Glad you discovered the w/c Bru. check your area for worm farms and see if you can get it fresh from the worm beds after they harvest the worms. much cheaper and is so damn healty looking black dirt I have ever used, I have grown directly in it stright from the farm but recomend a 50 / 50 mix with some good potting soil, its usally pretty sandy so it doesent campact and drains well.Hey Everybody!
Ok, you all probably know this already, but I must rave cuz I just discovered the miracle that is: Earthworm Castings!!!!
Yeah yeah, I had heard about them before & thought "gee I ought to try them"....well, I FINALLY bought some(out of shear desperation for a few sad babies).
I am here to tell you: GET THAT WORM POO! You can't use to much, the plants LOVE LOVE LOVE it and I am just beyond thrilled with the results!
Now I am using a homemade tea of desert bat guano & earthworm castings.
Next up: Try the molasses in the tea.
Just so's y'all know....these are the happiest goddamned babies I have ever had, and for the first few weeks I was worried they were going to croak on me.
And that's my newsflash for now.
P.S. All the latest pics are absolutely fabulous!!!
50 post to pm, get busy.
man this thread is coming to life, glad to see all the new faces and pic's If ES and I can ever get togather again I will put up some new pic's of my new stadium and whats in there.
I will pm youfound a couple online in the phoenix area but i dunno...think it's best just to go to the store and get a new one. anything new out there i should check out? it's been a while since a last bought a lighting system...last one was one of those 'digital' 400's. it works fine and all but not as cool running as i was led to believe. times like this it sucks to live far from the big city! anyways, if y'all have some advice on a new 1k system...or what about those 600's? perhaps it'd be better to get a couple 6's for better coverage? my flowering room is well vented and has it's own a/c unit. flowering area is appx 6 x 8 x 10 (it's an old home) but easily adjustable with the flat white plywood walls i have surrounding the area (sheets of plywood cut into quarters so it's an adjustable, room-within-a-room kinda deal). plants are taller than i usually like em to be when going into flower so i was going to add my cloning flouro's to the sides for better coverage...do you think it'll do any good? i have 6 double-tube banks of 40w 3' tubes (12 tubes and 480w total). i'm just not used to dealing with 3' plants going into flower in an indoor setting where they could end up around 5feet or more when finished! it's still gonna be a week before they actually start the 12/12 so there's time to put something nice together so any timely advice on my lighting situation is appreciated.
