Wow. That was a great read! I'm assuming you wrote the article since you said you bred CTF.


I am extremely interested in sativa's myself and have started to hoard a stock.

This is a quote from that article:

"Types that go from glass clear to milky [like frosted glass]. With this type when you get 40 to 60% milky trichomes, new THC production is being produced at a lower rate than it is slowly degrading, this is the most psychoactive point for this type or variety, it will never produce true amber, instead when you get the oxidised THC starting to show, which is more of an amber brown but cloudy. With this type of var as soon as brown trichomes start appearing you know THC production is way over the top and declining rapidly, at this stage psychoactivity is also declining and the effect becomes more and more narcotic. You see this much more with genes that come from hash making type genetics or so called indicas. Its the same thing as fresh lightly pressed hash has a nice medium honey coloured look, but this very quickly starts to darken, becomes brown then black over time as the surface thc oil oxidises.

Real Amber trichomes only happen on a very few varieties (mainly sativa dominant), the order is clear, clear slightly pale yellow, ie [going amber], to clear red amber. [at all stages they remain jewel clear] "

I am slightly confused when the word 'psychoactive' is used. I looked up the definition online being "capable of affecting mental activity: a psychoactive drug"

Thank you ! yeppers I wrote it and yeppers it means trippyodelic

some say the early amber is a sign of more THCV (the trippy cannibanoid) but that has yet to be proven via any test that I know of?

So I woke up this morning and found I have that my buds got to big problem, this happens to me a lot lol why I use the cages in the first place. I have gone back a few weeks for perspective as you go thru the pics, keep your eye on the red cage top cola (tallest in 1st pic)

I'm moving out to Colorado myself halfway through next year and would hopefully like to find something like this out of a pack of seeds. I'm sure that would be very hard though..

I bring out the early amber with light timing and nutes (sulfur) so I look for it in every plant I grow

You'll love Colorado, it's great here and it's not as hard as you'd think

I don't doubt Co at all! Being in the nyc suburbs, not much can be harder in terms of living conditions, the fast mentality of having to rush everywhere and so on.
