EZ-Cloner review

D

dunkybones

Maijah -- When I've tried your method, the clones never take off. Repeatedly.

Fatblunt420 -- I don't think you want to scald the micros in the ewc. You'd have a poorly pastuerized ewc tea with a Mr. Coffee. And what if you confused the two, gave coffee to the plants and drank the tea? That could be nasty.

i dont understand all the problems? the beauty of the EZ-Cloner is its simplicity! just add water and your favorite root accelerator, place cuts in grommets, mist daily, and DONT TOUCH ANYTHING, theres no need to even open the cloner or look at stems for the first 7-10 days. Anyone who says they have roots in 5 days is LYING to you, have patience give atleast a week, dont touch anything, and you should achieve 100% success, good luck and remember K.I.S.S

Absolutely missed a lot in this thread and at high temps like I use rooting is way quicker, but much riskier for some. I seem to be able to get away with high temps because fo the EWC tea combating the bad shit from killing clones which was not the original reason I was using it.

Not everyone can just use an EZ cloner as you have stated. It has been stated multiple times in this thread and a thread that is probably 80+ pages long in the top of the infirmary as to what the reason and causation of such problems is.

So before spreading false information and unfounded accusations do some research. You are not the only case study in the world.

ok, so ive been thinking, and wondering if it works. or any one does this...
but i was thinking about getting a cheap coffee machine, and use it for EWC tea. seems like it would be easiest. i mean im using a coffee filter to filter it anyway. so why not, buy a machine that does it all.
fucking boiling poopy water on my stove.
has anyone tried this??? im about to go to walmart and get one.
i was thinking i wouldnt put as much EWC as coffee it takes. prob half cup to a cup, so it doesnt clog up.

Hell, no terrible idea. The idea is to cultivate the microbes and beneficials not to boil them and kill them. While making EWC tea higher temps do indeed cause it the tea to mature faster but we are talking temps 70-90 degrees...not anything near boiling. My guess would be that when water temps ~100 the tea of course would mature faster and be ready to use quicker, but also would go bad much quicker.

Everyone do remember that EWC tea is combating slime if you even have it. If not I wouldn't mess around with the tea unless you want the beneficials in there and it helps your clones root faster by your judgment. I do not know if it helps plants root faster I do know it is used to combat the slime for those of you who are unlucky enough to have bad city water for growing weed.

Thanks 40! I dont really have as much of a problem with it in the winter, but in the summer months keeping the temp balanced can be a problem for sure. Gonna try it on my 120 next time around

false info??? accusations????? what false information did i "spread"??? who did i accuse of what??? Maybe my success is due to the fact that i live in the northeast, i guess the air is cleaner over here? Clean water+clean cloner=healthy roots:tiphat:

Finished out the cloner today, with about 75% success rate. All clones rooted, but there were quite a few stragglers, the ones that took really looked great. This is much better than any past experience, where even rooted clones looked like hell. Thanks 40amps, and others, for the advice that saved my $300 investment.

I really feel it is important to realize that due to so many variables it is not possible to say how someone gets the results they do. That being said, I would have agreed with you untill I used the EWC tea. I have had roots start in as little as four days. That is "STARTED" such as 1/2 a cm. I also don't have to mist the tops. I can pot in 7-8 days. I also run two clones in each puck for a total of 60. I would not say someone is lying just because you don't have the same results as someone else, unless you can prove they are lying. Can you? I recomend you try the EWC tea with res temps at 80 untill you see roots then back off to mid 70's. You may be suprised at your results as I was.

The accusation I referred to was the whole calling me a liar thing for having seen roots on days 4-6 which is completely possible...I have done it twice now with plenty of different genetics. Cinderella 99 so far was the fastest. Almost all of the clone were able to be planted around 7-8 days depending on the genetics some may be slower but I have a high success rate at that time.

The false information was you saying everyone could use the EZ cloner as you do. Sure, its true if you don't have bad water from the city, but absolutely not true if you don't.

If you weren't taking stabs at me in my thread calling me a liar then so be it, but given the facts and what has been stated in the thread by me it sure seemed like the liar comment was directed at me.

i dont know if any of you use house and garden, but i was given a sample of their root excellurator from my hydro store. this shit is KILLER. ive been doing EWC tea, canna's rizzotonic, and clonex solution. once i got this root excel i noticed massive change in root growth, a day later the roots were way thicker, and very healthy looking.
i think this root excel is going to sub statue everything i used to use. definitely the rizzotonic.

You started this thread, making pretty wild claims, roots like yours may be possible in 5-7 days,(something everyone wants) but given 1/2 the replies to this thread, your results are not typical.

Your initial post reads like an advert; you've got tons of 'rep' and now people expect your results, what more did u expect?

