For now - I'm just going to call this particular line "Buddiez".
If I like what I find I'll get more seeds and only then will I disclose what it is. Things are crazy competitive these days. I don't want to trigger a buy out of something that is currently going overlooked. Perhaps with good reason. Maybe not.
After those get started and up potted, I'm following that up with some fems:

I have a unique opportunity to grow small batch as "a white label" producer for a "brand" I happen to respect. I've never considered doing such before - but this isn't some major outfit. It's a small time grass roots hustle. It seems like it would be a fun way to get some reviews on my work via having more 3rd party evaluation.
The menu, as it is, is very east coast heavy and has the sour/chem/og line up pretty well taken care of. However, there isn't a lot of "za" being offered and the customer base is looking for it, I suppose.
So, if you notice a shift in the genes I am starting to sort through, there is a reason.
It's not like I have a big garden but quality over quantity is still a thing, apparently.

Just wanted to let people know my phone is down so if you haven't been able to get a hold of me. Don't stress it.
I've held a theory for a long time - ever since MAC1 jumped off. Ever since Wedding Cake jumped off.
I realized in Boston when looking at genetics - that Exotic Mike put that theory in to play already - sort of. I think, that's why his lines have seen the degree of success they have. I'm intentionally exploring this theory in a round about kind of away.
Not that I put much value in this, but considering Exotic has had a placing entry in over 20 cup events, people must like what he is putting out.
That's still irrelevant to me. THE ONLY REASON - I started looking into Exotic Genetix - was the Hazlenut Cream clone, I smoked with JJNYC at ChemComp and again at PiffCon. The Hazlenut Cream - is Cuban Black Haze x Cookies n Cream.
When I smelt "Bahama Mama" it reminded me of Phillthy's cut of BKGK. The smell convinced me to buy a pack. I wasn't too interested in anything Sol Fire had paired it with, so ended up going with "Bakers Dozen" - because, it was in part, Cookies n Cream, even if generationally removed.

The Seed Junky Wedding Cake F2 x Kush Mints #11 male was sorted from 3 packs of seeds, at $600 a pack. Not sure how many people are throwing down money like that for seeds, but my curiosity got the better of me, and I wanted to see what the outcross would hold.
These seeds are not at all what I would have expected. They look like true cabbage leafed indica plants. I'm actually more excited after seeing what the plants look like. Before seeing them start to grow, I really just felt like I had put focus on seeds from the hype machine. Not so sure now.
Who can figure out what in particular I'm looking at in these gene pools??? LOL

ICmag member, @Xochi - has passed away. He was Goat and Monkey Seeds and responsible for getting Sterling Green / Sterling Skunk out to the community.
I am so glad I was able to see him in Boston and spend some time with him at the Gene Traders event after the Freedom Rally. I had intended to get a couple packs of ECSD x White Runtz, but he actually talked me out of it. Said there was so much variation, that finding a keeper in other seed lines with fewer seeds was a better decision.
If you remember, earlier this year I started a few Blue Dream x TK from his work as well. I'm still holding a couple of those phenos. One in particular, is a really really nice plant. In hindsight, I'm so glad I didn't let these plants go, thinking, I can always get more seed.
Time never slows down and the world waits for no one. Remember, everything about this existence, is temporal.
He called the line, Blue Triangle. I keep calling this one keeper from the line, "Dream Kush". Grows with 3 and 5 finger leaf sets, like an OG - but has much better internode distances and and stacks because of it. Has the growth rate and vigor of a sativa though. Kind of a bad ass plant.
I'm excited to show her off.

Also, I spoke with Exotic Mike about his "Mint Chocolate Chip" seed line. He says, he did NOT use Blue Power in the cross. He says he used Cookie Fam cut of GSC that he got directly from them in a trade.
His seed packs list it that way as well. Not sure how I got it mixed up.

Sol Fire - Baker's Dozen x Bahama Mama

The Sol Fire are growing with some genetic mutations. Just seen in the early leaves. I expect they will grow out of it.
The Oreoz x (WC F2 x KM#11) are really impressing me, to be honest, and I hate to say that. I like the way they look. Big fat cabbage indica leaves. Great smells. Stems rubs vary in intensity, but the all have that generic vanilla cake batter smell, with hints of citrus. Very exciting. I actually topped the ones not growing like runts, at the 4th internode today.
The whole reason I wanted to sort these, is because I want to take the best from this line and pair it to...
Cali-O x Starfighter.
The early smells are telling me I am going the right direction and the way I am thinking is going to work out, if my suspicions are correct.
My thought is and has been for years now:
Anything x Starfighter = okay, hit or miss offspring.
Outcross that though - B x (Anything x Starfighter) = and you will find consistently improved plants.
This has been a glaring suspicion of mine for years. It's why I wanted the Cali-O cross, because that clone is super old and very removed genetically from the more modern gene pools and combinations.
AND - I REALLY just don't like "tangie" - orange / citrus. I never really cared for SubCool's interpretation of what an orange, tastes like, I guess.
The second suspicion, is - MOST - of the increased performance, potency, and flower structure/look of Seed Junky gear - is a direct result of the insertion of the Blue Power gene pool.
So, when I laid out all the genetics and turned some red and underlined others, if you didn't guess already, what I'm looking at SPECIFICALLY:
Lines built on Forum cut.
Lines built on Starfighter.
Lines built on Blue Power.
It's really nice to find my focus again. I'm feeling much more myself lately. I miss posting. I miss sharing the plant with all of you here at ICmag. It's easy to get lost in this world - but I'm finding my way home.

I have a personal issue, with running anything from Seed Junky at this point. It sucks too, because, shit, SeedJunky was BIRTHED on this site. We all remember the Aptus thread, in which @JackTheGrower sorted and found the Wifi #43 cut.
In case you didn't know or realize....that is who, Seed Junky Genetics and Jungle Boyz is. It started, right here, with that thread.
Jack - sold out, is the understanding. He's partnered with Kyle Kazan - Glass House - and former PIG. He is bank rolled, by someone who earned a living, putting our own people, in a fucking cage. He profited off caging us, now he profits off the plant. That's definitely the wrong look.
I have a HUGE issue, running these genetics. I'm sorry for doing so, and if you wanted to know why, I'm sorta pissed, they are looking like my cup of tea...well.....
It's sometimes, very hard for me to comprehend, all that @Gypsy Nirvana accomplished with this site. The growers here, have LITERALLY, changed the world.
