UPDATE IN BOLDHi Guys and Gals!!

I'm back at the mag after a bit of a respite from growing, but now I;m BACK!!! and happy to be so...

I'm moving my grow thread to the Outdoor section since the Grow Diaries are DEAD and these are the kind of people I want to hear feedback from

Here's a shot from 7-18-2015 garden is looking good so far, i pray everyday the ganja gods allow me to harvest these girls :)

This POST is from 5-17-2015

I will be running most of these clones outdoors in a modified supersoil in smartpots ranging from 20-45 gal., (i will be doing an update on my soil mix soon) but for now they are all crammed under a 4'x2' 4tube flouro system until the beginning of june when they will be brought outside (trying to get em well established since i wont be able to visit the girls daily)

Here's a shot of the whole garden atm, you can see there really crammed in there, they got some serious airflow going though so temp and humidity all look good...

The strains i'll be running this year are all from clones sourced localy in the S.F. Bay Area at clubs (mostly Harborside and Magnolia Wellness, ect..) and are mostly from well known nursureys (DHN, Burning Bush, QB, Midnight Farms, Medical Organics, ect..)

So far the list shakes out like this...

Dark Heart:
Tahoe OG (FIRE OG CLONE, best yielding og cut for outdoor ive ran, better thn fire og ime), GG4, Plat. Cookies, Chernobyl

Burning Bush:
Key Lime Pie (Cookies pheno)

Wish Clones:
Banana Kush (terrible clone for outdoors, heavy indica influence and purple'd up nicely before harvest, but this was the only plant i lost 50% to mold to due the indica-ness)

Midnight Farms:
Fire OG (favorite og but sooo viney, not a great outdoor yielder and the out version is definitely not close to indoor fire og, not running again ime)
Jesus OG (not my favorite clone selection, very fruity flavor, company has since stopped vending this cut, Jack Herer x Hells angels OG)
Arcata Trainwreck (grown before, pretty viney also, norcal staple, grows slowly and doesnt branch out very much unless topped, early finish and great menthol funky loud buds)
Sour Strawberry (Strawberry Cough x Sour D.)

Super Kutz:
XJ-13 (Oaksterdam clone)
Pre98 Bubba Kush
BlackJack (Jack Herer x Black domino)
KK's Strawberry Cough

Medicinal Organics:
Cookie Frost (Cookies x Plat. Cookies)

Oaksterdam:
Agent Orange
Sour D.

GSC Forum Cut

.. and there's prob. a few im missing, in the next week or so you might see the list change a bit

you can see in my previous grow diary's ive ran some of these strains before so I somewhat know what to expect...

I start to explain everything through updates these next few weeks as i get the outdoor plot ready and these girls fattened up, should be an interesting month!

And as always I'm only putting this diary up so the community can enjoy and critique my grow, it aint no fun if the homie's dont get none...

So if you have any experience with the clones im growing please share your knowledge..

NOW LETS GET TO THE PICS....

POST from 5-24-2015 but mix is current, used what i had around will knock off a few next batch which will be later this week

Time for an update...

today i was able to mix my soil and start the cooking process, VERY HAPPY :)

this was my first time using organic "super" soil recipe and it was sure ALOT of work mixing everything..

below is my soil recipe, i ended up making x8 this batch, everything sourced from Home depot or the hydro store makes about 300-400 gallons of soil (haven't done the math)... and it was less than $1000 for everything, including buying x20 smart pots, and a few other goodies for my indoor, considering i can reuse the dirt, I'm happy with the money spent...

Base:
spag. Peat, roots organic original or 707, worm castings (great top dress), chunky perlite

Amendments: (*UPDATE* next time every amendment i use will be 6 cups)
Oyster shell powder
happy frog 5-5-5 (will drop next time)
blood meal 12-0-0
fish bone meal 3-16-0
half ej rainbow mix bloom/grow (will drop next time)
azomite
lime (will drop next time)
humic ore (will drop next time)
Crab Meal
steer manure
(good topdress)
alfalfa
high N guano 9-3-2
gypsum
Epson salt (will drop next time)
sub-B (will drop next time)
sub-m (will drop next time)
mykos (will drop next time, only for transplant)
diatamacous earth
insect frass (good shit as top dress)
high P guano

also added couple hand fulls of water holding crystals in case the drought is really bad :p

Notice how small the perlite on the right is to the perlite on the left, it because i through some left over ProMix HP in with my mix next to the FF Chunky perlte, the chunky on the left, promix on the right... i know which one ill be picking up next time... CHUNKY

and here's the finished product watered with 5 gal. RO water and wrapped to hopefully start the cooking/activation process over the next month.... always wrap your soil so bugs dont start to colonize, they like some of our goodies...

