I spent much of this season fighting aphids and fungus gnats; I hear ya.
The thought of sterilizing soil is worse than the cure IMHO
I now keep fresh nematodes handy (Steinernema feltiae) and Dr Zymes eliminator. Best practice is to keep my soil healthy but sometimes….you need an intervention.
I even use potato slices as opposed to sticky traps to monitor my soil for fungus gnats. I found that info on a local agricultural extension service web site. (works for me anyway)

Every time I check in here (almost) I find a new medium being used or a new twist on what I’m doing. It’s amazing the information freely available here. 📡
Definitely, this place is a goldmine of information- little quieter in the last few years but it’s a quality forum and always has been imo

They’ve grown noticeably since yesterday, looking like I might be able to get some nice bushes from these and possibly some clones this week… the extra plants will be going this week (I think) so I will be able to put the fan on it’s back in the middle and spread the girls out a bit.
I’ll wait a couple of days to do pics :tiphat:

Watered tonight, extras still there but I’ve moved them around a little so I could get the fan on it’s back in the middle, facing up 👍 I’ll leave the photos for a few days
Went and trimmed the first headbanger x opg today from under the 600 sodium (#3 cut , was done in 8 weeks under the LED, had 9 and could have gone little longer- LEDs seem to finish the same cut faster?)
As we have to wait around another week for the others, the extras will be around until then.

38 days old, watering day… was meant to be last night but it was a hectic day so I’m a day late. The big girls are not bothered but the little ones were a bit droopy tonight

No feed yet but I’m keeping an eye on them because I’m expecting them to be hungry ladies.
The stem on the shortest one (orange bucket) is continuing to get thicker despite its small size

Day 42… first feeding.
Considering flipping soon , waiting for slightly milder weather if I’m totally honest
Edit: I removed a couple of old big fan leaves at the bottoms, they were getting blocked out anyway and were becoming a pain when watering.
Looking happy enough :tiphat:

Day 46 veg.
Looking very nice, no complaints at all… gave them a water, small underneath trim, took some clones and removed a couple of leaves from the top-middle.
Planning to let them have one more night (I run the lights at night) then flip them tomorrow.

Pics- one of each before water and trim, then a group afterwards.

I had a med to mild case of fungus gnat.I used a fair amount of sticky paper but the turning point came w/ the introduction of white vinegar w/ a few drops of dish soap in a bowl. It caught some but is it possible that the smell, because it does smell, repels the gnat? That sticky yellow was effective too.
