Fuck that noise.

Get a prepaid tracfone cell phone (burn phone) and pay cash, toss them monthly. $50 a month is pretty cheap "help stay out of prison" insurance, no?

The security added by using prepaid (no name on an account) doesn't carry over to this application unfortunately . . .

Although your name might not be attached to the account, police can still triangulate prepaid tracfone to determine the users location the same as they could a phone on a standard plan. This applies to all the tracfones i've used in the east/midwest area, which are typically some combo of CDMA & GSM technologies.

So, who do you call on this "burner", where from, and using whose voice ?

Because, if you call the same bunch of people, probably uniquely if you are a naughty but nice man, they can work out who you are in milliseconds just on the pattern of numbers.

Likewise, due to Triangulation, they know exactly where you are, down to 30M sometimes, rurally, 300M, but they can tell where every single phone is and has been due to how your phone signal is triangulated between masts. Plenty of UK convictions are now based on phone evidence, just yesterday there was a drug gang in the news, busted with a load of burn phones that got used against them.

Finally, and most scarily, the NSA are very very very good at telling who you are from just your voice. "Voice Fingerprinting" is scary, looking at this place http://www.ptclub.com/spyware.html you can get voice scramblers, the technology they claim got Pablo Escobar caught. The scrambler could be fun but might look even less funny in court, and lead to a few "Dave's not here" moments along the line....

i'm confused, are you saying all the presidents are low lives? or that Obama is just like all the other low life presidents (to be named by you)?

If the latter, which OTHER presidents are low-lives, in your (clearly) expert opinion?

LOL. Just joking, whatever. We are all bitter that this technology exists, but if you think this is a new development, think again, this shit has been around a lot longer than this thread :)

No I was not saying that about all the presidents I don't want to go president by president on who I feel are lowlifes but on particular Bush both of them and now Obama who I consider to be no better he will do nothing for us he will only look out for himself and all his buddies in Washington!

Somebody should tap Obama's "super-secret" blackberry.

I wanna know who he's messaging with.

Afterall, if he's an American then he should enjoy no "reasonable expectation of privacy".

COULD NOT HAD SAID IT BETTER MYSELF!!!

riiiggghhttt. lol VOTE!

Our elections are a joke the popular vote doesn't even decide who wins a election for president! Until anybody can run for president win the popular vote and become president then this whole system is wrong. What happens every 4 years is they have several people running for president from each party it really doesn't matter who wins because their all part of the same thing no matter who wins they still get their man I think the main goal for all of them is to keep things the same and do whatever it takes to keep it that way rather it means taking away more of our rights with the lame excuse that it's to protect us from terrorists. How many people that ran for president last time do you think voted against the patriot act?

lol.

People in america have been trading in freedom for security long before Bush and Obama . . . . I disagree with pretty much everything you said in your post and would love to argue this further but this thread isn't about presidents, so lets stay on topic - if you want to argue politics further create a new thread.

 A warning from Benjamin Franklin's grave. He was a party animal, but a pretty smart guy IMO.

They who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Everything starts out as a "protection" for the people. Protection from drugs, protection from terrorists. It almost inevitably ends up being used against the citizen's in a tyrannical way. We beg the Feds to save us because we are scared and here is Big Brother to help us with arms wide open.

We are uninteresting for the time being. With all this potential surveillance in place, I sure hope we don't become interesting.

I don't like it one bit.

Then your just wanting to believe it's not true but in reality our whole system is built on control and until like I said anybody can win the presidency then our elections are a joke the only people that can get enough Electoral votes to win a person running in another party cannot win the presidency of the USA!

So true. You guys have or your friends have the iphone app that, when you let it "listen" to a song, within seconds it can tell you what song, what album, and who sang it?

Phones are already commonly used by both state & fed authorities to track subjects ... more publicly "after the fact" ... using phone records to re-create the subject's location(s).

Recall the ruckus during Dubleya's administration over the warrantless wire-tapping? Labeling it "wiretapping" really evokes the image of the old-school land-line taps. Not the case & very effective diversion. In fact, cell phones can be and were (and still are) activated remotely. I.E. your microphone and camera can be turned on remotely at will. The mics in cell phones were being activated to listen to conversations taking place around the phone ... not on the phone. Pretty cool, huh?

If you want privacy with your location or your conversation, make sure you do not have your cell phone with you.

Lets not forget, that almost every new cell phone has GPS technology. Triangulation is old school and requires quite a bit of work to get it done. The GPS function is how 911 calls from cell phones are located, matter of seconds, and "ping"... you are pinged...

Some phones a few years ago gave you the option to turn of the gps tracking system, I doubt if it actually turned off, but these days they dont even try to fool you into it. They dont allow the user to have the choice.

I know all this from a very bad experience...
