i have already asked this earlier in the season but I figured it wouldnt hurt to ask again

wondering if anybody knows any info pn the following strain which were aquired from gkg market around early may

strawberry cough- i got this as a large, neglected teen that was in a small container with hydrotron and soil. I was wondering if she is the kushman original or the dutch passion A'dam version?

sugar- just got a plant labled sugar, any info? she is large with long spears that are getting pretty frosty. i got this from a vendor at the market who was a regular there, she had the purplewreck and grape apes and a bunch of other stuff

triple black afghani- these were said to be from sexed from seed and were inside gkg under the flouros in black one gallon grow bags. I did a little research and was told that it is a cross f reefermans triple afghan slam and mendo purps, if anybody know this girls lineage pleasel t me know.

I am curious how much medicine would be required to enter? Some people might only have a 1/2oz or less to spare of what might potentially be the best of their crop.

^^^From the last time I was there for one of these, I'd say an 1/8-1/4 would be about enough, if not too much. I came at the end of the last competition and there were only maybe ten people there. 4-5 joints seems to be more than enough to get everyone a taste. But always the more the merrier. Also I wouldn't mind if anyone brought some extra, I plan on bringing some extras to trade and expand my medicinal collection. (If that's allowed of course.)


Sidenote:
I chopped my entry last night from a combination of fear of extended rain and wanting to have a dry/cured entry of some of the best I've ever grown. I'm not giving away the strain quite yet, but she's a winner in my books. She could have gone a full 14 weeks!?!, but got a half way chopped at almost week 13, mainly so I can enter her. SATIVA in the best sense of the word. All organic under the big HPS, from a single seed found in a sample batch from the last cannabis cup in Amsterdam.


I'm really looking forward to winning, kidding, well kinda. Not giving away her looks quite yet but here's a little something something to hold you over...

On Oct 10 we do a little friendly get together with a cup challenge and we just require that you are a member and bring enough to smoke for everyone else who enters the contest. Winner gets $50. Plus a 1/2 oz of their choice. Covered dishes (non-medicated) are welcome as well as samples of medicated edibles. We will have hotdogs and hamburgers to bbq and refreshments.
We allow trading and swapping so its just a fun little get together of members.
Usually lots of freebees to be had as well.

I would also like to find a cut or 2 of the Chem D if that's possible! Finally got to try the finished product and I was impressed.

Kinda off subject, but I have a couple males (Kali Mist and a Blue Sat 2.2 x Grape Krush) I could bring up if anyone wants them. Also have a Lifesaver that has yet to be sexed but should be showing any sec.

Ahhh the Headband.... My favorite but I have picked up from GK so far but there are many I have not tried. The cut I got leaned more Sour D is growth and smell, had quite a bit of stretch compared to other strains. I grew mine org/soil and pulled it around 68 days but next run will go to 72-75 days I think. Good amount of lung expansion and makes your head and arms sweat with each hit. I lost the cut I picked up last winter, but went up last month and picked up another cut (hopefully it's the same one!) . I went thru the HB jars much too fast

Yo Smokes, Here's my headband I got from GK- did yours look like this at day 42? Mine look way different...

buds look an aweful lot like bubba to me, and mine are purple as you can see, im not sure how that happened. I also noticed some of the leaves going purple

Do you think this is a mixup of strains?

I also grew this headband and questioned the appearance and mine had some purple also. Its stretchier than bubba tho and I thought maybe an O.G. dominant strain.. I dont know. I have always questioned it being headband. It came from a local vendor last spring thru the market. I have had several members who grew it out and found it to be a keeper regardless. I wish I could tell you more.

Hmm, your cut looks a little like God's Gift or GDP.... I got a clone from another dispensary that was labeled Strawberry Cough but it turned out looking like the plant in your pics. Whatever it was, it had a nice up high but packed a nice punch to it too, yielded a bit on the low side but the buds were dense.

My headband is a couple weeks behind yours, but mine smell like Sour D like the last headband I got from GK did. What do your plants smell like? I took 4 clones before I threw her into flower and all rooted. One is in DWC to see how she like a bit of hydro but the rest are in org/ soil if you want I'd be happy to drop one off a GK or bring one to the next cup just let me know.