If you had no 'rep' this thread would have 10 replies, not 172.

fwiw, i was the 5th poster in this thread, i fired up my homemade ezcloner (i have the misters/emiters) + EWC tea,(per your recommendation) and saw no improvements over control.

You should definitely reread the first post. 7-8 days in a hydro cloner is far from a wild claim lol. Especially when coco and rapid rooters achieve roots in 10-14 days. Everyone knows hydro is faster on EVERYTHING, that's why every serious commercial op uses hydro. Quicker rooting, flowering, and more yield no argument about that.

From the first post:
Second use: Clean it out with bleach water etc start it up a couple of days later. This time I forgo the 400$ water chiller and add 1 cup of earthworm casting tea and this is what I see on day 7-8 with 0 sign of slime:

Reservoir temp sits from 84-89 degrees 60 cuts done easy in one 30 site machine.

Bottom line: A lot of people on here told me not to purchase one and many said they were a complete waste of money. A lot of other people said they were great and well worth the money. I concur with the later. I can now take 60 cuts easily and not even look at them until they are ready to plant which now appears to be around 7-8 days.

Third go around was 5-7 days and these results were posted well after the thread was started (5 days plantable, 7 days very sufficient) and that was with Cinderella 99 and Sonic Fly which also has Cinderella in it and probably 5+ people have commented to me how fast and vigorous Cinderella roots. We all know genetics plays a part in rooting as I have also mentioned in this thread.

Its an ez-cloner review and I am quite sure ;) in the other ez-cloner threads with 50+ pages in them quite a few others have had the same results as me and many more that don't due to water quality or some other environmental reason.

fwiw, i was the 5th poster in this thread, i fired up my homemade ezcloner (i have the misters/emiters) + EWC tea,(per your recommendation) and saw no improvements over control.

Your HOMEMADE EZ-Cloner? Your using your results from an entirely different device to compare to the results of mine? If that's the case then what are you even here for? This is an EZ-Cloner review with EZ-Cloner results.

Let me outline just one, just one, problem with this method of analysis:

Lets see hmmm, reservoir size and shape alone can affect your results substantially. Temperatures fluctuate differently with different volumes of water. Night and day also play a significant part in this as room temperatures may also be fluctuating. Temperature plays a major roles in rooting time. The warmer the quicker...but also the riskier. There are many more problems like volume of water your misters are supply compared to the real ez-cloner etc., but we don't need a rerun of Sir Francis Bacon's scientific method...

What do you mean by control? Improvements over control? Control of what? The EZ-Cloner gives you roots whether you get them in 5-8 days or 14 days depending on strain and environment factors. the thing works period. What is control? I prefer results. Wait I forgot your not even using an ez-cloner so whats the point? The review was on the cloner and my results are typical. 7-8 days is no big deal in this thing for most strains and for people without environmental problems. Sorry if you did not get the same results as me in an entirely different device...I've used the thing a couple of times now with the same results and near 99% efficiency.

The reason the post become so huge doesn't even have anything to do with the original thread. It got big because many people had no idea what EWC tea was. It had NOTHING to do with the EZ-cloner and everything to do with basic organics.

I knew it, 40amps is full of crap. I used his method now for three runs, and my clones look great, the best I've ever had in my trademark ez-cloner. But now that I know he is bullshitting everyone, I'm going back to rapid rooters and posting the old black box on ebay.

Stupid worm poop, stupid pH, stupid temperature control... stupid churlish icmaggers...

On the serious side, Thanks again 40amps - I owe you one.

I have had many clones root in 7 days, but these are from vegging mother plants.

Not to beat a dead horse, heh, but I fell upon this in Mosca's cloning walk through. He uses burpee coco plugs that have an 'automated' watering system. Thought some of you who are having trouble cloning may want to try his cloning walk through in his forum.

Alright, I appreciate you posting up! I'm trying it on my 120 right now, 4 days and everything is looking great, will post again with results. Again, thanks and hopefully no more haters will post up, and if they do I'm sure you'll handle it!!

Wow, this was a long thread.

EWC Tea allows some to get away with higher temps in an EZ Cloner, thus, allowing for quicker rooting times associated to the higher temps. The same rooting principal goes hand-in-hand with using a heat mat under a tray of cuts in a rockwool, etc. to speed up the rooting.

If you don't have slime--you are fortunate--and you do not need EWC Tea. If you have been slimed then utiilize it.

Please, do not ask me how I know, LOL . . .

LOL, no way. I have somewhat retired from the slime sticky. Good going here on your part. I read through it. Man, what was up with some of those sour posters. Anyway, I vouch on the EWC Tea, lol, for those sour non-believers. Somebody else can take the torch. :D
