End of Week 3......Am I on the Right Path?

Will raising the daylight time confuse them? Or does it not make any difference going from 18/6 to 23/1?

During vegetation you should be fine increasing the amount of light they receive in a day. During flower though, its best to not disturb their cycle at all, especially with sensitive genetics like diesel.

ok so maybe I'll up the daytime hours. I just added another 33 watt real 150w equiv. to the mix so that makes a total of 4 now. The package says that each lamp puts out 2090 lumens. So if there is 4 lamps does that number get added together to get the total amount or is it just 2090 all around? I also have a single bar 25 watt grow light in there as well so I'm hoping that just the extra will boost there growth. I also moved the lights closer so now they are about 3" max.

Cannivore what do you think I should do?

I'm not too smart on the technical stuff like calculating lumens, but for my small vegging box all I use is 60w CFL at about 6 inches away on a 24/0 light schedule. I can fit 8 plants in half gallon grow bags under the lights and it keeps my stuff just fine as they await my tent to be free of space.

When they're young plants a few CFL's will be fine. Seedlings and developing plants priority should be developing a healthy root mass. After 2 weeks or so that's when you should increase lighting.

Since you're growing plants that double-triple-quadruple in flower, its best to keep them small and then flower them. The hazes should be in small pots to help curb the growth rate that haze is known for (they'll continue growing for a month after you switch the cycle to flower). I'd flower them when they're fully healthy and around 7" to 10" (or when they have 5-6 internodes aka sets of leaves). Bend, pinch, and tie back branches to keep every thing at an even canopy (or try to). You're probably looking at 10 to 12 weeks flowering depending on the diesel (there's a lot of different cuts that float around - some go much earlier) and probably 11-13 week range for the haze to finish flowering. Hazes are also not heavy feeders in comparison to a sour diesel variety, keep the nutes low on them.

Here's a picture example of my shitty little vegging area lol. Two mother plants on the left (foliar spray residue on the leaves, not powdery mildew or anything), and some fresh rooted clones every where else (I'm new at this that's why they look a little scraggly lol)

Durring flower you will need a minimum of 50 actual watts per square foot of grow space, for veg you can get by with about half of that.

Wow man.... you helped me a bunch..... I've been stressing over all this technical BS and you've just showed me I need to take a step back and tune down to simplistic's. All I can say is your plants look great and I'm going to keep everything in perspective. I have my lights at light 3" should I raise them?

If you're dissipating the heat produced by the lights and they're not burning your plants (crispy discolored leaves or leaves that are canoeing/folding upwards like a taco shell) you should be good.

Thanks, I'm new to cloning ever since I started buying valuable seeds I wanted to keep around desirable plants I found so cloning is the way to go. This was a nug from a plant I just recently finished, I'm gonna be growing it again this time around.

Goodluck with those piff seeds, like I've said to you before that is a highly coveted strain that you don't really see too often on here.

wow that nugget is tasty lookin.....for sure. Wow if that is what came from that lady i'm all for it. When you clone how do you get the roots to grow and how do you know where to cut a clone off its mother?

Hi NYNebie'

Came by to see how your plants are making out. Did it work out for you?

Also to take a clone, you want to have like 5 nodes or so on it. Take the cut at a 45 degree angle the best you can and make that cut near a node that can be cut off to allow more surface area for water uptake. Then place that section into your rockwool cube. I was having a lot of trouble cloning myself and asked a few questions and now I feel pretty confident about it. Here is a link to the thread that helped me out. Hope it can help you. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=263905

Hope all is going well :)
