On to the digital ballast question?????

would fellow gardeners be interested in digital ballasts ranging from
70 - 1,000 HPS/MH for a competitive price examples below

ex. 400 watt HPS for 95.00 + sh
ex. 600 watt HPS for 175.00 + sh

would there be a demand?
trying to get an idea if I should start selling digi's online
they are the same ones I use for my indoor gardening

Good prices for digitals for sure.. 400 for 95 is quite good.. If you did discount on bulk buys and shit im sure you could make a decent ammount. Just my opinion

txeffect - are you ordering them through Hidhut>? That is the only place that ive seen who can sell them that cheap, HTG supply and the like are MUCH MUCH more expensive. . .

I lnow your prices are cheaper but i think the warranty is what will help sell the ballast..

well these are straight from the manufacturer and would be given a 1yr warranty from the manufacturer. I have one myself. I will upload pics of them sat. or sun. I can get discount on bulk but once again that will have to be discussed seperately. Hidhut is not where I buy them from. You will have to wire the mogul socket to it as one is not supplied. but has the wires pre-stripped and ready to wire to your mogul socket. That is why I offer them $5,10 less than Hidhut. These are not lumateks or futurebrites, but are from an overseas supplier whom I have made arrangements with if I decide to sell them.

Beware of fake lumatek ballasts!!! Real lumateks come with a 5 year warranty! peace.

All digi ballasts can spark MH or HPS lamps, but whichever bulb the ballast wasnt made for will pay the price. . i.e. a 400w digi HPS with a MH bulb, the MH will still ignite, but its bulb life will be reduced drastically. . .

Hidhut is good stuff, always been courteous and helpful. . . Ask them yourself =)

Watch the shipping prices from the suppliers overseas. Typically $8/kg for express mail. It can get rather expensive. Also, find a company that can verify your supplier. I've seen a lot of people get ripped off buying from overseas.

Well I got 3 x 600w and 1 x 400w from hidhut.com and I love those ballast, Im a new grower but I didnt have any problem with them, they always spark the bulb fast. Also their bulb are worth the money! So I would be interrested in some cheap ballast but I already got some!

it is very appreciated. I have verified this source and
shipping can be done within the states. I am not trying
to sell junk here, just supply a means to an alternative for
the more economical individual, like myself. I do not make
any claims they are lumateks or galaxys or lumanaces. They
are comparable to many common available digital ballasts on
the market. I hope it could turn out to be a good business
venture for me, while being able to offer an economical
product.

I'm considering going digital myself and my MAIN concern is length of warranty. I wouldn't even consider buying something with less than a 3 year warranty regardless of price.... but thats just me.

they advdertise as a HPS, and being digital why dont it work on both MH or HPS
lumitec does not have a built in fan in their ballasts that im aware of, I think id be little leary of this, so if ya buy, maybe just one to try first
