dual cab str8 from lowes.

Hi all I was just wondering if anybody has used this cabinet from lowes looks like it would be good for a dual cab plus the top shelf to store ballast and things like that. I know its a particle board pos but...with some caulking the corner to keep water out off the bare wood it might hold up. any feed back would be helpfull I have a 250 hps and a air cooled 400 hps THANKS.

For personal consumption, it looks perfect, put the 400 on the right side. On the left side, take out the bottom shelf and use the 250 for vegging your clones and keeping a mother. The other shelf that wasn't taken out, can house clones that are rooting. Then the very top shelf can house your fans and ballasts, maybe some nutrients and meters as well. have your intakes at the bottom of each side, seal the doors well with weather stripping and vent out the back of the cab on the top. Make sure there is negative air pressure and vent into an appropriately sized carbon filter.

Sounds like a box of weed.

i would think probably 2-4 depending on size of containers used roughly 24" wide for flower room x 20" im seriously considering one of these

You can get two of them and connect them. Just remove the back on the one and the doors on the other. You can double your space with it.

If I walked into your house and looked at 2 cabinets back to back, I'd kinda look at you weird and start asking questions... not very stealth (if that was the intention).

no body that is a threat should ever be near your grow in the first place

But in the end, NO ONE should be near the grow area.

I grew in one of these cabs for close to 2 years w/ a 400 watt and some flouros for veg.

The first thing I did was redesign the cab to give me more flower space. I used a single 265 cfm blower to vent the cab, it was more than plenty to do the job, I would look into using a fan speed controller if your going for stealth b/c it will be a bit noisy w/ all the vibrations and air moving.



I had to cut the particle board for everything to fit right in the cab, so make sure you do some measurements twice if you plan on going w/ another design than the one they give you.





You'll need a way to keep the door shut and stay shut.

well if they can, then you made the first mistake right there.

If the room is locked, a person can not enter with out breaking in. And if they are doing that, then they must have already broke into your house as you would not let them in the house in the first place

For the fan

What i did for my last fan grow was to put a hole into the ceiling. I ran the ducking up in to the atic and hooked up my fan there.
I then put the fan into a rubbmaid with a hole on each side for the ducking.
The fan in the middle on a layer of r19 installation. then covered with even more. I pop on the lid and connect the duck on bgoth sides.
Even on a max setting. I could not hear it from downstair or in my grow room

it is a pretty popular idea. I got it from people who use those c-22 cab nits you get at home depot.

Where can you get a fan to cool this box? Also if you can point me to a quiet fan that'd be awesome.
