this thread was founded by Chaco. real stand out guy, and real master grower, he also didnt take best pics, but you can clearly see it is diesel on his pics.. never behaved like some master, but always like good fellow.. not like this poser who ruined everything he touched.. you have to have talent for it to ruin things like this. do you want to ruin something? call Hazacious and he will ruin it for you in few minutes.. so let look at it closer.. he crossed sour diesel(let say he got real deal one) with 5hz, what is wrong with that? nothing in principle.. but what is wrong how he did it.. he ruined ecsd(in case it was not fake one - who believes that? without some normal pic, nobody can judge it), ruined ecsd bag appeal, and probably made taste blandish too, because 5hz is one of the most bland tasting weed ever.. so ruined diesel, let still want to call it diesel or something.. now Chaco made similar cross, but he is master, so he knows how to do it. he selected incredible neville´s haze male(something what our poser are not able to do..) and hit real deal sour deez.. every plant had great bag appeal, had loud deez terps and smoked better than Neville´s haze.. that is what I call work! so you wannabe breeder and notorious poser about nothing.. look at it, how it should look.. watch and learn from Icmag legends before you post anything and call it work LOL especially in this thread, everybody who came here with fake diesel got kicked out, we keep this thread clear in respect of Chaco, real man! Whatever dude, your taste in weed is like tunnel vision, thanks for posting that same pic again, looks beautiful for an OG...I mean Diesel. I see you are trying to build consensus by bringing other people who aren't involved into it. Chacos cut looks like the real old school diesel to me. Those of us in the know understand that you have to smoke the weed before you judge it. I chose those cuts for effect not for bag appeal, nevertheless they look pretty good in the bag, now that we have this new invention called scissors.
Never heard Chaco insulting other people's work, or Nevil, maybe that's because he knows there would have been no Diesel without Nevil.

Before it became the "chaco cut" it was just straight up ECSD and it was around for well over a decade before the name got attached to it.

Then it kind of just became a tag used to give legitimacy to the cut ppl had.

There was a grower here that was from NY that grew some of the best ECSD I've ever seen. It's a hard cut to grow but meltingpot, whodair, crazycomposer, mister postman and of course chaco were crushing it with this cut in 05-2010.

I used to love seeing their pictures of the ecsd

It became Chaco's cut cause Chaco passed it out freely...And made this thread, no mystery to it.At that time Rez was doing his S.D. work and lot's of diesel hybrids were popping up everywhere so Chaco's name became attached to it to differenciate from the others
The true ECSD (chaco's) is finicky and stacks calyx's so it looks kinda dready after dry and cure the calyx's de attach from the stalk so you wind up with lots of budlet's instead of big buds so bag appeal isn't the best...It's very gassy with skunky and citrus notes to it...Here it is...

For me the giveaway is the small rounded single leaf blade that pops out of a calyx bract as she stacks


I havent seen that trait on the hybrids or on the chems ...

Yeah that's the trend....cancel culture knows no boundaries.
Growing out Chacos cut along side Karma's Sowahh at the moment just for kicks.....plus peeps cant get enough.
My half gallon jar was full of the Sowahh 3 weeks ago,funny I haven't seen the whites of my wife's eyes in 3 weeks ,and my Mason jar is almost empty...hmm

Chaco's cut is the foundation for Karma's gear I haven't had Karma's version of sour
Rez's ibl has some good pheno's too I think Karma may have used one of those in there too...
Karma's og hybrids are top notch tho.So chances are his sowahh should be proper sour.

Before AJ ,and before Chaco, there was only “sour D“ that’s it ... simple...That’s what it was known in my area of Central new York sour diesel sour diesel....Nobody claimed it as her own it was just sour diesel and it was tightly held 2006 2007 because people were making a lot of money off her back then...She was a real special cut and I had her...

That's right, same story as OG, the man I got my OG lines from up in Arcata has been holding his cut since 98. Back then there was no Tahoe or Ghost etc, it was just OG, and cats were getting up to 6k an elbow for it in LA.

Same dude I got my Diesel and Chem from. He had ecsd and wcsd, I took the the ecsd, even though he said most people prefer west coast because it's a lot easier to grow, heavier etc, because I got family in New York and I used to smoke the sour back in the day, would have got both but there was too much other stuff I needed at the time.

Yeah, I miss mine too, it always brings back memories of another era. The crosses are really nice, but not quite the same. Of all my high thc cuts that's the one I would get back if I could.

Lot's of people here say otherwise...I personally ran Rez Alpha Diesel and got 2 keepers in one pack of beans...Certainly never found a keeper in any thseeds gear...Jus saying
