HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE Difference! You have 500sq' of flower room. Why not cut it in half and have an AM and a PM room. I think 4Kw per hundered sq' is around the norm so my suggestion of 18 was a little low, your 12 running 600w is too little in my opinion.

I run thousands and flip flop them two hours on and off. The 1Kws push light so much further than the 600ws no reason to go small if you have 500sq' with 10' ceilings so 5,000 cubic feet of desert love needs 10's of thousands of watts (.6 x 12) 7200w just wont cut it.

juat pointing out the norm or standard is 50 watts per sq foot so ya if his rooms that big i'd suggent putting up a wall dividing it with simply panda plastic with a zipper in it to go from one to the other ??? this way you can get a room that works with 50 watts per sq foot i pull down 4-8 ounces on one of my strains the rest are just medium yields i'm a somewhat guy that can and will to the best of my ability help ya out don't hang that foil stuff around your room just pain it flat white heres reason why that reflective stuff reflects heat as well as light flat white walls rediredt light and minimal heat hope this helped any i got a 10' x 6' x 8' flower room all hard ducting i keep all my potted plants on

i read that people were having problems with the lumatek and my hydro store people said they were returning too many of them. i got a nextgen per their recommendation. i ran a 1000 watt and now i'm running a 600. after doing a bit of reading, i figure i'll get about 1/3 less dry smoke but it will take me a couple grows to figure it out for sure. i was growing way too much with the 1000 watt anyway. first grow in a 5' x 5' closet was 8 oz. one of my last grows was 21 or 24 oz. since i just grow for me, i was sitting on way too much weight and it made me nervous. such a problem to have.

i've heard the samething about digital ballasts in general and in the 20+ years ive been doing this i've never had a ballast mis fire on me had them burn out after 10 years of use so until these digital ballasts eork they'd be hanging in my room right noe but i just roll with my handy dandy sunsystems TY very much i take that back becasue yes in 10 years my brother sent an econogro X made by sunsystems back after havinf it for almost 4 years and they fixed it free of charge even compensated him for the shipping so sunsytems is what hangs from my ceiling always has been always will be

i have n/p here with the low RH some ppl actually run a dehumidifier here. i'm somewhere in the south under a rock chilln with the snakes and scorpions

i'm in the valley of the sun and the humidity is usually around 30% in the grow room. i used to use a humidifier but after a few years, i just left it alone and didn't sweat it. the reality is, for human and pot health, it's best to have a higher humidity in the home so i'll probably buy another humidifier. it can't hurt!

for your small tent, if you have the room, you could put a bowl of water with a large surface area in a corner of the tent. it's low tech but it helps.

I wouldn't worry about the RH. I used to. I ran around filling up the humidifier tank every day or more and really didn't notice any difference. The only time it is really critical is when I transplant fresh cuts. I usually keep them under a dome with vent holes in the top for a day or so until the cuts take to their new digs. Some strains are very sensitive to coming out of the cloning dome and others don't lose a beat.

I think what I was seeing the other day was due to the coco medium drying out a bit - I've bumped my watering regimen up to twice a day and they plants are loving it. They are also getting a foliar spray during both feedings.

If things start to look bad again I'll drop a bowl in the tent with some sort of wicking system.

this is something i'd like to see pics of coco doing anything worth while in a desert climate dirt n hydro's in fact you should be using a flood and drain table and be using the coco for your medium instead of hydroton on a ebb and flo table my brother uses it and says it's the best hydro medium money can buy

I have to say that Maj. is correct. I couldn't even list the top 5 in each category indica or sativa; the selection was about 5 per grower and top shelf on all 5. So once there was a few of us there two dozen samples hit the table.

I'm a competitive fuck but seeing what I did a few days ago made me realize there is no way I could tell between top shelf strains.

That being said SSA got a few mentions from fellow growers, apparently he knows how to make them fat in the desert and the rest of us are going to get there some day

invite damn must of missed that one especially beings with the names listed there it happened here in vegas i woulda brought my sunday best and i got about 5 of them atm meh stayed home on 4-20 just me the misses and baby whats new whats new
my orchids growing out another flower shoot pretty happy about that these are alot easier to grow than i thought trying to expand on what i'm growing might learn something after this flower here im going to repot it sounds real easy just got to make sure to cut off all the dead roots and oddlt enough it seems the roots and all go on top of the soil or tree bark more like big chunky beauty bark
not that i need to much more schooling but i try to learn at one thing new everyday or whats the point

a lil crowded n some N hogs(lil under-nuted), some light bleach from stretch period. i ran out of ceiling height and room width so i am working with what i got. took to long to get settled built n flipped so cut ya boy some slack.... it is the biggest pain to hand water that each day....
