ez-clone machine?

has anyone had success with this machine? it has areoponic misters and you just drop the cutting in the collars and let them root under floros.

and i want to know if anyone has heard of cloning for sex. my next grow will be 180 plants and i want to plant seeds,( in my cab i have now) take a cutting off the plant from seed while its young. root it, veg it for awhile and throw it in a dark room and force it to sex, then i will know with ones are male and use the females for cloning moms...does this work? I think this cloning process is going to be the kicker in my next grow so i want to be prepared..thanks all...

Not me but ask JohnBudd about them. They are unbelievable from what I hear. I've seen them in action and the root development was great! I used clones from the machine right into soil and the roots took in only 4 or five days. I'll be making my own soon. Not sure how yet but I'm sure I'll have a thread when I do! lol. Later OH

issac, what you need to see is one of the last posts in that first link. I'm sexing clones from plants from seed right now, and they wont have to be rooted to do it.

thats what i hear drawoh. i'm getting the ez-clone 120 site. about 350 dollars but i dont care. it will be worth its weight in gold!!!

the dealer says to put some mild nutes in the water that is misting the plants. and also gel to dip the cut in...any advice for nutes i need and what is the best gel?? I'll place an order soon as i hear some info...i'm READY!!!

They are great machines, and I get almost 100% success rate using it.
Not bashing DIY'ers.....just me and power tools dont get along!
The neoprene collar with the small holes is genius....I now grow with no medium.....the right tools make the job much easier.
I highly recommend EZ-Clone....a few bux....but great clones is a large part of the total effort. Just like a stereo, IMO, a system is only as good as its worse part.....so if you are going full on with all other equipment, why stop now?

I bought the 30 clone model and the first attempt worked out great. I put in 25 clones and 21 rooted, and I mean big, fat, robust roots. It shocked myself. I'm now rooting my second attempt. I started sunday, 30 clones ECSD, Space Queen, Killer Queen, William's Wonder, Sharon Widow and Schrom. I hope to have the same kind of luck as the first attempt.

I use ph down to bring my tap water down to 6. and I use Clonex Clone solution in the res and rooteck gel on the cuttings.

Yeah, those cloners look pretty sweet.

Issack, glad that helped. FYI, sexing the plants will work with any cloning method before they're rooted. Just maintain the proper environment for that method like normal and keep them on a 12/12 photoperiod.

With the 120 I get 95 - 100% success (to many times to count)
I use 6.2ph tap water
no nutes.
cuttings dipped in rotek gel.
make sure to check to res ph on he second day.
lights: two 40w floros
6 to 8 inches above the clipping tops.

EZ-clone suggests
After every run clean the unit by running a bleach solution.
run 1/2 cup bleach with full res of water for 15 minutes
drain
run full res of water for 15 minutes.
drain
towl dry and your finished.
I make sure to do this every time to prevent disease.

One thing I like about the ez-cloner is no humidity dome is necessary. You don't have to do the very dangerous hardening off or mist or open the dome to air out the humidity. (I've rotted more plants that way). Hopefully I'll post some root pictures in a few days.

With unrefined honey I've had 97% success with cloning. DIp them in a solution consisting of three parts honey to one part h20. This makes for a watered down syrup that coats the freshly cut clone. I generally shave the end and remove a few strands of outer stem. This provides more immediate surface area for rooting to occur. Then from that I through it right into the starter plugs and into the humidity dome. After seeing John Budd's success with the Ez_Cloner though, I might just need to get me one! They rooted in soil in less than one week! Later OH

I got a 120site one and it works awesome. Hope that helps a lil bit. I use Hormex and dip the cuts in that pure for 30secs then put into the machine. Good Luck Jubei
