This is my current outdoor grow of sensi seeds Durban. 2 females grown from seed. totally organic grow. Soil mix contains organic potting mix, perlite, WCs Compost and mychorrhizal fungi. Liquid organics used are "Cultivator Plus", "Seasol" seaweed extract, and "Worms Work" liquid worm castings.

The first pic is of "Plant B" which responded to longer dark period a while later than "Plant A", and is consequently less mature. It has a weaker smell also, but denser bud structure and good trichome production.

The second two pics are budshots of the specimen I will refer to as "Plant A" which is faster flowering, has long fat fluffy buds and a mouth-watering complex, fruity, and somewhat sour aroma.

I will post regular updates with pics in this forum, and everyone is welcome to hang out and share.

Very nice pics!

I wish I had the room to grow Durban. Got a cab though so I stick with smaller strains.

Sauce - You can grow Durban in a closet with the righ training for sure. Its a "compact sativa". Specially if you use cuttings (that way you can train them down right from the base) I am growing 2 cuttings from the pheno in the macros in a cab at the moment. I think they would be great in a scrog because its branchy and would streatch well to fill a screen.

SCF- the sensi seeds version is just called Durban. They dont say if its pure or not, I would assume it has a small amount of Sk #1 in it, (perhaps 12.5%) and its not a pure IBL.

Can anyone suggest how much longer I should let "Plant A" (the lower 2 macro pics) flower before I harvest? It has been in flower roughly from Mid Jan. (growing in Adelaide South Australia)
By the looks of it, it has a few more weeks to go. Can you get a microscope? Checking the color of the trichs is always the best way to tell if they are finished. By the way your plants are looking great.

Well here is another update on the grow. The Durban is packing on weight at a steady rate and the pictured pheno appears to be a decent yielder with long fat and dense buds. I hope everyone enjoys these pics as much as me.

yea I know what you mean, the backdrop of the garden is awesome compared to an indoor grow room or cab.

here are some macros of cured buds from my stash. Its sensi "Mexican Sativa" which is Mexican x Durban/Hashplant. It is very nice quality smoke, from my last years outdoor grow, 100% organic. These buds are almost a year old.

The Mexican Sativa is really a good quality smoke for such a cheap breeders pack (its only 14 Euros for 16 seeds). All my friends loved it. It does finish very early for a sativa, but dont expect a very heavy harvest.

Here are another couple of pics of the mexican for ya.

I dont really know what altitude but its not much above sea-level. The mexican was grown at a somewhat higher altitude.

Durban loves the UVB you know, and i'm sure they're getting plenty of that over there in south oz. does wonders for the potency.

ever tried Malawi Gold?

good work, keep it up.

whats up SatGhost? Yea the UV light here really enhances the canabinoid profile. I havent tried Malawi, but I have read good things about this strain. I am interested in African sativas as I think most of them would do really well in SA. Can you post some pics of Malawi if you have some?

sorry, i don't have any Malawi pics. check out Afropips in the vendor forums, his gallery has some pics, but his plants are grown indoors. all of his stock is based on Malawi Gold.

Malawi Poison (MG x DP) is something extra special. i think afropips has it but i can't speak on their behalf, i would just do the cross myself.

The Malawi Poison does sound like a good cross, but I personally wouldnt buy Afropips seeds because he hasnt been around for very long, and there is still not much info on the genetics. I tend to stick with the big name breeders as they have the facility to undertake breeding projects with large populations and are more likely to have fresh seeds. Having said that its probably a kick ass strain.

good point ezra. i havn't heard of any reputable grower that has grown out afropips stock. you'd expect newcomers who rate their genetics as highly as he does, to at least hand out a few seeds.
