I use 18/6 in summer, and 24 in winter to keep it warm out there. I run into more issues in winter from low temps. Adding any portable heaters is too expensive in PGE cost.

My grow room in the basement is pretty well insulated…so I don’t need much extra heat if and when I do I’ve got a vent free propane heater that kinda looks like a fireplace and the benefit is two fold one for extra heat the other or course CO2

A photo from 35 years ago...Plants were 8 or 9 feet tall...definitely these were a skunk/afghani cross...I am so bummed I lost those genetics...
Skunk-Afghani plants 1988.jpg
The top cola/bud on the bean pole plant to the right weighed out at 1/4 lb. dried... If I took a guess now that cola was about 24" long...so gorgeous especially at the time...I'd love the plant on the left to be my Christmas Tree...These plants grew in a swampy area...you could stick a shovel in the dirt and would go down all the way to the top of the metal of the spade without hitting a rock at all...dirt was very rich and black...

Once you get to know me you will Soon realize that I don’t remember anything correctly ha ha
The good thing about that is even if not correct you still remember...This next pic was taken the year before at the end of May 1987...It may be just a small token of what was going on but I planted 300 seedlings in there at the beginning of May...didn't know much about sexing them before hand so it was everybody in the pool...Long story short... We ended up with 162 girls all between 9-12 ft. tall...the biggest bummer was we got ripped...went in took the best of the rest and left the smaller plants to get bigger...Then got ripped a second time before a group of us went in and harvested the rest...All the prized colas were gone...what was left was still a decent haul...We gave the helpers, there were 4 of them a huge contractors bag of bud each...and my partner in crime and I took home 20 lbs. each after dried...I bet...and I am not the betting kind...if I took a guess there was probably over a couple hundred elbows out there all said and done
