ez cloners don't guarantee any kind of success, they are the anti-success for me xD

I realize a cloning machine don't guarantee success.....worst case if I buy a cloning machine and don't like it I can always put it on ebay and get something back for.....thanks for your info good or bad I like the opinions....thank all you guys for beening honest....if you don't like the EZ Cloner then I'm sure you have good reason

I have a ez 30 and it's useless during the summer. Water temps run way too high. IMHO 72 degrees is best and not too humid in the room. They seriously don't need a dome. And they come out already hardered off. Best of luck to you.

Thanks......I'm gonna mark the 30 site off then I think..........I don't think the 60 site cost much more so maybe I should get a 60 or 120......Thanks alot everybody that's posted......it's all been helpful......I'd like to know the sizes of the resivours on the 30 60 and 120.....I think I'll try to look online at find the measurments of all EZ Cloners.....hopefully if I can keep the temp right and clean the EZ cloners or whatever I get with some bleach and water......to keep fungus and diseases from starting......I've heard you have to keep these Clone machines very clean and keep them disenfected....hopefully whatever I choose will work good after a few trys with it........thanks alot everybody

Look you can BUILD an "ez" cloner-cheaper and easily as efficient as the store-bought model.
Like Smokey said,EZ units tend to get really hot if your mean temps in your rooms are high in the summer.
The completely unecessary,foolishly-generated heat comes from the monster pump in the commercial "EZ" units, and it'll make the reservoir nute temps FAR too warm to effectively root cuttings. The "moisture zone" betwixt the nutes and the hanging stems should be 74f-78f,with the temps in-room not exceeding 81f.
Or....You can do it Reservoir Style.
What's this? You ask....
Well,it's easy and works 100% of the time.
Let me explain....
Grab some 16 oz. beer cups, and drill drainage holes in the bottom.
Fill cups with coco coir, dampened with 50/50, one-half strength GH veg formula.
(6ml micro,9ml bloom per gallon at 6.0 pH,cut in half with already-balanced 6.0 pH water at as low PPM as possible-)
Cut clones 6"-7" long, let soak in rooting hormone for two minutes.
Stick clones into cups,as deep as possible.
Set under floros, keep room temps at 77f-81f.
Mist all clones,ONCE,with 6.0 pH water.
Do not,not,not cover.
(No need, the stems hold more than enough water for rooting-)
In about a week, you'll have roots, and giant fucking clones, all rooted and ready for another week in the cups, then on to your main potting session before flower.
You have now been enlightened on how to clone the best,Reservoir Style.

Cheers!

REZ....this is great...I got your Super Silver Chemdog Haze.....this is kinda 1 main reason I'm starting to take cuttings again.....when you say fill the cups with coco coir dampended 50/50....do you mean mix the coco with soil 50/50 or do you just use straight coco coir in the cups with no soil......I used to take clones similar to this but I used straight soil and perlite.....and I sprayed the foilage about once or twice a day.......I got some decent clones but nothing to brag about......looks like I've done some things wrong.....I don't have anything to clone at the time but I'll for sure write this down and give it ago......REZ you are a legend and THANK YOU for sharing this info....I'll have to give it a try Thanks again.....this definatly makes me really think about getting a EZ cloner or not......Rez telling you how to take cuttings...is kinda like Jordan showing you how to play Basketball......thanks REZ and all the other guys that's helped with info about a clone machine

Ok I think I see what you mean 50/50 half strengh solution......So you just use coco coir only as your medium in the cups is my question?

Hmmmm....50/50 is 'ze nutes/water ratio....Do NOT mist them daily, they do NOT need it....And fwiw, fuck buying an "EZ Cloner",you can simply go & buy a 20 gal plastic tub,a SMALL pump....some net pots,gro-rocks,and some misters for <$40,and assemble one yourself....If you must. :D

Ok I see what your saying about the 50/50 nutes/water ratio.....I was kinda asleep when I first read it.......So you just use Coco coir only with no soil......and you said to insert the clone half way down in the 16 oz cups...
....Thanks Rez....I'll probably try the Resivour style and do it your way.....thanks again everybody.....maybe get a clone machine if this doesn't work......

just curious. have you done it? the whole clone not slumping thing. i keep my rockwool moist but it still slumps if i dont put a dome over it.

preciate it greyskull. only reason why i ask is because taking clones suck for me. i put 72 under a dome and in rockwool. so sometimes when im being picky about clones by the time i get to 70 71 72 the very first clone i took which was 30mins ago is slumped over and i can never get them few that slump to com back. i think im going to try the 120. any good sites to order from?
Yes i have tried it with no dome with great success it is just a hell of a lot more work. You will constantly have to make sure the cubes are moist. Not drenching wet but moist. Think of why an ez clone works dude with no slumping. There is no dome on that and the roots are constantly being sprayed with water. You can achieve the same in rw if want to invest the time in it.

EDIT: Insert the clone all the way as deep into the coco as you can....
More stem covered = more area for rooting to occur.

with the rainforest i had to add a fish tank heater in the cloner to keep the temp at about 68-72degrees the vortek pump is on the out side of the res.i owned a eazy cloner 60 and when the pump went out i bought the rainforest and have to say the 60 was a good machine but will buy a rainforest again and again it justs works best for me. 5 years later and still running strong good luck buddy:D
