Do you know how the UVB output of your t5 bulbs compares to halides? I've used a Solarmeter 6.5 to check Hortilux sodium bulbs and their UVB output is negligible. However, the Solistek 10K's read 2-3 at 6 inches, which seems to be enough to have some effect on trichome development. It's still a lot less than UVB levels around the equator. I'm wondering if your bulbs put out more UVB than the Solisteks?

I do not have a meter, so my answer has to be no, I do not know?

Thanks, anyway. You have a system that works well without halides, so there's no reason I can see for you to be concerned about the relative UBV of t5s and halides. I'll have to acquire some reptile bulbs and test them myself.

My friend Lumi (that passed) had a meter hell it cost 6 grand (why I don't have one LOL) He tested lots of lights, including CMH which was supposed to have UV. It did not have enough to matter. The only bulbs that tested good were the ones I use (the ATI's) and the Arcadias (both T5's)

Lumi based his test on the UV found in the tropics and looked for lights that could emulate it, none of the cfl's or spots that he tested were adequate.

Well I have reached 5 and a half weeks of flower for the TE's today which is the half way mark for the grow since TE is a 9~10 week strain. Up to now I have shown you the flowering tops mostly, there was that flash shot of the main colas.

Hey Riddleme your pictures and insight are nothing short of incredible!!!!!!
This might be a silly question but you're using an 8 lamp T5 HO fixture and 4 different types of lamps correct, is there a particular order when you're installing lamps in the fixtures.
I just can't picture you throwing lamps in any old way.
Also is there an on line site where you can buy all the lamps in one shot?

I use an 8 bulb fixture for veg and 3, 6 bulb fixtures for flower. and yeppers I am using 4 different bulbs and am anal about how they are placed LOL In this current grow I replaced 2 of the 4100K GE's with ATI Corals (making a toal of 5 of em) In the next grow I am gonna replace 2 of the Plantmax 6500K bulbs with Corals (note the Corals do have a red spike in em) because I will be doing several land race sats and I believe the extra blues will help to tame them.

I buy my bulbs locally from 3 different stores so I am not aware of any web sites that carry all of em ?
