Hey Doobie, thanks for sharing your grow with us. I've been waiting to see who was going to grow these seeds out first. Glad to see you got them going. I made sure to snag a few of these myself. Can't wait to get them going myself.

I've grown some Thai's and messed with the light cycle like you have here. You might want to watch how far you adjust your dark cycle. Not trying to tell you how to run your grow, but you don't want to give them to much dark period also. These plants from the asian area's can hemi on you and some don't . By forcing a longer dark point, you might stress them. I would keep a close eye on them. I know your trying to sex them, but these plants can take a long time to sex and even flower out.

Back when I was growing my first Pure Thai line. I was talking allot with Capt Crip. The mother i now have in safe keeping. Can keep flowering with no end to her. She also can take about a full month to show presex after the flip.

I hope and wish you well with your grow. I hope for nothing but the very best. I am in no way trying to tell you how to run your grow. I'm just giving you some info from some of the asian strains I've ran. Please do not take any of this in the wrong way. I just don't want to see you rush these plants. They can take a very long time and these plants are being growing indoors. They are not use to this also. Your the first person growing them outside their country of one or the first.
Good luck,
BG

Nice advice BG, I agree with you. If possible DD, you might want to look up the daylight hours chart for Luang Prabang's Latitude, maybe try to replicate that cycle indoors? I would say that would be the least stressful light pattern...?

Good luck! They look GREAT so far!

Peace

Doobie - the two Thais I grew vegged happily on 12/12, and I switched to 10/14 to make them flower. Might need a similar regimen here...? :chin:

thanks Eman...like I say... I see one female and the other seems to be showing a shief this morning...I pulled a male. I'm at day 45 flower 9 on 15 off.....Eman do you think I should go on more on my cycle? Lou...yes they are huge, no I don't have room, I'm choppin tops....or should I say manicuring very carefully. I hope this type of manicure won't cause stress or herms...but Lou I may start spready her now..I can't wait either...very potent spicy smell when you brush the leaves...most aroma I've ever had from a girl that wasn't in full flower....DD

Hey doobie, glad to hear things are going well. I was thinking about your grow at work today. I forgot to tell you my method of keeping these type of plants short. When I grow out my Thai mother for seeds. I do what I like to call a double cut.

First, I grow my girl to about 2 feet and flip her to 12/12. When I do the flip, I tend to cut her back to about 18". I let her go for another 2 weeks and do another cut. I try to keep her at about 2 feet on the second cut. I know, this sounds crazy and some people might rip on me, but it works.

Only down side to this. She is going to most likely bush out. You might want to also trim all the lower branches off also. Force all the energy to the top bud sites. This is how I run my Thai girls and asian strains. I am in no way trying to tell you how to run your grow. This is what works for me.

Very happy your sharing your thread with us. Been waiting to see someone grow these seeds out. Good luck and take care.
Later,
BG

BG thanks again for the tips...I have, although it does not show well in the pics, cut most of the lower branches and plan on more to force my tops into real image makers. I get a lot of flack for growing pot just for pics..LOL. Anyway...I have only some Sweet bLue Joint pollen right now and will be banging one branch at the finish. The male pics are in my Sweet Blue thread he was a very strong smeller. I'll get more images for everyone soon...DD

Core welcome...BG I'm happy you're staying...I'm trying in this thread to show any characteristics I think are unusual...this is an image of fur...this strain is fuzzier than most I've grown, very white...the pic really doesn't represent it well...DD
