reading rainbow!
I knew I wasn't the only one who watched that!! I don't feel like such a dork now :biglaugh:
Man, if it wasn't for that show, I wouldn't have had a 500-count book collection by the time I was 10 :D

Nothing got me more revved as a kid that hearing about a good new book....Yeah, I was a weirdo, but I was reading 3rd-year college level books in the 3rd grade, not to mention part of an advanced reading program....
Us bookworms always jumped (and still do) for joy over a new book release. Although, now I go bonkers over a new Hawking or Kaku release, as well as anything science in general...Not much of a fiction reader anymore.

I used to love the after school specials shown on CBS during the '80s.

I also loved "Saved by the bell."
I remember the "on a special episode of save by the bell," the jessi spano character was hooked on drugs. And by "drugs" I mean over the counter diet pills. That episode was so funny, everyone was so concerned and serious, jessi was jacked up on some diet pills which are availible at any drug store. Not because she thaught she was fat, but because she had a lot to study at nights.
not to mention at the time crack was spreading around the country at an alarming rate.
