Would it be possible to use a window air condition unit for a fan and to cool a cab this size?
Because instead of using the Stanley blower, I'll just use something a little more quieter.

sure anything is possible the measurements for the a/c are small enough but wouldnt be very stealth if thats a issue. i could see it now that cab with a window rattler stickin out of it but i gurantee it would be coooooooooold inside

Mmm... I like this Lowes unit. I'd like to go hydro (probably ebb n' flow) and do both veg and flowering on different sides of the same box if it makes sense. I can handle cloning and maintaining a mother elsewhere.

Ideally, I'd like to use my existing grow lights. My veg/flower collection consists of 1x 400W MH and 1x 400W HPS. Assuming that I do keep the divider in place... would concentrating 400W into half of that box be practical? Or, would it just be wasteful?

How fast would I need to remove/replace the air to avoid producing an oven during the hours that they'd run at the same time? (Or, is that even a concern considering that there'd be a wooden wall between the two sides?) I'd place this unit in a spare bedroom which has reasonable ambient temperatures all year round (via an in-room radiator and window air conditioner).

i bought the same cab had a 400w in a air cooled hood and a 4inch carbon scrubber tucked above the hood. i removed the center devider cut out most of the top shelf left some for stability hung my hood scrubber few fans and house 10 - 2 gal grow bags n/p. i used the stanely blower fan modded http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=29341 i exhausted the light into the attick pulled air from outside cab through hood into attick. the carbon scrubber had a 95 cfm blower fan for it, temps in my cab stayed 82-83 1ft below 400w hps light. lights run at night my summers get 110+ easy the cab provided some great nugs now i have a new 5x7 closet and a loaner 1k in a cooltube hooked upto my stanely . in my sugar shack grow log you'll see my trail's and tribulations with the cab, i started with a loaned 400w self contained ballast and went to the air cooled hood and remote ballast 400w hps. hood carbon scrubber fit nicely together when my light was raised all the way i had 40inch from bottom of hood to cabs floor. that cab is great for indica dom strains sativa doms may have height issues

how much did you yield, average? i'm pretty much doing the exact same thing, except with DWC buckets.
