Ummm... It's my understanding that the FloraNova series IS the lucas formula... That said, I've had nothing but spectacular results. Best of luck toohighmf... Not only do I remember you from when I lurked on the AN forums, but all that lurking is what caused me to move out here to CA.... You're truly an inspiration, well, you and that one dude Hydro were both.... Can't believe I've finally made it....

never made it to the store, so nothing got done this weekend, except trying to decide which nutrients to run. I'm 3 Par guy, but something is telling me to try floranova 1 part bloom in 1 res. Dutchmaster Gold in the other.
I want to try a comparrison between 1 part, Ancient OregonismXL, superthrive, humic/fulvic, L-aminos and Calmag+ w H202,

VS. DM Gold, roots exelurater, calmg+, superthrive with Big Bud or Bud XL, humic/fulvic, and finish off with overdrive or shooting powder. What'll y'all think?

TooHigh, Have you chose what nutes to go with...I noticed a few House and Garden, and Roots Organics, products you were thinkin' bout runnin...

We use the House & Garden line w/ the Roots Org. Oregonism XL w/ great results, in hydro :RDWC, and some NFT/E&F/RDWC hybrid type systems which I like to call (SWFT-Shallow Water Film Technique)...

IMHO I wouldn't use the H202 with the Roots Excelurator and Oregonism XL, from what I've heard H202 kills of bacteria's, so IMHO it would be a waste of $ to implement beneficial bacteria's if they will jus' be killed off...

Though it might be a lil pricey The H&G and Roots Organics, haven't done us wrong, but in the end it's your choice...

hey all thanks for stopping by!

okay details on the system. the channel you see was 5x5"x8' PVC fence post. I cut each fennce post laterally down the middle at 2.5" tall. there are 16 8' channels to hold 4x4x2.5" grodan cubes, spaced approx. 10" apart.
res's are in the center of the system. there is a 1000gph pump in each res. the pup is rigid PVC Tee'd 16' each direction of the system from each pump.
res will also have a TON of Airstones, and 500gph pumps just keeping the res recirculated. the res pumps to each end where a 4 outlet 6gph pressure compensating drip X is placed at each end where a 1/4" line will be drilled into the back of each channel. the water is pumped to the back of the system, where the drip lines will stream and cascade down the troughs back to the res form both ends.

there are 4 ballasts and 8 hoods with a Horti-Control 4 ballast flip flop that flips every 2 hours in the room.

Res 1:
Roots excelurater, Calmg+, GH lucas base, H1/F1, Add Big bud 2 weeks in, with H2o2 cleanup flush treatment, week 6 Shooting powder, week 7 carb flush, week 8 Straight RO til the fans fall off. start at 1200ppm, finish at 1500ppm. I think this is a hapy medium for the SFV and bubba as well as the 50 GUIDO. 36 plants per hood, 16 plants per 8' channel x 4 channels.


Res 2: Roots excel, Calmg+, DM Gold, High PK bloom booster weeks 3 & 6, Carbo flush 1 week, straight Ro the next..

Now I know how NFT works but I don't see how your setting the plants into your set up. How are you capping the channels?

I'll either get caps and cap the backs only. I will cut 8 of em in half and make 16, or Ill just drill a hole for 1/4" line and RTV em in. I'm going to put such a high slope on the channel, there won't be a need for caps.

Haha! Yeah I woke up at midnight... 15 hours of sleep. I'll be up for 2 days now! I think I'm going to see a dr tom. I have been sick for near 2 weeks. I'm starting to suspect it's more than just a bug now... I'm a little concerned. I coughed up a lot of blood when I woke up. Nose is stuffed, and I just keep coughin up stuff I never seen in 35+ years..
