I hate to keep this thread going, but has anyone noticed that Justalillrowdy hasnt had one posting since they closed the farmers market? I had a feeling that the only reason she to be here is to sell her product, product gone as is she!
Nope still around and of course everyone was there to sell their product and spread good vibes..
I loved the mkt whether I had a sale or not because it was such a cool experience everytime and all the haters out there with your ugly negative vibes its all good. You get back what you put out. I am so proud to have been the founder of our Lake County Farmer's Mkt! Would love to get another one going so keep watching cuz ya never know.. I am sending good vibes to all.. breeders/growers/smokers.. even you backwoodswhatever..
Peace and Keep It Chronic.
Me too so lets all hope for the best.. It was great meeting all the really cool people who came for the experience. Thanks to everyone vendors and customers.
It would be very nice to have a NON PROFIT farmers market open up, then people wouldnt have to feel like they are being solicited to buy somthing. If you are so out to help the medical patient how about you have a NON PROFIT farmers market? we can spread the good karma and exchange some clippings without shelling out 15 bucks for somthing that has proven not to be a sure thing. That would be awsome and im sure that justalilrowdy would love for us medical growers to meet right at holistic solutions. What a plan right? It is all about spreading the good k right? Well lets make this happen, you have the power but do you have the heart to do it justalilrowdy? k+
I dont have the power.. I didnt own the store.. Holistic Solutions (now closed) and I didnt set the price. The store owner did. If it sold for $15. the vendor got $7.50 Holistic hosted the farmers mkt for half of our sales every Saturday so its not like the vendors were getting rich. 50/50 just so we would have a place to have a farmers market. I think that a non profit is an excellent idea but have seen the "non profits" making quite a profit too. I'm all for making it affordable and accessable so find a place to host and we'll do it!
Because the owner didnt have his ducks in a row.. city wouldnt renew his permit... I guess its like most of the dispensary owners he made his money.. maybe felt too much heat and got out. Its too bad its such a greed game but it is what it is. The owner made far more on the farmers market than the vendors but thats the way the farmers markets are set up that I have experienced. I loved the farmers mkt and this is my calling so we do what it takes to get it going on but too bad it has to be harnessed in to make someone person alot of money. I'm all for affordability.
A clone swap would be a fun thing... Got some great purps
Peace brother and keep it chronic.
So, why doesn't someone open up a new one and have all their ducks in a row. I've been to many markets and don't see how hard it is. You apply for a permit and make sure you have the location and you should be good. Just curious, because allot of members where digging this place.
Take care,
BG
Well it sounds easy in theory but you have to have alot of cash to invest and have a good marijuana attorney and then there's the issue of finding a rental. Most commercial rentals arent receptive of a dispensary. Clearlake has a moratorium on dispensaries. It may sound easy but there's a whole bunch of issues to resolve. thats why we had Holistic to host us.
Your right, I was just saying. Your right about the other things, but it's just sad that things had to close. Sounded like a really nice place and I'm sure everyone had a blast. Hopefully down the road, someone will do the same and there won't be a issue. Thanks for the info and sorry to hear it had to end. Take care all and have a nice weekend.
Later,
BG
I'd like to see the trading of clones for clones, but the stipulation I would like to see imposed is that if you're trading a clone for a clone, then the clone providers should provide a sample of medicine which came directly from the soon to be traded clone.
I've been to a couple of places in the Bay Area and picked up some clones and it would be nice to see samples of strains of what the finished medicinal product looks like instead of having to wait 8-9 weeks for the clone to finish up.
For instance, say you have a two different purple strains side by side. How would the consumer know if the product is either, say Purple Kush or Purple Erkle. I think samples of product from the clones would be a good way to distinguish the authenticity of a particular strain.
