Easiest way to make hash! Quick Wash ISO!

my stuff snap and can be handled very easy i made a batch to have a little when my hmk slide comes in..i also got a roor for it.. this is from denmakr and is green label. ti seems very think for a bong much thicker than my hand blown pyrex or red eye bongs of the same size.

def a tko product.. im testing all my recipes.. i used to do alot of bubble but no like oil.. gonna try a proper bho setup next.. ive been testing on a few zippers from the summmer bounty.. once i figure out which method gives most yeild and best product ill sick with it and try it with some general good stuff thats going around.
if bho can give me a same potent product but a little more yeild ill be really pleased

So last nights attempt was a success i used a very small amount of bud, about 1.5 grams and got back enough to smear on my buds for two bowls, i haven't been stoned like that since i first started smoking, it was a very intense full body stone, narcotic feeling, loved every second of it. Really wishing i had more. But I'm very pleased with the final product. I washed my grinded up buds twice, once for 15 seconds then again for 20 seconds, the first wash left me a golden brown oil and the second a bit darker. Will be doing this again with a larger quantity of bud at some point

first attemt with some ak47 buds and got nice caremel splodge but it does not seem to go hard and when i smoke it tastes like chemicals what have i done wrong. what does it usaly taste like?

BHO is just better..same yields,same potency...iso just strips way too much off the plant and makes oil dirty, esp. if you dont do it right...BHO is more forgiving in that respect...iso makes BHO look like a painin the ass..plus it takes too long for iso to boil off..

Ran through this thread and found out that one could theoretically use vodka for the extraction... It usually has a low alc% though so the evaporation time should just be longer?

they sell vodka with 80% alc in it where I live and I can't seem to find the "proper" ISO anywhere... Am I good to go with the 80% vodka? Is there a difference between the isopropyl alcohol(isopropanol?) and ethanol when it comes to extracting trichs?

Hi teerull,
water is not indeffirent to extraction, the less the better,

To make anhydrous ethanol (or anhydrous anything just about)

1. Bake or microwave MgSO4 (epsom salts) until all the moisture is gone
2. Grind up into a fine powder
3. Add to solvent, shake around (cant add too much)
4. pour ethanol through filter to yield 98%+ pure ethanol

so you would bake the epson salts, crush, mix with water, strain through filter, then use that liquid mixture to shake around with trim as you would iso alc? thanks for the clarification

Is Everclear available in your area? I have heard good things about using it instead of ISO.

I want to give it a try but haven't yet since it costs so much more than ISO.

If I couldn't get ISO though...I would definitely buy the Everclear.

I have noticed that the alcohol drains very slowly through the coffee filter, is there any other kind of filter to use that drains quicker. And is it ok to let the alcohol just sit there and drip until its all filtered through? The alcohol isnt sitting in any leaf material at this point its been strained through some mesh. Will it degrade any if left for an hour or so to finish dripping?

cheese cloth works the best for draining. or a flower bag will work too. check in the baking supplies part of your local grocer

then i do a coffee filter and i put a little in and push it through by closing the top and squeezing.

I have tried this but when my iso was all dry it left a whiteish substance on the plante along with the hash oil. I think it could be the white filth people say is left on the coffee filter. Maybe bye squezeing it out its not being filtered correctly?
