just run two tubs facing each other and use a shared res imo. you might have to diy a little on mounting the light to get the right footprint, but I don't think you should try and attach the tubs together and waterproof them over running extra tubing to/from your res.

You are absolutley right, IDK what I was thinking:crazy:

Using those simple pass throughs made for cvpc electrical conduit is much easier, cheaper and a whole lot less problematic than installing 1 and3/4in. Uniseals@ on a 45 degrees angle.

God Bless the Internet, IC and people like you, HeD33!

Thanks!

Great thread, wish I had found this two years ago, before being a sucker for pre-made systems that are largely overpriced garbage you can make yourself.

So I've got a CAP Ebb Gro, otherwise I would be running this setup, actually looking to replace the CAP in the long term for a setup based on this.

Thank you to all the people all over the internet that ran into these MacCourt products, for a budget medical grower I haven't found anything more straight forward or cost effective w/ the simplicity of F&D.

A couple helpful suggestions, the tubs as noted will bow, my suggestion to you is to either A) Frame it (Wood, PVC, etc) or B) Gorilla tape it, and C) Consider a ratcheting cable strap. I think A, B or C should solve the issue.

I'd like to point out that an overflow fitting coupled w/ a strong pump gives you the benefit past the initial flood of mixing your nutrient solution, adding the waterfall effect adding aeration while cycling.

Lastly I would like to point out from my own research that MacCourt makes a variety of other products in far larger sizes available on their website directly, from what I can see buying a larger version of one of their pond liners to use as your central reservoir sans, lid, is a FAR more affordable alternative to hydro store, bought reservoirs, food for thought.
