Hehe, I've just had a flash forward to the next thread in this line of threads, we've had religion v science, now ETs, so I guess the next one in this series will be "Are ghosts real" lol.

Hairless, so I guess I should also believe in the loch ness monster, big foot, fairies, pixies, leprichauns, fire breathing dragons, mermaids, oh and father christmas too? And speaking of the chrurch, I guess all of the worlds various religions are the right one, each of them have had someone once report it was so. Proof requires a little more than the statement that this has been proved. Look at the WMD situation that was proved in Iraq before the invasion, and we know how that worked out. You need more than hear say for what is said to be considered to be proof.

No hearsay here GMT. I seenem for myself. I seen ships that did what's phisicaly imposible to us. The only way for an object to move as fast as what we saw, it had to be manipulatin time. It didnt come from here. I seen the exact same ships one time, much later on in my life on a ufo documentary. I seen that people saw the same ships that I saw AND got pics ofem. :yoinks: Shurly YOU wernt satisfied with bubbas proof. :yoinks:

There is no proof of extraterestrials, you cant find what isnt there.Just like loc ness, bigfoot, abominable snowmen, and cucupra......thousands have seen them and believe, but there just isnt any proof.Believing in this non sense is like religion, its all faith based.Personally.....I believe there to be no extra's,its not hard for me to believe that the conditions needed to build life only happened here by any means. It only takes one sperm to fertilize an egg, outta millions........well,outta billions of planets, only one had the ability to hold life.End of story

Then we are some very special fortunate MoFos which doesn't jive with the human condition here on earth......end of story....(lips puckered) bewwwizp

There comes a point were common sense must be used.To continue to say as an argument that something exists based on no proof and saying just because you havent seen them doesnt mean they dont....Vampires dont exist,or at least I have never seen one.Are you saying that everything the mind imagines could be real?I mean just because I have never seen a floating pink elephant....does that mean it might exist?

You mean those Floating Pink Elephants ain't real!!!!!

DAMN I gotta cut back on the spirits......LMAO!:joint:

Hi Harliess, well I can't speak about what you saw and I didn't, all I can say is that maybe we would describe it differently. Perhaps what you would call something not of this world I would call unexplained, and pretty impressive. I should have put quotation marks around my use af the term proved when bringing up wmd, though I'll admit that I did believe it at the time. My arguement back then was, to have used them in the past, they must have had access to them. And we know they used them in the past. But it only goes to show what believed means, we were wrong. But were straying into politics now, which will get this thread binned quicker than scotty could beam us up.

Hey Howdy GMT! I usta assist with the managment of the construction and maintmance of a fyew family nightclubs. My direct boss was a genious dude. He had somkinda crazy iq and alla that shitt. We usta sit at bar 4 after work alotta time3s after work and get WHAKKT. I told him one time bout what I saw and he related a story to me bout something that happened to him years before while he was in the navy stationed bord a carier. He said that for bout 2 weeks one time while they were out somewhere I cant remember, they were visited by a real fukkin big triangle with a red light in one corner a blue light in another corner and a green light in the other corner. He said that everytime it came down over them everybody got called below dek and afterwords they got briefed that nothing happened. He said it kept happenin over and over for bout 2 weeks. He was a real smart dude and not prone to fancy. I know he wasnt pullin my leg or nothin like that. He said he KNEW it wasnt from here. I dont think he was makin it up. I shurly bileave what I seen for myself. I bileave what the kid with me when I seenem saw too.

Damn, so many people without open minds...

READ PROBABILITY 1 BY AMIR ACZEL.

READ BOTH BOOKS BY BRIAN GREENE.

ONE IS A MATHEMATICS PROFESSOR THE OTHER IS A PHYSICIST. Probability 1 proves mathematically, in spite of what ROJO says, because the universe IS sooooo large, it's impossible that we are alone.

Brian Greene's books put in perspective the current state of our understanding of space time in physics, not by bullshit malarkey like "Well I haven't seen it so it doesn't exist" but it examines the implications of guys like Newton's & Einstein's theories, where they went wrong, what we've figured out since then, and what we still don't know for sure. And what we still don't know for sure is the most important stuff!!!!!

Look GMT, ROJO, skeptics... you can't see quantum particles (w/ naked eye) or hear them or feel them but they exist, they exist completely and truly... and we have only recently found them and understood them more.

