A simple question, why do you use 25 liter pots instead of 7 or 11? Thank you

I'm not good at feeding and those pure sativas tend to be more sensible to liquid nutes so I avoid it as much as possible.

Like a lot of growers, I grow plants in smaller pots up until the end of the first trimester of flowering (stretch). Restricting the roots tends to limit the vertical growth a bit. After that, I repot in big pot with plenty of new soil so the plant have a lot of food to form big juicy buds. Plus the added soil buffer the PH and prevent early deficiencies. Just avoid overwatering.

Only problem is its not budget friendly bit I don't grow many plants so ...

"I always recommend to outdoor growers growing tropical sativas in small/moderate sized pots to start the tropical sativas late on the season, or keep them during veg in small pots and then only transplant to bigger final pot when the flowering stretching is over. In that way you can control better their size, and they will have plenty of nutrients and new space for the roots to face a bountiful and healthy flowering process after the final transplant. These tips also work to grow tropical sativas indoors" (from Dubi in the Panama Haze thread, ICMAG, 2020).

The divas, day 45 on 11/13.

Golden Tiger's aroma is getting more pronounced. It's really Malawi like. Pure oily smell (motor oil, vegetable oil).

Panama Haze at 56 on 11/13.

She's a nice Panama Goddess dominant girl. Probably an early girl and not a 14+ weeker. Its a shame she burned badly because soil was too hot. Still, she's packing on some weight. Lemony incensy aroma from the Goddess plus leather notes and a touch of spicy thyme.

How small they have become. I understand that it is because of the 11/13 start but it is still hard to believe...

I make sure to top and train them a bit before the flip so the energy is redistributed between multiple colas.

Keep them in smaller containers up until the end of the stretch ( around week 4 of flower ).

Here is a picture of them on flip day to give you a better idea. Both are less than 12 inches tall.

After a good 4 months of curing, here is my final smoke report for the Killer A5 Haze.

The buds have a musky, leathery and incencey aroma. Raw tobacco undertones also. Sweet fruity/ashy taste on the exhale.

The effects improved with curing, in the head and the body. It's the kind of weed that hits you in the face and the body like OG Kush but it is way more cerebral and thought provoking. It also lasts longer and doesn't put you to sleep right away so you can enjoy the high much more. This pheno is potent but not edgy or anxious like Malawi can be. Great for listening good music, chilling and watching movies.

Smoke it or bake it for full effects. If you vaporize and are looking for the deep / in your face high, make sure to use high temps. Lower temps are also nice if you want a strong cerebral high but it won't be as complex nor long lasting.

Happy growing ✌️

Day 71 on 11/13.
I think she'll be ready around day 85.

Grown in Fox Farm soil, 2/3 Happy Frog, 1/3 Ocean Forest. Never fed. Watered with tap water. I up potted after the stretch to give the plant more food and place for its roots thats it.

Won't be using the Ocean Forest again since I suspect it is what burned the plants around mid flowering when the need for N dropped.
