cant believe we are half way through Sept already, planning to take my morning strains by the end of the month, Sour Dubb, ECSD, SSH, Durban and the chems.

I've let my cookies go 2 weeks into Oct in the past when the weather worked out.

Looking great Chunky, let's hope the weather stays nice into October. Next year I'll run a few of the gems I found in the OGKB 2.0 crosses. Sometime this week I'll be trimming the females from seed, they've been hanging for a few weeks and the pieces I've been pulling off are really nice.:tiphat:

Nice, I’m so happy for you bro...!!!...

I was gonna say, I remember about this time last year you was dealing with flooding and what not...

Looks like things should turn out a little better this year...!!!...

I just can’t imagine the work you must put in daily and then the amount of work that’s gonna come at harvest time...!!!...

What do you do, cut branches and pack them up to take indoors to dry...?...
if so, that’s just alot of traffic I’d be too worried about someone seeing me through all that...
But I’m sure you’ve got that in a nice hidden away spot...

Hopefully no more samsquatches come by ...!!!...

Nice looking guerilla patch there man! Did you amend the native soil for those in ground plants, or did you lug it all in? I've done them both, just curious.

Well I started with 600 gallons of coots mix from last year that was in place and transplanted my clones into that in 2-7 gallon bags in early June.

The local soil is heavy clay as it's a swamp/bog area with a stream through it and I chose an area that was high and far from the stream.

I put cheap amendments like lime, gypsum, rock phosphate, and shitloads of chipped wood compost on the ground and plowed it in then raked that amended soil into the mounds where I wanted to plant.

Then I dumped the expensive amendments on top of the mounds and mixed it together and planted into that.

I used a premium local hot composted dairy manure solids, EWC, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, chicken manure pellets, 160# gypsum, bone meal, and perlite.

Every couple weeks I top dressed with more gypsum, bone meal, chicken manure and alfalfa meal.

The plants in 10 gallon bags got a mix that I played with all season gradually making it hotter and hotter using all the same stuff.

The last mix seems to do well with water only here, some of my 10 gallons are giants with better buds than some of the ones in mounds.

I need to find my notebook with the final recipe.

Hey folks, figure this place is likely the best spot to get an answer, I have never grown anything from the cookies family, and have access to a few clones of this line, what's everyone's thoughts on which of these would be the one to pick, if you could only grow one or maybe two.

Wedding Cake
Gelato 33 (larry bird cut)
Gushers (Gelato 41 x Triangle Kush)
Mochi (Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Cookies)
Do sa do (dark heart's clone)

Right on, so kinda both. I've had spots where i got lucky and the composition and ph of the soil was about perfect, and spots were I have had to dig holes or use mounds. Built some big beds before as well using fallen trees.

I don't hardly trim it at all, nothing gets vended, i'll cut off any pm when I chop them.
I smoke all joints and the sugar leaf makes your doobie burn better IMHO.

I'm shooting for 200 jars this season to stash, a 2 year supply for me so I can take a year off from growing if I choose and to get reserve again in case I have floods next year.

I'm excited to grow OD again armed with my new knowledge and tactics but at this spot next year I will probably set and forget then return in OCT to see what survives.

I got 2 spot in Mich set for next year and I might try some two yard mounds and start a new large plants outdoors thread.

spread that OGKB2.0 far and wide Bro, not many plants perform this sweet OD that's for sure.

my 2.0 tops here today looking so close but they got more sun ahead...

Thanks Chaco, I know you've popped plenty of beans over the years so I'm really pleased that you are enjoying what you find in my Bagseeds, Bro!

How many ECSD's are there in this picture thanks to your sharing???

in the past I'd do a rough wet trim to remove any pm and big fans as it came off the plant, then into bags and carry them out, this year I plan to fill totes and dolly those back.

I been freaking about getting ripped this year because there's 10x more than I've ever had before but the smell doesn't carry beyond 100 feet and there have been plants outside here for the past 6 years and never any issues yet.

just gotten keep working and Monday I'll take the bulk down.
hunting season starts tuesday and if the weather is good I might leave more up till friday, don't think any of my neighbors will be out hunting till the weekend.

shit is bulking up every day now and starting to see a few amber trichs too barely any clear left everything is milky now.

Dosidos, wish I'd have had more than 4 of these, next year this will be a huge part of my crop.

Right on, so kinda both. I've had spots where i got lucky and the composition and ph of the soil was about perfect, and spots were I have had to dig holes or use mounds. Built some big beds before as well using fallen trees.

i been fucking around with lots of recipes over the years but I think the massive influx of gypsum and phosphate ala Slownickles thread really made a big difference this year as well as trying out CrushNyuba's recipe with some mods.

next year Imma get some soil tests and see if I can improve again but I'm really stoked with the quality I'm seeing from this round.

I busted a branch off a headband over a week ago and it was just frosty enough that I dried it instead of tossing it and it's pretty dank even that early.

I think I'm going to be really well medicated in 2020 if the next few weeks work out.

this is the back of the patch, first in the ground so they are big but the bud size is smaller, I made my soil hotter and hotter every mix, then watched for any signs of burning that never showed up, the last batches were way hotter and the bud size is better by far.

these still look pretty good though, Sour dubb, ecsd, Blissful wizzard, chem d, chem four, forum, 2.0, Dosis.

Yeah it's a sweet smoke for sure. 2.0 trichs from a few days ago.

Curious- what % amber do you prefer to harvest at? (If outdoor conditions permit)

I'd say about zero amber most years...
conditions are bad here, high elevation and humidity with early frost so I'm picking most OD real early compared to the west coast.

I mostly play it by the first day of bow hunting which is tues. I've had neighbors chase wounded deer onto my land in the past several times but it has been 7-8 years since the last time it happened.

I like to pull the weed that I smoke in the daytime like the chems, and sours before they would be considered done and let my night time weed like headband and cookies to go as long as possible in terms of maturity.

I left these OGKB 2.0s out until OCT 10 in 2016, there were just a few then.
they came out super dank that year and handled lots of rain and light frost too.

I know my 2.0 today is developed beyond those old plants based on better weather and soil but I don't have that color yet.

found more bud rot today but it was warm and sunny AF so I didn't chop nothing but the rotten buds. pretty much 90% of the rot has been on the 2.0's which have been rock hard for weeks now.
picture.php

I've had some mild PM on older and excess fan leaves pretty much non stop on a few plants but it has never progressed near the buds or even gotten bad on the leaves.

tomorrow I will have to pull down some of it to be safe but there's so much there that needs time and might actually get it this year so I'm not going to freak out yet about hunters.

the bud rot scares me worse so my first chop will be the biggest 2.0 tops then maybe half of the chems and sours.

my stash is hitting the bottom of the jars so I'll take at least one of everything but I'll leave some for the next week too...

frost on a small Dosi.