We don't have a smoking gun.... but if you used all the information available to you, you can arrive at a near definite answer. We are not alone and for the love of god stop saying "Well I ain't seen it or touched it so it ain't there I don't believe it" ... GO READ ANY ONE OF THE THREE BOOKS I MENTIONED IN THIS POST...

sheesh

I'm not a whack nut thinking that Aliens have been here for 1000000 years and they've helped us along in the scientific field or they rule our governments or crazy stuff like that, to me that's out there. But I am so certain with all the information that IS out there and information YET to be discovered, that anywhere from maybe 70-85% of "UFO" sightings are a) something the observer is unaware of (ISS passing by that evening, meteor showers, meteors/asteroids breaking up as they enter the atmosphere, etc) or b) First World country black ops air/space craft. .... but then there is that 15-30%... those are the special ones.

Growing up I lived about 60 miles from a US Air Force Base ( a famous one, not the MOST famous though.. but you'd know it if I said it) and words can not describe some of the spectacular shows in the skies that myself and my family saw. I consider myself at least somewhat of a sharp tack, or I try my best to be, and I have seen plenty of jet fighters, comets, watched the space station fly by, watched meteor showers... and I am pretty good at Identification in skies.... but I have seen things that there has been no explanation for, even with the air base. The variety of UFO that was the most common in our area was the lights that go out, then come on a second later in a different spot... but there were a LOT of them doing it at once, not just one light repeating the process. From the observer's perspective they light up (similar to a star, but closer)... dim...move... light up.. all while staying in relatively the same spot (North-East of the AFB, which would have been incredibly far away considering the AFB was already 60 miles to our West). It was incredible and I can get every immediate family member I have, including ex gf's and my sister's ex bf, to tell you the same story because we all stood in our front yard like jackasses and watched it happen.

Truth is stranger than fiction, don't ever forget that. And try to understand the world and universe from a mathematical perspective... it might put you in your place.

I have zero doubt that there are extraterrestrials who have visited us. Proof is in the pudding. But you have to believe in pudding to see what's in it.

This is the Disclosure Project... http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=&search_query=disclosure+rpoject&aq=f

It's not anyone's fault that they have been kept in the dark. It would be nice if those who've not seen proof just remain respectfully quiet, but those ignorant of these things are often ignorant of other things as well, so it's not their fault. The government LOVES it when citizens make fun of people who know about extraterrestials. They help keep the real stories hidden for fear of being called crazy. The government should send checks to people who try to discredit folks who know the truth.

You can either learn and accept the greater truth, or keep believing that your cage is all there is.

ET's are out there for sure, to think or suppose that
we're the only intelligent life in the universe would just
be preposterous. As usual the US govt knows more than
it's ever going to tell us, a secret so long it'll remain so.

HairlessCaveApe, this is actually a common occurance. The aliens are afraid of silly humans with big weapons, so they routinely follow nuke ships, disarm missles in missle silos, etc. We've even tried to nuke the surface of the moon for science, but they would not allow us to do it. Basically they're like, "you guys are too immature for these kinds of toys". They are afraid that we'll take our dark ways into the galaxy and not play nice. All you need to do is look at how people treat eachother right here on this site sometimes, and you'll know why they don't want us bringing our weapons off the planet.

Use Google Earth, go to the "sky" button and look through the universe... If you really spend some time looking out there, you'd have to be pretty imaginative to believe there's NOT life out there.

lol CC, did you really just call anyone who doesn't believe aliens vissit the earth, ignorant? Anyone who doesn't believe what you believe should keep quiet hey? lol.
I didn't say that there isn't life anywhere out there, just that it does not make any sense for them to come here.

Why's there always have to be something else? Why cant something just be.........I get the same sensation staring into a flawless diamond or the ocean CC,just because space is there doesnt mean life is.What if we are the only living planet in the universe?I like how we instantly give aliens human charecteristics....they wont let us use nukes because of compasion!!!They must secretly worry about the universe, and funny how they are so advanced but they have adopted our use for lights on there craft, even the coloring!!So advanced are they, that we cant even begin to understand!!!!LIKE GOD!!!!!

I think the worst thing you can do is take a stance, you can go over possibility after possibility but you can't just assume, just because it's possible, that there is other intelligent life out there. You also can't assume that we are the only intelligent life. A stance is not to be taken, until you are enlightened with actual factual matteroffactual proof.

