Interesting. Anymore tricks up your sleeve?
Hello Riddleme. I am glad I found your thread.
I am young myself and haven't heard about this early amber gene, except for a very few amount of times. I am going to try to do some research on it.
May I ask the effects that it has? Also I am very curious the effects you are searching for. Sorry if I missed something.

Wow. That was a great read! I'm assuming you wrote the article since you said you bred CTF.
I am extremely interested in sativa's myself and have started to hoard a stock.
This is a quote from that article:
"Types that go from glass clear to milky [like frosted glass]. With this type when you get 40 to 60% milky trichomes, new THC production is being produced at a lower rate than it is slowly degrading, this is the most psychoactive point for this type or variety, it will never produce true amber, instead when you get the oxidised THC starting to show, which is more of an amber brown but cloudy. With this type of var as soon as brown trichomes start appearing you know THC production is way over the top and declining rapidly, at this stage psychoactivity is also declining and the effect becomes more and more narcotic. You see this much more with genes that come from hash making type genetics or so called indicas. Its the same thing as fresh lightly pressed hash has a nice medium honey coloured look, but this very quickly starts to darken, becomes brown then black over time as the surface thc oil oxidises.
Real Amber trichomes only happen on a very few varieties (mainly sativa dominant), the order is clear, clear slightly pale yellow, ie [going amber], to clear red amber. [at all stages they remain jewel clear] "
another quote:
Some strains, however, produce fresh resins that are transparent amber instead of clear and colorless, and these are often some of the most psychoactive strains.
I am slightly confused when the word 'psychoactive' is used. I looked up the definition online being "capable of affecting mental activity: a psychoactive drug"
I'm confused if that means trippy/psychedelic?
Over in this thread ( https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=278209 ) there are many in search of the infamous effect of trippy/psychedelic effect of certain sativa's.
Please excuse my inexperience and know I am trying my best to understand. Every time I read about any 'thunder fucks' I've only read positive. I would love a cut eventually when I get my own place. Until than, it's research time!

Hey Riddleme, I'm assuming your problem is that the plant is too tall? haha
This is one of my favorite threads to find updated!
So you don't do any pheno hunting from seeds to look for this early amber gene?
I'm moving out to Colorado myself halfway through next year and would hopefully like to find something like this out of a pack of seeds. I'm sure that would be very hard though..

Nice bud ! What's aroma like ?
And you're using any bloom booster on this one ?