I'll try and get an update of all the plants also, they've been transplanted into 1 gal pots from beer cups so hopefully they should start to bulk up, fed w/ EWC ACT, will start to train them also, will do an update on my veg.training process next... STAY TUNED..

Here's a FIRE OG from Midnight Farms, grown this before, can confirm this is legit fire og, so viney, such a pain but sooo fire... any ideas?

and here's the new "OG" on the block.. Tahoe OG from Darkheart Nursery.. This thing in comparision is super vigerous and strong, thich stem which leads me to think this is indeed not real Tahoe og (maybe cali connect pheno w/ improved vigor?) I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR ANYONES THOUGHTS ON THIS, the only thing that makes me think there might be some OG in her is she does like her CaMag ALOT

3day veg

2 week veg w/ lst

POST from 5-17-2015

Now for some bondage and early veg shots...

I've been placing rooted clones into plastic party cups for about a week or two and then on to 1 gal. pots for another couple of weeks before i plant them into there final containers outdoors..

This is my first outdoor grow but far from my first indoor one so any advice is appreciated :)

I had a few issues that every rusting grower encounters... first the clones were given plain RO water which caused some CaMg def. as you can see, and i also got the clones stems to turn all the way purple once i transplanted into soilmix, some of the plants got burnt from the soil being too hot, i since cut the soil w/ promix which seems to be better....

So first off we have a Pre98 Bubba kush being transplanted from a party cup to a 1gal. pot, as you can see the roots are pretty well ready for the 1 gal., i wouldn't call this rootbound, would you?

I like to sprinkle a bit off Mykos in the hole where i transplant, and always make sure to inspect the rootball at this time.. watch for bugs or anything unsual

Next, we have another Pre98 Bubba kush thats been vegging for acouple weeks, just recently transplanted and started to LST her, she grows with ONE main stalk and ZERO side branching, and with these SUPER WIDE indica leaves im pretty confident this pre98 is legit.. We'll see if we have to top her to get the branches to shoot up but id rather not

Here's some Banana kush from Wish Clones LST'd 2 week veg..

And a BlackJack freshly transplanted, i've never ran this strain and its looking really SATIVA'y, im nervous bout putting her outdoor..

I buried the smart pots 2/3 in native clay soil, i ammended the bottom with gypsum and my supersoil so hopefully roots will grow through, the black pots can get up to 150 degrees on hot days... not good..

also i built a bamboo fence around my 15x15 plot to break the wind up and provide some security... 2 hours and $100 at home depot, the piece of mind is priceless.... and always have your scripts posted... fully complaint baby :)

then did a layer of weed fabric on the inside to make it see through and break up the wind even more..

POST from 7-3-15

Hey guys sorry for the lack of updates, been busy getting security measures set up, holes dug, plants transplanted, ect..

I have ALOT of pics stored on my cam but need to wait for a good time to upload (damn data plans) so far i have 9 plants in 45 gal smart pots and will be moving the final 3 over in a couple days..

and an act of god happend and took my GG4 away from me :( will need to resource that one forsure, if it was still around it would be going in that final hole without question....

EDIT: here's some pics to hold you guys over... still need to adjust them since some of the garden shots are upside down (sorry!)

garden shot

as you can see i built a bamboo fence around my plot to keep prying eyes away once they start smelling skunky, SUPER EASY, got 7 6ft. metal posts, and a 45' x 6' roll of bamboo, already had a roll of thin shade/weed cloth and put it all up in under 2 hours... PRICELESS (you can see how low the fence is in the back)

and heres a banana kush at 20 days since transplanted into 45gal.

aLSO i decided to bury the smart pots 2/3 of the way into native clay soil, i ammended it with a good amount of Gypsum and a shovel or two of my peat soil mix its only about 8'' of decent soil under the smart pot (hopefully roots will grow through the bottom and into the native soil) and then i fill the sides with my airy peat mix also, should keep temps down/ save water and give the roots access to more soil if they REALLY want it...

