry on top!

@packerfan. That is great news about your bro in laws kids. He must be really relieved! I hope the cops don't screw things up and let her take off with those kids again.
I hear you on it being hard to choose what seeds to get. Even when I'm just looking at bodhi stuff at GLG I get overload.

Been a pretty rough day, my brother from another mother called. His bro in law killed himself yesterday. He went on a high speed chase. He shot himself on the freeway. The fucking loser news stations aired it. Wtf that's not ok.

We are definitely looking forward to getting my nephews back. They have a long road they are 8 and 11 and have missed over 2 years of school. My wife wants to home school them until they get caught up. The cops better fet it right this time. They had pulled her over last year but the warrant was messed up so they let her go. The prosecutor is supposedly going to try her for kidnapping. I hope that stupid bitch gets many years in prison.

i dont know what it was about but it sounds like the man was under a lot of pressure and wasnt thinking right,but taking your own life is never the solution

Sorry to hear about that 'Pack. That's fucked up. When my bro in law offed himself he did it at an intersection in Berkeley so that none of the loved ones would be the one to find him. It must be pretty crazy thinking of that kind of thing when in such a desperate state. There isn't much you can say or do for him but just being there for support is all.

I'll get some better pics of the dried buds but I did get one last shot before the chop to show how faded the plants were looking and the nice purple hue the buds developed.


@pop_rocks. I went for a mountain bike ride with a kid from work this morning and it went great. I feel really good about my fitness now, old guy like me was able to wear out a 19 year old kid on the trail. We are going to make it a weekly ride. I'm ready for the weekend too. That's cool they the Mrs is headed to see her friend, they probably don't get to see each other much. I know what you mean about enjoying having the house to yourself but missing her too. I hope your week was good and your weekend rocks...Fiddy.