If ya can admit that they exist then your not too far from figurin out they been here. -If you can admit they exist, that meens you realize theres at least 2 forms of intelegent life in the cosmos. Them and us. From there its not that hard to admit that if we'r not alone and these guys aint from round here -they also figured out that THEY wernt alone in theyre neiborhood. I figure we aint the only semi intelegent life forms they met. If ya admit theres at least 2 intelegent life forms in the cosmos ya can prolly prety safley deduct that theres countless others. From all thats natural around ya, cant ya see that? From there, lookin at the observably timeless nature of the whole thing, ya gotta figure theres countless other worlds out there with folks onem. Dont ya think that threwout the endless stream of time thats tikkt away for the last billywillywillion years somebodys gotten REALL FUKKIN SMART? --Waddaya figure sombody real real smart would do if they was in a position like that, stay home and watch tv? Dont ya figure theyd be out crusin round kinda keepin an eye on things?

Aliens do exist... there have been millions of sightings around the world since the dawn of time... even in cave paintings UFOs and alien like men have been recorded. Ill give you a few examples to show you what Im talking about.

Several of the moons around Saturn are thought to be water based under a couple KM of surface ice... Imagine a whole planet wide ocean existing for billions and billions of years just like our planet earth... there has to be life, maybe not on every "water bearing" planet but out of the trillions and trillions (not billions and billions... there are billions and billions of STARS in our milky way galaxy alone, well over 100 BILLION) were talking very probable.

Saturns moon Enceladus contains water, geyesers, surface lightning similar to our storms.... Reuters press, Nov. 28, 2008

The statitistics
1) The number of galaxies. An estimated 50 billion galaxies are visible with modern telescopes and the total number in the universe must surely exceed this number by a huge factor, but we will be conservative and simply double it. That's 100,000,000,000 galaxies in the universe.
2) The number of stars in an average galaxy. As many as hundreds of billions in each galaxy.
Lets call it just 100 billion.
That's 100,000,000,000 stars per galaxy.
3)The number of stars in the universe.
So the total number of stars in the universe is roughly 100 billion x 100 billion.
That's 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars, 10 thousand, billion, billion. Properly known as 10 sextillion. And that's a very conservative estimate.
4) The number of stars that have planetary systems. The original extra-solar system planet hunting technology dictated that a star needed to be to close to us for a planet to be detected, usually by the stars 'wobble'. Better technology that allows us to measure the dimming of a stars brightness when a planet crosses its disk has now revolutionised planet hunting and new planets are being discovered at an ever increasing rate. So far (August 2003) around 100 have been discovered so we have very little data to work on for this estimate. Even so, most cosmologists believe that planetary formation around a star is quite common place. For the sake of argument let us say it's not and rate it at only one in a million and only one planet in each system, as we want a conservative estimate, not an exaggerated one. That calculation results in:
10,000,000,000,000,000 planets in the universe. Ten million, billion, as a conservative estimate.
5) The number planets capable of supporting life. Let's assume that this is very rare among planets and rate it at only one in a million. Simple division results in:
10,000,000,000 planets in the universe capable of producing life. Ten billion!

Ignorant is too often used as a blanket word. In this case I am hoping you can read it as written, that you can be ignorant OF something. I don't call people ignorant, just ignorant of certain things. Don't take it personally, it's a reference to the lack of a particular knowledge. I'm ignorant of many things, like baking a perfect loaf of italian bread, or refurbishing a motor, but it doesn't mean I'm an ignorant person.

It's hard for some people to accept that there's more to life than what they currently know about... but this is a temporary inconvenience for the open-minded.

Yup.. Ive seen things that appeared to have a body similar to a human but it was not human. As I think about what I see, realization occurred to me. If people cannot get along together on a single planet, they will never get along in the vast power of being able to alter the universe. They will be seen as an invasive species, humans.

Imagine if greed and heartlessness would govern the universe as it does on planet Earth. The, "aliens" will never let us run the universe anytime soon. We are cruel to other humans and we cruel to our own planet.

Think about it, would you want Adolf Hitler ruling the galaxy? Humans have the potential to be a great being in the space of time. Tragically, it is so easy for humans to recreate each other but it is most difficult to create a perfect human.

"Aliens" will not let us rule the galaxy with a short life span. We only value our own lives and those close to us. We never consider human life in a time span of 1000 years from now. Until we do, we will always be set back in human development.
