Ever smoked a joint of cherry pie?

If you did and now that I have your attention i need to know something.
After trying multiple strains like hazmat og,triangle kush,topanga,legend og, purple skunk,gush mints, jet fuel gelato, bubba kush (matt berger),chem D, LA kush cake, joker #99, gg#4,rene,sour best shit ever among others...none of them had a taste as pronounced/intense as the cherry pie and purple urkle. The zoap did have an intense taste too but im not a big fan of grapefruit terps. Do you know of any other strains that has an intense taste?

I mean,I grew hundreds of seeds and the rare super tasty ones are almost non existent. its one in a few hundreds for me. But then again im super picky and rather not smoke if its not going to be a long lasting explosion of flavors in my mouth. I couldn't care less about the high. Anyone who smoked cherry pie knows what i mean by explosion of flavor that coats your mouth like almost nothing else. Too much watered down flavors out there.

Back in the day around here we had biker strains like freezeland,jean guy,strawberry,garberville PK and we used to grow with Peters 20-20-20 lol. What all these strains had in common was the immediate explosions of flavor in your mouth when you smoked a joint. Now pretty much everything else i grow from seeds and clones is like Meh! Taste is much more subtle on pretty much everything. I must have grown close to 100 different strains out there,from multiple seedbanks, tried close to 10 brands of nutrients and rarely did i ever find anything good in terms of taste intensity.

I know exactly what you’re saying……it not only has that mouth counting, stays around forever quality, but also the sheer intensity of the flavor too….not a combo that is very common, especially with the “bright” notes CP has….sooo complex.

Zoap would be the closest thing I’ve had in a while, it has that “astringent” quality CP has, just not as pronounced, nor is it anywhere near the level of CP, but it’s in the same county at least lol…..not quite neighborhood.

Closest thing I’ve found is some phenos of a CP x Gogi cross I made years ago. About 30% herm rates…. I’m almost positive that’s why you don’t see more CP crosses, she’s a herm factory, but the solid ones are more than worth it when you land one.

Good to know we're on the same page. Cherry pie does throw a few bananas in the lower buds but nothing too crazy. There is a cut going around called grape pie which is grape stomper x cherry pie. Would be fun to see how the taste translates but 99% of the time, crosses make watered down flavors.

If you want my attention, here's what ya'll seed makers should do. grow at least 300 seeds from every cross you make and pick and chose the best one and ONLY THEN will it be worth trying it out. I wasted enough money on trying to finish your jobs lol.

America has been a bit bland. Cake. Cookies. These are not names that make you think flavour explosion. The EU had a white strains era before that, where they were also just milky flavours. Lot's of nice things were bulked up with Critical, which does nothing for added flavour. The Kush stuff has always held strong though.

I don't think things have got worse, but ask me again when I'm older, and I might say everything has.

I just looked at your thread. Yesterday you said your plants were still standing so how do you know if any of them is super tasty? Plant smells and plant smoke is 2 different things. I've had strains that didnt smell much but were much more tasty than others with super strong intoxicating smells. I recently purchased an old cut of blueberry from dj short. More sativa dom, super frosty and stinky but the taste just wasnt there. I need to find the indica blueberry dom cut to see if shes better but she is nowhere to be found.

well if you look at the seed stock that most breeders had back in the day compared to today then i can confirm that it has gotten worse. That kyle kushman purple kush/LVPK is sooooooo good. nothing really comes close to it, at least for now.Cherry pie is close though. And i've tried quite a few OGs and hyped up strains recently.

The first that comes to mind is Obama Kush by CSI Humboldt. It's super thick strong flavor that tastes like spicy, buttery, pepper, the smell and flavor are so strong, unique, and if you enjoy it you will definitely always be wanting more like me
It smells exactly how it tastes, that's how you know if it's grown right. It ALWAYS has that unique smell.

Next is Purple Hindu Kush by CSI Humboldt. It smells strong and good and tastes exactly like the smell. Sweet, black licorice, fruity, floral, it's like eating a flower flavored fruit roll-up! That strain is so solid genetics wise I think from decades of stabilization that you pretty much can't grow her wrong. Even if you do grow her bad or pull early it still smells and tastes great and the high is so strong it knocks you down
Also the buds are so big and so dense a bud that looks like a gram is like 3.5-4.0 lol

Garlic Breath by Thug Pug. It is a strong skunky, cookie, garlic, peppery smell and flavor. Like the other two the smell is strong and unique, it tastes just like it smells. It's a heavy yielder, easy grower.

Rude Boi by Archive. It smells and tastes like gassy milk, or creamy funk. It's like smoking a piece of cake and drinking milk

Chocolatina by Exotic Genetix. It's like a chocolate OG skunk, funk, kind of creamy, the buds look like an OG visually, and structure, but the frost on it is so insane like GG4. It has a great smell and flavor. It's one of those one's you can pull a random roach out of an ashtray and know it by flavor. The flavor is so good and strong it stays til the last hit. And it is couchlock material

The problem is that every strain basically has cookies, Runtz, or Zkittles in it. So everything tastes exactly the same. If they grow it right it tastes good like a certain dessert for like the first month after harvest, then after that or if grown improperly which everyone does because they bulk their plants for more weight/money , and then they never flush because they pull it early cutting the flavor and the overall weight down
The Lemonnade/Cookies store is down the street so since it's closest I go there more and I hate it. They have Runtz #9, Runtz #2, Runtz #33, Runtz #6, Runtz 13, all these Runtz Runtz Runtz and it all tastes like toilet paper, dry, old, Granny tissues

I agree, I got a dude on my gram that grows/breeds in Washington and when cherry pie was poppin, he was making all kinds of crosses with it and they were fire. But herm city. I've come to believe all plants naturally herm so if I want a strain bad enough I will grow it herm or not because like one time I bought a $300 ounce of Obama Kush when it first came out, and found a bagseed. I grew the bagseed out and didn't take clones because I didn't have high hopes being hermie in mind. But it was exactly like the original! I was kicking myself in the ass damn near crying for not cloning, but when I harvested and was smoking it, I went to roll a joint and found about 9 seeds. I laughed and told my wife "Look! I guess I didn't need to take clones anyway because she gives you enough seeds every time to make sure she sticks around!" lol

Oh yeah those ssh crosses! Super Silver Haze and Montana Silvertip have that strong flavor terp as well. It's like a spicy, funky, tropical fruit from super Silver Haze, anything she breeds into she has a strong flavor dominance

It was like a skunky, milky, mango.. grew banana sized buds. Everybody's uncle grew that in the 90's! You buy an ounce and it's just a single bud that looks like a corn dog
