I gotta agree T.Baggins, I tried it a decade or so ago on Dirty Bong, and the plastic started turning a funky white sorta color, and I washed it off.
I tried 420 grunge remover. It too, made the acrylic react. Also left a funky orange flavor in that plastic that was hard to get out.
I gave up getting it sparkling clean long ago, but the Olive Oil works SUPER! I can see the water in there for the first time in ages....
It works great for cleaning your hands after trimming. It's also nice to take some with you when harvesting outdoors and having to travel with weed. You can pour some onto your hands, rub it around for a couple minutes and then wipe clean with a paper towel. It takes care of all the smell....

lola never tried this auld wifes tip but its rice and white vinegar / give it a shake / rinse off with soapy water . hope it works . glad 2 c ur still making good use of it

I bought the tube on the left from edit for 40 bucks. Glass on Glass, and I promise this thing will blow your freaking head off.
While I understand Mr. Tony, and his love of quality made glass, going from plastic to a GonG will be a huge step, without having to spend 100 bucks.
I am not sure how much those bongs you are looking at are, but they can't be cheaper than 35.00 + shipping.

Looking good Bobby! Thanks for the advice! I sorta figured that out about the glass heads, after a while! I think going from an icky plastic bong to a glass one of any sort is bound to be better!
I don't quite understand the whole RooR thing. A bong is a bong if it is glass on glass IMO. They all get you high. Worked glass is a bit different, that is one off art.
But that is another debate.
I do like the RooR Ziggy, but for 700 bucks!
I have a gem, and it is pretty dirty, but I just leave it in the bag where it is safe. If I clean it and fix the stem it will get used again...

LolaGal, this is a $35-$65 bong depending upon where you buy it.
8" tall, 'soft' glass as they say, rubber grommit stem etc.......
Really worth only $15.00 for materials & quality it still hits like a champ.
EDIT: The nicer bowl was bought separately later.

try warming the oil up first...olive oil is expensive, i bet normal veg. wll work just as good.

Anyone who grows or appreciates good cured herb and smokes out of a nasty dirty piece is wasting great flavor and possibly compromising their health. Metal and plastic are not the best thing for your health either because they release chemicals. Glass is inert, easier to clean, and the only way to taste the great flavors of cured herb.
