It’s really dumb out there for me I just checked the monthly forecast it’s gonna be overcast overcast overcast
I got sun and smoke today...

It’s a good thing you got them mounded up a bit…here’s prayin for some more sun
gotta take my pump and battery down there and pump it out, it takes a week or so for it all to perk down usually, was still really wet yesterday too.

mounds are key but I neeed to remember to plow a drain channel to the creek next season and design that into the layout of bed 3 and 4...

the wettest part of bed 3 needs soil brought in

I'm going to murder a shit ton of clones now that didn't get used in my never beginning light dep fantasy...

too wet to work up new plots here and I don't feel very motivated lately. worried this smoke will spoil the crop if the rain doesn't.

wow that's a lot of water to deal with
I remember a few years back some similar flooding was fuckin with your program.
So nice to have a water source like that but crazy how fast too much water becomes a problem.

I wonder..... if you trenched down the middle between your mounds and laid in some smooth drain rock and Big O pipe that ends down stream, your drainage might drastically improve while not affecting the moisture levels the mounds require. Some work but it might be something to consider.

Go ahead and get your drainage channels cut, you just need a little groove for the water to go. Make sure it has a slight grade to it so the water moves.

I have to dig these channels to move water away from the edge of the garden. Puddling water is really bad for the plants and will KILL roots, and eventually kill the plants.

A better option in my opinion especially on wet years like this is make the garden one big mound, like mine is, so the water moves off the garden. Those areas in between the small mounds are still utilized by the roots, so it would be better if it was drained too. Channels will draw water and possibly choke out roots instead of having a one big broad mound garden where roots can roam free. More roots more flower! :smoke:
