the novel coronavirus has been around a long time….

lysol kills bacteria that cause the common cold

why did the flu disappear for two years?

when it come to trusting the gubmint doctors , you can count me out

call me Woke Against The Machine

I don't believe the flu disappeared for 2 years, and the best reasoning for why the flu numbers dropped for that period has to do with the significant number of people who were social-distancing and/or masking.

Couple of questions:

How many people believe THEIR experience of COVID is necessarily another person's experience of it? (That seems to be a recurrent intonation of many posts in this thread, and I find it astounding).

Also, where are these hostile posts from the pro-vax side? Please point them out.

Thanks.

If that's your argument then they should never have mandated it.
I didn't make an argument, as much as I pointed to some facts. Initial fact being that COVID is and was what I refer to as a 'grab-bag virus.'

It affects people differently, but was, in its initial presentation or variants, killing millions.

The claim of hostility coming from the pro-vax side of the discussion, with one or 2 minor examples, seems relatively unfounded.

That's not true that's your opinion.Ivermectin is an antiviral drug.

Well in canada in many cases you lost your job if you didn't get vaccinated so I would say that's hostile wouldn't you? My wife lost hers because she only took 2 and they wanted 5

"some viruses" it said. lots of stuff will kill "some viruses". i'd bet rubbing alcohol, gasoline, iodine, ALL would kill "some viruses." not gong to find many competent doctors advising use of them over medications designed for that purpose.

I would hope not but did the vaccine work as intended? Some people took more than 5 doses and still got covid. Viagara was made to treat high blood pressure and is now used for ED

The wider studies indicated that those who were vaccinated and later infected experienced lesser severe symptoms as a result.

No vaccines are 100% that I know of.

And some, such as the Yellow Fever/Denga' Fever vax is now given far less often due to overwhelming side-effects for many who received it.

Unfortunately, even with prior infections of COVID -and- the vax, the research has often stated that protection lasts about 6 months.

And relying on immune system alone for what is known as a novel virus, has shortcomings.

While there are many (maybe hundreds) of Carona viruses, each one is unique to some degree, though they also include the common cold, for which to this day, there's no known cure.

But the common cold rarely kills millions, either.
