i found my plants to be most stinky in veg, with new leaves and the stems stinking the most. i think you might loose alot of the smell now your flowering as thats what mine did and i have stinky superskunk 
even my little clones stink more than my bitch lol
good to see your plants are doing well and i think you should be impressed with the results of those 70w lights,mine gave me some nice long colas!

Hi guys, things seem to be going well - i'll get some pics tonight since they're at week 3 now.
I got hold of a syringe, but it wasn't as easy as going to a pharmacy! everywhere I tried looked at me as if I was a junkie lol, trying to explain I don't want the needle but just the plunger and barrel part! no dice. Eventually I just got a buddy from a nearby university to swipe one from a lab
Just a quick question, i've got a flat inspection this saturday which isn't really a huge issue, I doubt he'll be poking around inside cuboards but just to be safe my plan is to move the plants into a cardboard box at 6am (when the lights turn off) and put them out to the shed where they'll get their 12 dark hours (hes coming round at 11) and I'll just put them back into the cabinet at 6pm. I doubt they'll notice it since all i'm doing is moving them, they're still getting their usual 12 hours of dark.

what are the temps like in there mate.... they look very hot. you may do better without the CFL's and just getting the HPS as close as possible.... trust me CFL's put out more heat than they are worth.

Not overly hot, I cant really give a solid figure since i've no thermometer but I can only feel any heat with my hand an inch away from the HPSs. Gotta remember theres a fuckton of air exchange going on in there, i'm pretty sure I could cool something a lot bigger.
I think the CFLs must be doing something, I mean they're only inches away from the tops and i've seen some great results from CFL grows on here. The HPSs could be closer but they're well within their penetration range. I'd be tempted to experiment but i've got a kinda if it aint broke, dont fix it sort of attitude right now
These lamps will all be retired after this grow anyway, going to move up to another one of these cabs but with a 250watt HPS in a sealed section and keep the current set up for vegging only - I want some sort of perpetual system going
whats the distance from the hps bulbs? it looks too much.
you should maybe remove the cfls (theyre not doing much now anyway) and raise the plants so they are near where the cfls were.

in my experience i would say definitely yes. i got noticably better results when removing my 80W of CFLs and moving the HPS from 6" to 2", also the temp dropped by 6*C.... a radical improvement.
what is brighter doesnt necessarily mean better for the plants... HPS has a wider spectrum and higher level of UV-A rays which is what causes photosynthesis. if it was best to grow under what was brightest i would buy 40 100W incandescent bulbs..... BRIGHT as heck.... but the plants would die.
id take them out but maybe try a test.... see what works better.

Plant are looking good bro, do you know how many days you need to flower before there done? Looks like it was a good idea to take those fluros out its givin your ladies more room to grow fat colas!!!

These mini microscopes work great to tell when your plants are ripe and ready to pick and there only like 10-15 bucks from a radio shack. Just my opinion
