Senior many thanks, Nomaad I have only a few..a half dozen seeds left. One close friend has her going and we will see how it turns out there, then possibly re-veg for cuts. UP.. I hope I don't disappoing my friends with this..my pix sometimes can make things look much better than they are, but not really so in this case, it is quite tasty..big smiles..DD
I am so excited for the cup on Sunday!!! I've only been to 1 dispensary before and I've never entered a cup! Can't wait to experience the vibe of this place!!!
Just want to make sure - if you are entering bud you are a judge, correct?
I grew seven females out, this was my favorite female quality wise. Very pungent and with an extended 6 month cure has turned to a perfumey astringent piss aroma(not the typical grapefruit smell NYCD is commonly known for, I did have that pheno, but felt this was stronger). I grew her from seed and she was taken at day 76. Organically fed through out her entire life and flushed for 3 weeks so the flavor is robust. If you have a microscope I encourage you to take a look at the glands and see a nice milky-amber mix.
Made with a mix of my outdoor. (NYCD. Red Dragon, Blue Dream, Grape Ape, Katatonic, Gob9). But the Oobubble was buds only nothing under a gram. I chopped them down some what before hashing them, but they was little to no fan leaf used. Flavor is complex and changes from hit to hit I'm guessing from the various glands your are smoking. Very strong and makes you forget easily, when puffing Oobbubble I often times forget to even finish the bowl, let alone a task. Very VERY bubbly, you do not need to put the flame directly on the hash for the first couple hits. It will dance around popping in the bowl if you are skilled at vaporizing with a lighter. Very uppity effect, which switches to a heavy munchie induced sedation in a couple hours time.
Excellent day of connecting, sharing and getting totally loaded. Thanks to everyone I met and the special ladies that made it all possible.
Its going to take me a few days, but Mrs Nomaad and I are committed to very carefully judging each and every sample. So far the stand-outs are the Malawi, Chem D and Platinum Purps.
I am hoping that the ChemD is the same cut as the one I brought home.
To all the Hash Bash heads... I'm sorry I was completely useless as a judge. There was a day when I could smoke hash like that, but that day has passed. It was all absolutely delicious and I wish I would have had the chance to try more. But I would have fallen on my ass.
I think we need to do an outdoor BBQ event after planting season is done.
Good Karma THANK YOU for a great time!!! We talked about judging by Friday. Is that the time?? (I could use the extra time!)
I'll try to post photos of the ‘judge bag’ (Judge Brag) we were challenged to grade ASAP.
Sorry we missed some of our friends & hope all made it home safe! We had the flat tire on the way there hopping that would ground out any ‘bad’ karma for all!!
haha you can run but you cant hide from the hash!!
oh and green lion i think it was that dropped ALL those NICE blue dream sssdh seeds man you rock,,,,,much karma and lots of "goodies" coming your way come fall!! After you left we were all in awe of the warm heartedness of your gift! thnks again!
and to the whole entity that is gkg, big Raspect to you all!!! It was a great time and its awesome to see te healing power of the herb bring so many together, and big ups to those who braved the drive and made it even though they were not feeling so good these days...we pray for you guys!
here is my fave Ganja Anthem...listen to this while you judge a strain or two and give thanks!
Just a note in a bottle from the Island. Mary Ann and I made it back to the Island in our normal 3 hour tour. We are looking forward to the judging over the next few days (daze).
To the hash bashers, thank you! There was not a bad sample on the list today, I know, I tried them.
Best of luck to all entrants, I cant wait for the results.
To the crew, much Island love to you. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Thanks to the ladies who put on the event.
It was really nice meeting some really nice IC mag folks... wish I had not so baked early..LOL
Hope the next week has shitty weather so I don't have to work and can get down to some serious sampling of our judges bags.
Looking forward to the next Cup in July!
Amsterdam ain't got nothing on Nor Cal.
A closed thread for judging results only has been created in our Smoke reports forum here: Good Karma Growers Cannabis Cup Judges Thread. Results will trickle in durring the next few weeks and we will post those as we get them. This, I think, is a first for our site and possibly for the internet, patients gathering together to share and evaluate medical marijuana, in an event, in the United States, and a very important step forward indeed. Thanks everyone for your participation and Rowdy for putting on the event.. DD
Edit:
Judges..if you have a judges number please feel free to PM me or Justalilrowdy with your evaluation information as soon as you have it, even if only one strain at a time, and I'll post it up in the judges thread. please include your judges number in the PM when submitting info, thanks DD
Had a 3hour drive home, so I couldn't do the Hash Bash.
For $15.00, I received 13 samples to test (including 1 unknown), an unbelievable Hash Bash which I had to pass up. So well over a $100.00 worth of goodies, plus the days' activities and meeting people.
I have been to 9 Cups in Amsterdam, paid $200 for Judges' Pass There.
The current A'dam has nothing on NorCal.
Meeting people on ICMAG and talking to them for hours was the personal highlight.
NoBull and the Ms, Nomaad,et al, good to see/meet you.
Payaso, didn't know you started Hipforum site. That place changed my life, literally. And thanks for the out-of-print copy of Skip Stones' 'Hippy from A to Z'. Could only read it online before.
People were handing out edibles freely, delicious, too.
Of course, the staff, Rowdy, Shannon, Mike , Eric, you all made it possible. "Thank you" does not begin express what your daily efforts mean to your members.
Now, backing to testing the samples...
Nomaad,
The Sour D is the "peach" from a pack of Reservoir Seeds Sour Diesel bx1.5 to bad all I had was the little buds from a runt plant to enter this time. I have to chop tomorrow so maybe I'll take a pic tonight to show the bomber nuggs. Wish I had DD's skills with the camera though
The Super Silver Haze is from Shanti/Mr Nice. I only germed half the pack so that female was what I thought was the best out of the 10 beans, I still have about 8-9 beans left so maybe I'll run those and have something else for the next Cup. Enjoy the smoke!
Doobie, do you need to know the names of the samples when we log on ?
I'm doing a "blind" testing, where I've numbered the backs of the bags, 1,2,3,and at the end identify them.
Whatever works, though.
great event everybody, i really enjoyed myself more collectives should be like gk.
so many great flavors and all wonderful in their own way. most are self explanitory name wise but what is this blue night by frkn sqrl genetics, its like a glass of champagne i grabbeed some cuts of a couple entries and would also like one of these are they available?
it was nice to meet all of you icmaggers and others
