I know. I was talking about your comment where you said "be it with a disabled child or not." My point was, if you have a disabled child, you can't take advantage of the system set up just for that reason. Unless you claim two children when you only have one, ext. However, accepting government aid for a disabled child, in all it's forms, is perfectly legit.

the transgressions of the moneyed begin, oh, this low status guy is hitting on me, i know let's trick him to wait out in the cold for me overnight. trick, lock dude in courtyard, throw bucket of water, by morning, dead frozen dude, because he tried to date some fancy bitch. hahahaha, right? and it goes from there.
once you transcend the personal loss of having all your dreams crushed, and the pain of sedulous brutalities, society is just a bit sad really. you can see it in everythnig, from the great to the small. who gets their dreams in this world? no one with dreams worth much. only those whose dreams are on loan from the emperor.

but it's not for me, because i work in that industry. you know, awesome synthesis procedures, nope, people can't have those, because some shithead has to sit on top of it and make money, so no one gets any ability to express themselves.
it's a laugh right compared to sitting on top of aids drugs, but sitting on top of music is like the ideas your culture has and can grow from ("where are they all coming from?" seems like the same place dunnit..)
so what's a cepstrum process... well, really, it's about adding .... about sixteen characters to your document that say log(myarray); and then doing another fourier transform fft(myarray); but let's totally obfuscate this in case they challenge our authority or income. we can't have poor people sounding as weird as rich people, or they won't respect the limitations placed on the flow of intellectual commodity.

Well I don't know what checks the UK government has in place to prevent people who don't need help from taking advantage of help that is offered but here in America there are ways. Just last year there was a story that made national headlines about a couple whose net worth was over 1 million and yet they defrauded the system of food stamps and other assistance to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars over several years by putting assets in the name of relatives. Fortunately they were caught and punished accordingly. Now they didn't have a disabled child but if they did they would have been able to milk the system even more because a large part of the focus of social programs is meant for the care of children. That is to say if you have a child, especially a disabled one you have a much easier time getting a lot more help then an adult in need.
The rational such people use is they feel that their tax dollars are going to people who don't even make an effort to pull themselves up by the bootstraps and if those people are going to get free food and money then the people defrauding the system might as well get theirs too.
You can defraud it by having enough to take care of the child, without assistance. Which is what I got from what BGB was saying about his former friend, he made enough to support him, his wife and the disabled child yet the wife still sought out and accepted assistance. If her husband did in fact make enough to support them then the wife must have been dishonest in some way. At least here in the US she would have had to be dishonest because the income restrictions to qualify are pretty low such that it would be impossible to take care of your family on your own income and still qualify.

For the most part, those of you with the strongest opinions have very ittle or zero expreince in this area... So now, imagine you were an expert at growing cannabis (and some of you are), that you had been at it full time for the last 12 years... and that then one day you saw a bunch of people posting their dodgy opinions on the subject of cannabis cultivation because of something they once read on the internet ...even though they hadnt actually ever grown any plants... now imagine who you are in this analogy... am I getting through to you ?
I really wont be posting in this thread again, I'm actually surprised I'm not banned already.

I Think HempKat gave a good summary of what was trying to be addressed. I can't speak for UK citizens, but in the US it is a matter that happen all to often.
