glassmaster- i think lots of seeds made by private breeders are better than those available to buy. i know i can make quality beans, i have confidence in my skills.

i just stay away from making "female" beans in case i want to develop a line further in the future. i am very selective about what traits carry on. if i make a cross, i want the exact characteristics that i like. :)

I agree^^ I am not questioning your skillz in particular H&L...I am just refering to noobs who might be timid towards breeding- I know for the first few years I grew--i was reluctant to breed, because the books I read were for beginners, and they said to wait to breed until you were more experienced., therefore I spent thousands on seeds from other breeders-cause I thought whatever beans I would make would be shyt...After I gained some knowledge about genepools, variance, and diversity, i figured I would give it a shot and the results have surpassed my expectations.

Although for the year I tried to work on feminised strains and tried to create my own fem seeds was a completely different story..That year sucked bad because of all the hermies I was dealing with I had alot of seeded bud..which sucks...Although the breeder of the original fem beans was Dutch Passion- and I here they get alot of hermies traits in their gear.
