A friend got me started a few years back.. he's no longer doing so. We have Medical here awaiting it's effective date.. but still no patient grow. I'v hesitated putting it out there to a few people who "might".. dont need the BS at my age.

Thought about attending a local chapter meeting/event of an org such as NORMAL. That'd involve heading into the city.. another idea I'm not fond of. :)

I'v been visiting the local hydro shop over the last few years.. do I dare ask them to hook me up with like minded clientel? Another route that makes me hesitate..

Organize an east coast BBQ?!

why not just attend one of the many weekly events happening and make some new friends?
weekly meet ups and farmers market style med eventsin Maine, and RI and lots of social things in Mass happening.

there were hundreds of people at the Boston Cannabis Society party tonite at the Pro Verde lab in Milford, Mass.

free admission and everyone got two free drink tickets for the bar, big vape area with terp tasting and smoking flowers outside in the cold.

they raffled off a bunch of flowers and clones, tried to give them some seed packs but they had too much stuff and didn't want any more.

I was smoking out people who had never heard of clone onlys before.

gave away beans to some stoners who were in their 70's and homegrowers.

it was cool getting a tour of their labs and extraction facility. crazy big event though with a really different crowd.

so many consultants giving out their cards and offering "genetics", lol.

while i never been to proverde other then testing or getting some oil made. in general isnt it overwhelming at somepoint?. i feel that the last 6-12 months here it has turned into a salesman game. like all the mortgage brokers since the fall out since have moved into the cannabis industry.

being from new england, an 4 or so years ago when i went to the cannabis cup in denver, i knew it was changing.... but still odd feeling right now.

It would be overwhelming to me if I tried to go to it all. still waiting on my med card from the state so there's a bunch of med events I have not even tried to attend yet like the Shesh that's happening 3 times a week in Providence. There's a med club open daily there too that I want to see as well as visit the dispensaries and smoke report their gear.

one is claiming to have Arcata Trainwreck and I'm dying to see if that's true, they won't be able to take my money fast enough to get my hands on that again.

what did they charge you for oil making?

they told me they only run 10 ounce batches for med patients, no recreational.

they have an extractor in a truck that they drive to Vermont and Maine to process large quantities where the laws allow it.

it's all CO2 though and they don't winterize so it didnt sound too interesting to me in that respect.

the hydrocarbon extractions I've seen coming from the maine lab along with the crystalline CBD and THCa are what I'd be interested in.

I'm curious who all is getting the testing done there, they said they had over 400 samples waiting to be run still Friday when they closed.

I have been planning on using the other lab when I can afford it because I like that they put all their data online for everyone to see.

ProVerde keeps it all behind a firewall.

I liked the place and the owner but being able to compare your results against others is the most valuable thing to get out of the money spent on the tests.

for example on MCR's website you can compare the terp profiles of 3 different chemdawgs that are all in the low 30's but have very different profiles.

I like seeing the results of growers pheno hunts, how different seeds perform and also the huge variety of results on strains like glue that so many people are growing.

I can also see how the clones that I've spread are testing.

This "So called Extractor Truck" produces some of the grossest low quality C02 pens and Oil I have actually tasted in the 207. People with no clue about Cannabis trying to capitalize off a plant that was put on this earth for everyone.

Damn, I would have maybe liked to have gone.

I've been to the Sesh before, I won the oil raffle they had-and it came with a rig too! Gonna try to get to the Tetrahydro Club for a Frydaze soon, my buddy vends some of his stuff there.

Is Proverde the best place around to get something tested?

I can't wait to go to an event and bring some of my flowers and concentrates and see how they stack up against everyone else's. I'm kinda in a bubble where nothing around me is even in the same category as what I can grow and extract.

I'd like to attend an event or two, I'm a bit south of that area though. Where do I find events listed for the 215 area? :tiphat:

I don't know, Pro Verde has always seemed legit to me, spent many an hour getting to know the fellas chilling up at Harry Brown's. And the CO2 extract they produce is far from gross. Was the best oil that I tasted at the homegrown expo for sure.
