A quick update: I have been battling root aphids SOB! My plants don't seem to care much but I've giving them 80ml/gallon of scorpion juice and am slowly winning the war. I'm going to grab some SM-90 and finish killing them off before I flip. Og's are pushin 2', the guido is 12-14". I'm going to top the OG when I flip in a few days. My other cuts are rooted. 40 more guido to hopefully fill the whole side. Doing my soak right now. I think I'll flip em small and close together. About 40/hood. 1 side of guido 1 side of OG with a couple of bubbas I accidentally cut... Pics tomorrow.
whatup too highmf? glad you're keepin this one alive. the earth juice people have a product called gognats that supposedly works on root aphids. how bout that solatel plant pro? i've had one for years and that controller kicks fuckin ass!! love the c02 monitor on that badboy. even cheesy pix from your phone would be cool....
peaces....
max
OGKM, yeah it's me from AN. Horti-Control Flips are the ticket. How many ballasts do you want to flip?
A-S, thank you. Things are comin along nicely.
MM, if I could upload from the phone I would. Unfortunately I cannot or there would BE a ton of pics. I might have a new cam and comp n the next week. Still trying to kill these lil bastards... Oxidizing, gnatrol, sm-90, scorpion juice is keeping the numbers down. I am very familiar with gonats cedar oil and skeeter dunks. I'm thinkin diatomacious earth dip...
Well see.
I soak my rooters in kln clone solution with hormex. Plenty of b vits in both products and kln has a light NPK. I then usually give them 3-500ppms of lucas formula or just a bloom booster like superboost, koolbloom, or any high pk boost as roots love K!! I soak at around 6.0-6.4 and when I toss em in the trays I reach in and squeeze the rooters until their saturated in my solution. Then I use vita grow (formerly wood's) or hormex or clonex (I don't prefer gels but it works) I cut each baby, strip her down so only the top growth and a fan is left at about 4-5" long and they sit in the cloning hormone for about 10-15 minutes and then I stick em til they are secure in the rooter.. I use mondi domes that I spray down with my clone mix for about 5 days. Then I open the vents. 2 days after I remove the dome and let the rooters begin to dry. as they dry, either roots start to pop, or I have to re wet em again with root juice until they finish rooting.
Call me crazy, but once I see roots they get 1000ppms lucas... And they take off! I also use roots excelurater, calmg+, and superthrive.
Scored all my stuff from Advanced Gardens and now I'm on week 2 of veggin these NL's. Gonna do an ebb& flow coco grow. Trying to get my hands on some GDP clones out here so I don't have to drive to the Bay Area.
You worked at AAA as a sales manager? I met a manager there before about 2 years ago when I was visiting. White, skinny guy about 6ft. Nice guy & pretty helpful. Have not seen him there lately though. He seemed to be pretty big on using AN stuff.
Got a quick question for you......are you using a humidifier??
Just wondering because my hygrometer is reading on 15% humidity, this can't be good for my plants.
Keep up the good work & can't wait to see what kind of numbers you pull after drying.
BTW, I heard they cancelled the NORML 420 this year.
BTW, I know a guy who used to work at AAA. His name is Dave M. Cool guy. Looks like an old hippie dude. In fact, he was the one that showed me the AAA near galleria.
so how exactly does this system work .... I can get an idea ...... like root clones plug into rockwool lined up in the fence post trays....... also get how the res has pumps recirc..... just not sure how the water gets to the trays from the rest and how it gets from the trays to the res......... pumped no doubt, but are the trays angled.... then the water is pumped to the top of an angled tray and then flows down through rock wool ending up falling waterfalls into the res?
Tarbosh, the next pics will give you a much better idea. I Tee from each res w a 1000gph pump in each rez. Their is roughly 8' of sch. 40 1/2 PVC pipe that runs to the back of each end. I put an elbow on the ends with maverick 12 outlet 6gph pressure compensating drip manifolds. From there I cut 1/4" dripline and drill 2 holes in post caps on the ends of each channel. A nice stream from each dripline keeps em fed.
Islander: what up bro! 15% in the house? I need a dehuey as my room is 40% in veg.
Once buds are swelling, the humidity rises.
I know who helped ya and is a great guy. He's on here too. Rocks GDP!
I hope Advanced garden is takin care of ya.
Yup. 15% Humidity inside the house. Guess I'll just purchase a humidifier to make things easier. My humidity doesn't go as high as yours in bloom since your growing in much bigger volumes.
Hopefully I'll see him tomorrow at the state building as we testify against SB262. Do you have his username on here just in case I don't see him??
AG is pretty good. Feel like a freakin' kid in a candy store! LOL
Wish you all the best on your harvest. How much longer do you have to go???