Also i decided to load up the garden with the OGKush FIRE cut 3 of the 12 plants will be these finiky ladies, hard as hell to grow and clone but no other clone ive found gives you that REAL LEMON FUEL smell that OGK is known for, grown it indoors for years (since 2011, check gallery) and its always super viney so we will see how she does outdoors, ive seen some pics online of some MONSTER FIRE OGK bushes in nor cal, seems like she gets better with the support once she gets a bit bigger, the beasts i saw didnt have tht super viney structure, who knows coulda been fake fire og....

Lookin good. Is that worm gold plus? that stuff is the shit thats what we use

yeah using it as a top dress is awesome, the chitin content of it is awesome, making it a wonderful pesticide, literally melts the shells of mites and soil pests, you dont get that with wiggle worm or the other EWC companyies ive seen, the ONLY EWC i will use... hands down...

same thing with insect frass and crab meal, high in chitin

Here's some goodies I got at the grow store, organics is way cheaper then those bottled nutes, and a Bubba kush with the second and final cage on it, only thing left is the netting, :)

Got a lot done this weekend, only 4 plants need to be caged and 2 s.art pots buried and it's fully planted, then it's only foliar, watering, green taps and cleaning

I look forward to seeing this grow from you. I have two of the cuts you have Chernobyl and Platinum GSC. I'm interested in seeing how they both do outdoors. Is the Platinum GSC growing slowly outside? That cut was the slowest growing plant I've ever encountered lol would love to be able to grow like this outdoors. One day I'll have the privilege great thread bro can't wait to see them turn into beasts for you

Update Time!!!!

Garden pics are from 7-12-2015, looking good, hope they start bulking up before flowering..

Here's a nice garden shot...

Pre-98 Bubba Kush, double caged and growing like a beast, shouldnt stretch much during flower though..

Tahoe OG from Dark Heart, spoke to a friend today who is harvesting this same clone now, he approves, good OG flavor ad decent yielder, prob from Cali Connect gear though def. NOT the REAL tahoe OG clone

And finally, my FAVORITE cut in the garden (got 3 of em) FIRE OG, been growing it for almost 10 years now and NEVER get sick of it, first time outdoor though, bugs love it :(

On with the pics!...

another goodie i picked up was this....

Inferno OG seeds (Fire OG x (Blueberry x Granddaddy Purple)) I'll be looking to flower a promising male from the pack ASAP, if i can i will keep females to grow properly but im really doing this for the male pollen, i plan to hit ALL my strains this year on the bottom buds to make 20-50 seeds per plant (hopefully it doesnt get out of control), I saw a VERY well known breeder at Harborside clone counter and he refused to even sell his male pollen, this shit is SUPER valuable and i can see why breeders dont give it up lightly, funny cause shit like this makes me more determined to make seeds, like what, i cant join the club! FUCK THAT i'm doing it...

Now back to plant pics,,,, and ill be documenting how and when i do my pollinating...

another Fire OG

Banana kush (ogkush x banana)

cookie frost (platinum cookies x girl scout cookies)

and heres some goodies i picked up at the grow store... grow supplies porn... mmmm good...:woohoo:

acouple new additions are Ful-power (fulvic acid for foliar) and California Humus (wood chip based humus that KICKS ASS!) and picked up some organic spinosad for the damn leafminers eating my tops...

I'm trying out the Hi-brix instead of Blackstrp but i already dont like it, its sulphurated,,, not good for microlife and AACTs from what ive heard...

then theres the Neem seed meal, that shit is gold! i prob use WAYYY too much but i top dress it like crazy for organic IPM

and the black bag is Vital Kelp its like MAxicrop but its a wayyy better variety of Kelp and is processed a different way also making it superior.. if u can get Baseline nutes GET THEM!

Is the DHN Platinum the small plant in the first pic all the way at the back left? I'm dying to see what outdoors does for her. Looks like the big ball of fire is doing her much better than indoor. All the plants look great and healthy as can be. Can't wait to see these finish

I love the simplicity of your grow! I'm switching my indoor over from the earth juice line to T.L.O grow. Is this your first time using super soil?
