nice, thanx for the quick reply
yes reheat it
It's actually whatever anybody wants to call it.Very nice looking oil , but it is not hash . wish folks would get it right.
To make hash you use NO solvents, hash is made by siffting or by bubble bags or ice water. But its not made by using iso or bho .Oil is but not hash .
oh snap!!!
It is sticky because it's pretty pure, though some guys add dry sift/kief and make jelly hash. it's a less pure end result IMHO though.
I'm gonna try it with denatured alcohol, if you get the pure stuff from home depot there are no solvents left, the good and bad stuff all evaporate around the same temperature anyway. I don't know if it's cheaper yet though...
What I can't stand is the stickyness, I can't handle it out the freezer
I read somewhere on here from a member that the process using ISO is polymerization I believe and to complete the process it should be hard in the end and break apart like rock candy. If your finding that its too sticky then cook it longer. Watch it and move it around to one pile moving it back and forth not letting it get too hot but at the same time letting it cook out the ISO. I made the mistake of not cooking it all the way and it was very sticky and too bendable. Cooked it a little bit longer on the pyrex pie plate and I got it to the rock hard form after it cooled. You dont want to get it rock hard on the plate, just to the thickness of some heated up 1/2-3/4 melt hash. Then remove from the heat source and scrape together and form as it cools.
I'm about to harvest several plants, and was wondering if it is necessary to dry the trim beforehand. Any input would be stellar.
