Far as I know the AJ cut is supposed to be more pure fuel and ecsd has the lemon funk. I know there's some confusion and a whole lot of fake sour cuts.
The cut I'm talking about is the one true ecsd. This is the cut I run and the lemon profile has been mentioned by several people early on in this thread, including the op Chaco himself. So, if your cut doesn't have it then either you are just not picking up on it or you may not have a legit cut of ecsd.

I'm definitely talking about legit ecsd, I don't get lemons personally...not in comparison to what I personally consider lemony anyways(previously mentioned a couple examples)...smell is like 40% diesel fuel, 40% roadkill/skunks ass 20% sour milk...for me, taken at 77-84 days always....
I suppose if the lemon is there it's not distinct enough for me personally to even attribute it to a description of smells, if I were to include it in the description I'd probably emphasize it's subtle presence...but then again I'm a certified "lemon weed" hater, so I cringe at the thought of that dirty word being connected to something I enjoy so thoroughly! LOL
like I said though, not worth debating...different palates I suppose

Pictures from the Diesel in question. A pungent baby for sure!! After plucking a few fan leaves with my thumb and fore finger there was an odor of garlic stink on those digits. The fuel comes out when squeezed. But that lemon bite is there.
Got this lovely vixen back again after ten years. Going to be a fuel stained Christmas.

I have a sour ibl. don't have the details on the lineage, so idk if its a back cross project, or selfed or what, but its a resin producing, bud producing beast. but the up front aroma on this cut is lime. very nld, n weak branchy stretch to her.

I do not know the exact lineage. It is a Sour Diesel obtained a bagseed personally in a unit from Lake County outdoor Sour Diesel crop from 2012. Found a lonely soldier. Kept her stored and the current pics are from round two of flowering. She streatches like the dickens and has trichomes that scratch you. Smells like skunk-diesel-earthy. Smokes heavy- expands-has sweet lemon exhale hints. Leaves a burn that makes one feel as if taking shots!
She likes to foxtail. Mostly at areas of higher light concentration.
I think there must be a couple ECSD cuts that float around, some being better than others. I recently traded a cut from my garden for what is supposedly the AJ cut and she is nothing special, IMO. Of course all things are relative. She may be special to someone who hasn't been popping beans from reputable breeders for the last decade.

Ok so the pictures I posted above are my 2 girls I got from shop where I live. I was gonna do outdoor but lighting is crap in my yard with the trees and fences. only get about 12 hours sunlight before all in shade like evening lol. This is my first grow. Started putting out at 6 am and bringing in at 6pm to put under the 600w I have. Not to sure if this is bad for them but seemed to do really good for them. They are now 5 weeks old. I brought them in full time and put on timer last week after 30 days. Should I top them soon? Reading this thread I see that SD stretches a lot. In last picture I just got done supercropping them. Seems that these plants are really healthy. after 2 hours everything was sticking up straight again. Using foxfarm nutes, silica blast. Getting things as I go. Plan on building a room. Just have in bedroom right now with door open for swamp cooler. Any tips for these two beauties would be appreciated
I got an ECSD clone a while back, I haven't flowered it out yet to know 100% sure it's legit although from what I know it looks like it is indeed the real thing. It eats like a pig and takes a while to root. Any resident ECSD experts want to give me a little feedback on it being yay or nay?
