Eradicate Broad Mites 100% Organically

Hello, I am a new member and dealing w the RM. I had never even heard of these things until 1 month ago. Now my life is consumed w/scoping, reading and trying to battle them. :( . I believe my host was a Hemlock Tree immediately adjacent to my shop. Hemlock trees also carry a russet mite. I had the tree removed yday and start clean up today. The tree was apparently diseased and dieing anyways and will make good firewood.

I have been battling the RM w/ an essential oil mix of Rosemary, cin leaf,dr bronners peppermint, and aspirin 1/2 strength foliar spray , (full strength drench 325 mg.gallon). It has seemed to help but my nugs are looking beaten and small. I did an aggressive defoliation at day 21 and day 31 in an effort to assist w/ sprays and remove badly infected leaf. I have scoped and scoped after last spray and cant spot anything really.I followed up each spray the next day w water blast. I use a hudson atomizer to apply. Fingers crossed I can ride this out , do the tear down and restart.

I will try the sulfur as preventative on upcoming vege..

I see mention of a BAS essential oil mix,. I did a search for it and didn't locate, if anybody would be so kind as to pint me at that.

I really appreciate this discussion and any help. It has been a lonely dark month. I had such high hopes..now i just want to salvage a few bugs and rejig..

my bad i meant to say salvage a fewnugs.^^^^ I don't care to salvage any bugs!!!! thnx again for this discussion..:)

Buildasoil carries the mix. Used with sulfur and pfr-97 in rotation totally fucks their existence into oblivion. Be persistent and follow the directions and they will die....organically! I thought I would never beat them.

Hi tessarecting, thanks for the thread!

Can you give some info on the type of atomizer you use? Is it a hand held one, where you shoot the plants with it (I'm guessing no) or is it operated like a "bomb", where you set it to go and then leave the room? Any more detailed tips on one would be most appreciated. Maybe a pic even?

Thanks again :)

I use a 2gal electric handheld atomizer got it from the hydro store. I shake it around while I spray to keep stuff mixed.

I use the same one im sure:

i find that by opening the air intake full blast then clogging the sprayer end by putting my finger over it, the air is all redirected back into the sprayer reservoir, and it mixes it up very well by air agitation. I try to remember to plug the sprayer tip up every few minutes while spraying.
also, keeping the res above the spraying tip gives you a heavier spray, so does closing the air intake - that's been my experience with them.
seriously, any large-ish garden should have one of these imo.

Prefer the one with the arm myself. Might grab a broken one from work and build another Juggernaut. Boy was that fun.

Can't recall the force on those but a plug in fan control acts as a dial.

Iv been using one of those for years. N I love it

I worried about it tearing up bennies in teas n such. But found a quote on the og biowar page saying that the atomizers will damage "some" of the bennies but "most" will survive the blasting.

*Also when over trimming w a buddy I commented on his sprayer n how well I liked mine...
He said he was told they were being banned for home use!!..
Not sure it it was just home grows only or if also for commercial setups. He said pump sprayers were the only legal option.?...

Also stating that it was bc the particle size is so small stuff gets into people's eyes as well as sticking around in the room long after spraying. Both floating in air and getting into room crevasses and other parts of homes...
It could jst b fear mongering in preperation of mor new regs and things like "the grow house bill" that died this winter.

Has anyone else found anything like this?
I never know whare to find all these NEW and seemingly constant changes to the regs.
Maby we.. I mean u Avi..;D could make a sticky for updates/changes and NEW co.Regs?..

Anyways. Fuck the limits and the "excessive"regs..
We already kno the best methods n safest practices so fuckem.
I don't plant to stop using mine...until I know more. Bc I do kno it kicks ass and uses nearly half as much time and liquid to get coverage like a champ.

Big ups respect and happy growing.

hey dude, you start a thread in colorado section and i will sticky it and post there :D
as for electric atomizer sprayer being illegal in home grows.... can't say for sure. i'd have to see it on paper, anecdotal only goes so far.

hello, i posted this in another thread on this topic as well. i am looking for help with these pictures. are these russet mites and eggs?

i had been spraying w a neem/canola oil mix which kind of burned them and then switched to rosemary/cin leaf/thyme/clove bud glycerine and lecithin mix which also seemed to clog them up but not as bad.

my last feed i used aspirin at 325 mg/2.5 gallons as plants are 4-6" (small). the aspirin treatment didn't seem to do much so next feed i will go stronger aspirin.

today while scoping i took these picts..

any help would be great. thnx..

M Pede soap?

M Pede soap?

Has anyone tried using an organic insecticidal soap like M-Pede?

I use it here on lots of bugs and it sure chases them away.

Personally I use a wetable sulfur instead of sulfur powders. Easier to apply and I can use less. Too much sulfur matures up the plant to fast.

I was wondering about what sulphur too use? @tessarecting I had 2 choices on liquid sulphur I believe both were from Bonide one was for fruit and vegetables and contained like .25% sulphur, the other was rated for fruit and nut trees, and contained 10% sulphur that's the one I purchased, maybe that was a silly decision but that's what I picked up. I haven't used it yet just wondering what you think? Also what your dosing would be and how often... Thanks in advance...
