before you start grafting I would sort that algae out eeek !!

the grafting is a long way off yet mate and a little algae is no big deal bruv lol i always peel of any outer fabric if i do find some on any jiffy,s and tbh the clone i pulled out was the closest to me they all rooted so that 1 will most likely be binned! thanks for the concern tho lol:biggrin:

As a grower would know your rite algae is no biggy plus even if i did plant that clone, its below the soil/coco so the algae dies! i have never been concerned about for that reason! now if your growing nft maybe thats a diff story but seeing as im not! its of no concern..

I have never seen a nanner on Psychosis in any of my grows, it's like cheese in that respect. Although my buddy managed to reverse cheese it had no pollen.

I was smoking his OGKA x Psychosis last night and its a nice smoke.

Psychoberry is more vigorous and more floral in taste than Psychosis.

However, psychoberry is a PITA to deal with and the sucker branches and shit that otherwise distort the yield potential.

It's one of those plants that if you can use all the growth from the central stem it would do better.

It has more vitality, where the Psychosis uses lots of N the berry don't and can be kept in 1.6ltr 10cm pots for twice the amount of time Psychosis can and be in perfect health, Psychosis needs a lot of nutrient's to keep healthy and it's more nutrient fussy.

Psychosis also has problems if conditions are not perfect, It starts to grow weird bud shapes and looses the sweet pine funk that I love and with too much heat it's airy and loose and races away with foxtails instead of putting the final weight on.

Psychosis is tricky to get trays of clones that perform exactly the same, CxNL is much more consistent than Psychosis and Berry.

It looks spot on for the englishrick pic but the suicide cut also looks identical in veg too.

You might have better luck identifying the cut via the source. Did it come from someone offline? Where abouts was it sourced? How long have they had it for? What was their source? etc

Peace

its virtually impossible imho to ID most cheese cuts by veg pics. grow it out and smoke it. better still get a sample to someone with first hand experience who will give you a reliable opinion.

another 32 page epic thread for me to go and digest.. if anyone needs me, I'll be on pages 1-5 ;)

lets see if what I think I know holds any water...even as someone who spent a lot of time in the free party scene, I bet at least 90% of what I've heard over the years is drivel :)

good thread, I enjoyed that...cheers everyone who posted :)

the only time I grew cheese was 2 cuts I had yrs ago via BH.. never smelled anything like it, seriously thought it had root rot after 7 weeks in flower, I even had it out of the pot to check.. what a minger ;)

Yeah it came from someone offline, up in birmingham. As far as i am aware hes had the mother for at least 5 years+ . Hes one of those commercial guys, got links with a couple of the vietnamese/china man, however i know that it didnt come from them.
I did ask for if he knew which cut it was, but he couldnt tell me. All he said was that in his opinion this was the proper one and to keep her safe.

I understand that its hard to tell from veg shots, i will make sure to post up some pics in flower when she gets there, as i would realy like to know which cut i have.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look at her piff, i realy appreciate it.

it looks like the cheese I used to hold some 10yrs back.
If she was under lit she did the 3 fingered leaf yours is doing.in particular under flouros/envirolite.
at the time it was called "the luton" cheese, back in the days of hg 420/uk cultivator.after much research I reckon that's what's now referred to as "suicide"
The Brightside always seemed to yeild better in pics against the suicide but the density of the suicide was always welcome..
I've not grown the Brightside so unsure if it also 3 fingers as readily.
whatever it is Birmingham is the cheese capital so if it's lasted 5 yrs for a commy grower there it'll be worth a run I'm sure!
Look forward to watching it develop.

the Amnesia gives me a rash if I don't wear sleeves when I trim it as well...the phenomenon is real :)

epic thread. i really want to try and grow cheese now.lol
i just moved to birmingham for university/studies. seems like im gonna have to go out and about to try and find where all these cheesy brummy cutts are. lol

great thread, sounds like the cheese is a real stinky plant.

ive just grabbed E.R,s cheese. see if its diff to the other 2 cuts i grew, both great btw...........:tiphat:

anychance you, or anyone else for that matter, has tried cheese grown from seed? whats the views on it ?
nowhere near as good, just as good?

I dont really have mates who grow, so im thinking seed is my best bet of trying to grow the cheese. my friend who got me into growing, has moved to USA , so i have no real way of getting new strains without the seed popping option.

are there any threads with side by side grow logs of all the various 'real deal' cheeses? id like to see that.
Ive smoked loads of cheese, and the taste various so much, so i have no idea which cheeses ive smoked, and which one is decent.

thanks for reading.

Obviously can't be one hundred percent, but most likely to be the suicide cut as that was sourced via birmingham and is also what the viets grow. Yields well, has the cheese smell and taste but slightly less power and flavour than brightside's. There's also a cheese cut in birmingham they call "brummie cheese", could be suicide cut, not the brightside cut, but who knows...

Like Hemperor said though, you'll never really know until its grown and smoked by someone who knows all the cuts and even then, they might never be sure due to environmental factors.

Peace
